A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch. Highly recommended for groups. The staff were very nice and the food was great. Stop on your way down to Phillip Island or Wonthaggi/Cape Paterson.

There's a reason why Fig and The Bay is receiving so many 5 star reviews. The venue is a beautiful... Originally known as "Carinya", now a 107 year-old homestead-turn-cafe overlooking Westernport Bay.
I booked for a large family Christmas lunch, everyone loved their meals and the service was fantastic. Each dish was generous in size and reasonably priced. I highly recommend the roasted pumpkin smash and the Atlantic salmon. Very friendly staff, not noisy inside whatsoever and all the food came out at the same time which was a feat in itself. From the wrap-around veranda outside you can see glimpses of French Island and along the beautiful coastal walk beyond the fig tree, Phillip Island.This is a really special place worth detouring off the Sth Gippsland Hwy to have brunch, lunch or dinner. Although you have to drive through a new housing estate to find it, I don't think it will be a kept a secret for much longer!
Come here from Melbourne frequently to see family and nothing in the city compares, incredible food every time (and everything on the menu is amazing), lovely staff, really good coffee and best atmosphere!!
Beautiful scenery and a well shaded outdoor dining area that’s dog friendly, water bowls provided.
Food was delicious and filling! Good selection for those who eat less meat. Coffee was good.

Coffee’s great! We ordered the calamari to share and it’s sufficient for 2 person. (We ain’t big eaters) Calamari is crispy and tender and the salad that comes with it helps to freshen the palate.
Great brunch sport with beautiful bay view. We ordered Sauteed greens, Lemon pepper squid & ofcourse a coffee and a chai. Food was absolutely delicious. Great portion size, plenty of squid was in the squid dish, all the greens were very fresh & filling. Great atmosphere, very friendly staff & most imporlantly quick serving time. I think we were served with 10 mins or so. Plenty of car parking & indoor space. Suitable for a function too. Highly reccomend checking this place out. Well worth 1hr drive 😊👍
My husband and I both loved our meals. He had the salt and pepper calamari. I had the pork bao buns. Both were delicious and very satisfying.
Presentation was beautiful. Can’t wait to go back.

This is a must visit if you are in the area. The food is just mind blowingly fresh and delicious. The servers are great, too. I would definitely be coming back for more. Their veggie burger was out of the world.
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE, FRIENDLY STAFF, EXCELLENT MEAL SIZES AND QUALITY. PARMA WAS HUGE AS AND THE AMOUNT OF SALAD AND CHIPS WAS EQUALLY BIG AND THE PARMA WAS THICK JUICY BREAST. GREAT LOCATION and VIEWS. HIGHLY RECCOMEND. 4 of us ate here. ALL MEALS WERE PERFECT. HAD CHICKEN PARMA, fig big breaky, sweet corn fritters & nasi goreng.
FIG & THE BAY: Wow!! Corinella’s jewel. The most beautiful restaurant for miles around. Literally! Beautiful setting near the ocean, a magnificent Moreton Bay Fig tree at your feet, great service, beautiful food, interesting location. In saying that, the building has been there for around a century. Then a residential estate was built around it. We sat outside on the veranda, undercover, with a bit of a breeze. Would be perfect there on a hot day with sea breeze, shade, wine & food on a Sat/Sun afternoon. As Molly Meldrum would say, “do yourself a favour” and go. You won’t be disappointed.
