Review Mias Cronulla German Beerhall - Cronulla

Delicious German food and beer. The German owner and waitress are super nice. Sauerkraut tastes perfect, not too wet and cooked with pepper and spices. Pork knuckle is crunchy outside while the meat is still soft and juicy. I love the cheese sausage, fresh and crispy. The starters are all good, like the crumbled mushroom, Camembert and calamari. Definitely I will come again.

I just went for lunch with my daughter today and did not met the expectation in regards of the food quality based from a friend referral. I ordered pork schnitzel but it's too dry and the way it served the dish was over flow on the regular size plate. It could've be more presentable if it serves to a bigger plate to avoid falling down other side dish when you slice the schnitzel. So, 2 star for trying to rectify the food quality complaint however the owner did not provided me an option on how to rectify the issue. I requested to replace it with different dish "pork knuckle" instead which is it comes the way I expected. And I paid the full price of pork knuckle as replacement. The meat was moist, not salty and crispy skin. The mango beer is a not bad. The sourkraut is quite dry as well. Overall, based on their pricelist, I would expect for a good quality food. Would I recommend it? maybe for the pork knuckle. Should I coming back? I don't think so. First try is enough!

I did love the cheese sausage! But the chips were quite soggy and the pretzel were a little too soft, not so crispy & the bread was super soft and soggy too. I ordered the curry ketchup but I couldn’t taste any curry in it. Loved the sausage though! It was so yummy and fresh!

there are so many flavored beers to choose. food are generous in portion and delicious in taste. we had a such lovely weekend in this place with our little one. best Germen food in town!

The best pork buckle I have ever had! I’ve traveled through Germany and a huge lover of German restaurants and in comparison Mia’s is outstanding. The beer and service was excellent too. Whilst the establishment is small one day it will be huge. Well done John, your German hospitality is the best!

Went to Mia’s tonight with the family for my sisters birthday. I had the pork knuckle and it was amazing! So tender inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. Staff were great, made us feel at home and nothing was too much trouble. (Also, quick shout out to the sauerkraut… understated and delicious)

Amazing German restaurant in the Shire. I really enjoyed my visit last Sunday. Friendly customer service. The restaurant had a great vibe and open dining space. Great for small groups and large crowds. A wide variety of dishes. Decent pricing. You can get individual or shared meals. They have an ample selection of drinks. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Even non-alcoholic beers. I had a great time with my friends. Thanks for the great hospitality. I look forward to visiting again.

Well… To be honest I really don’t understand why this place is rated so high. John was nice and the food smells amazing but that’s it. I thought you couldn’t go wrong with mashed potatoes but I was wrong. The sauerkraut one of the worst I’ve ever eaten. Fries below average. Knuckle was good but a bit undercooked. It didn’t come out of the bone easily. I’m giving you 3 stars because ribs saved you. So delicious. Cook all food like that and you will get more customers. Unfortunately everything except ribs and part a knuckle ended up in a bin. Such a shame as we had a high expectations. Won’t be back for sure.

Absolutely sensational. My wife and I were there from word of mouth for our 17 year wedding anniversary absolutely The best food ever with great atmosphere. My wife and I had the platter for two it was beautiful, cooked to perfection, great view looking over south Cronulla beach, cold magnificent German beer by the litre, really it doesn’t get any better than this. If you give this place a miss you are settling for second best.

This place!!! Such a hidden treasure! Amazing food and drinks but mostly John that runs the place is fabulous! Great service and so funny!!!!! After delivering food from here for a couple of months, I finally found some time to take my dad down there as he had never been to a German Beer Hall before, we went in after booking a table for 2 through john and we have been going there ever since, it is amazing food, the chef Nathan does an amazing job in the kitchen, alongside john who is an absolute pleasure to chat and laugh with, his jokes will leave you laughing for days and the atmosphere is one of a kind, we ended up having my fathers 60th down there and I could not think of a better place to have had it. Thank you john, for everything.

Hands down best german food ive ever had. Do yourself a favour and order the platter, it can easily feed 3 or 4 people. Great friendly genuine service and generous portions. Cronullas best kept secret

Unpaid unadulterated review - Mias Cronulla German Beerhall What a great addition to Cronulla. And a great wake up call for the local eats and drinks places. The owner, Jon, is a deadset German legend. But beyond the free flowing hospitality is the food and bev. The Bavarian beers on tap are legitimately awesome. We ordered the pork schnitzel and the pork knuckle (35minutes cooking time). These awesome pieces of pork are cooked for 90mins and salted, then bathed for a few days in weissbier before being reheated for 30-odd minutes to perfection. Both meals are HUGE so come hungry. We will be back for many more nights. What a great place. Prost!

Great night on Saturday. Food and beer were great and the live music was outstanding. Everyone ended up dancing on the tables. Great atmosphere, highly recommend for a night out

Great food & atmosphere- the BBQ ribs with sweet potato chips were to die for...my wife loved the calamari, Chips & Mediterranean salad. The owner is a fantastic friendly guy...well worth the trip to Cronulla

Ate here last night (German night) with the family. John made sure the kids were fed quickly to allow the adults to enjoy our evening too. Great food and atmosphere. The pork knuckle is amazing - was thinking about it all the way back to Melbourne. Highly recommend

John is starting just the kind of culture and place we need in cronulla. Beautiful fresh food at a reasonable price, generous servings with a smile and a chat. Building up a community. I got the Mexican baguette and didn't want cheese so I got a bunch of suggestions for replacement. At no charge. He goes the whole hog to satisfy. And a lovely friendly chat with the owner and a funky gorgeous place to come and be. Looking fwd to the Friday wings night and the live bands. It's our own little piece of Europe here in the shire, and I for one will be back. A fabulous experience all around and just what we've been missing!
