Had dinner here and was pleasantly surprised. My wife and I shared the soft shell crab and seafood linguine, both of which were well cooked and tasty. Only negative was the linguine was a little light on the seafood. Staff were friendly and service was decent
Tucked away in a casual looking complex at the base of the People’s Camp, that houses a reef tour guide shop, and a small supermarket is Fin’s Cafe. They’re open 7 days, for long hours, with a number of menus that cater for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a casual coffee and good selection of cakes etc. They also have an ice cream cone selection that’s pretty reasonable as well. The food is pretty well priced, and offers the best variety of dishes from what’s on offer at the other local eateries.
The service is laid back and friendly, and the chefs take care and pride in their taste and presentation of the meals. The menu selection caters for most tastes, with good steak, seafood and vego options available, plus a specials board that looked tempting as well. The dessert range will test your resolve at the end of the night too, so save room if you’re weak when it comes to desserts!
We enjoyed the banana prawns in saffron and garlic cream, calamari and crispy Cajun soft shelled crab, plus the mud cake to finish us off!
Had a couple of tasty paninis for lunch the day after, although the coffees were pretty average - I guess it depends on the barista at the time...☕️ Worth checking out when your in the neighbourhood.
The best Restorant for dinner at Coral Bay
Highly recommend
