Review Le Cafe Enchante - Coolangatta

Very decent breakfast place. We didn't quite feel any French vibe about the place but the coffee was good and our crepes were nice as well. Not especially memorable but respectable for a random visit.

Worst eggs bene I've ever eaten (and its the only thing I order when I go out for breakfast). Croissant cold, overbaked and stale tasting. Paid to much for mediocre food. Waitress was lovely only reason for an extra star.

Very poor quality food. Waited 1, 1/2 hours for muddy coffee and horrible food that we had to take back. I have never posted a review before but this experience definitely warrants one. Just to give you an idea, they put veggie oil in my wife's scrambled eggs, my eggs benedict 'eggs' were under cooked, the hollandaise sauce was from a bottle, they put a truck load of herbs on the top of the eggs and just to top it off, I was tasting veggie oil in my food! All and all and I hate speaking bad of places but SHUT IT DOWN or at least get some qualified kitchen staff. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 On the plus side my wife and I ended up going to Raw Energy and it was 1,000,000 times better.

This is as far from French food as France is from Australia. Coffee was not good. We had the omelette and big breakfast. If we hadn't just paid $65 dollars for it I wouldn't have eaten it. Everything was wrong. It was like my four year old daughter threw it together as her first cooking experiment. I'm left wondering if the cook/owner has eaten as I would never have served it if I did.

Chocolate croissant very very good but FOOD TOO EXPENSIVE! And staff not very nice .. very bad, doesn't give good idea of french people..

My partner and I just finished having breakfast here and regret not reading the reviews beforehand. We ordered an acia bowl, chocolate frappe and a nutella crepe. We waited about 40 minutes all up for our food and when it came out it wasn't impressive at all. The acia bowl was tiny (compared to others that I have had), the frappe was bland and had whipped cream out of a can. The nutella crepe was cold and literally just had a blob of nutella in the middle of it. Now we don't mind paying a bit extra for quality food but this was just way over priced for what you got. We would have been better off going to McDonald's.

Service poor - poor girl din't know some prices or seem to know what she was doing! Food and coffee terrible. Stupidly, we ordered a baguette from the display case; when it eventually arrived in its cling-wrap, not even with a plate or serviette, we discovered it was very cold, bread stale and hard, avo going black and tasted too bad to eat ... may have been okay yesterday! Coffees followed later: they certaibnly cannot make a cappuccino - nnot a good flavour or texture. The place has gone way downhill since we were there over a year ago. Won't bother to try it again.

Worst cafe experience ever. Took half an hour to get our coffees, and another hour to get some eggs on toast. The coffee tasted like mud and the food tasted like vegetable oil. We took the food back and asked for our money back. We won't be returning.
