A quick light lunch midweek. We both had entree’s one was the salt and pepper squid which was really nice, I had the scallops (3) with a sweet corn cream, scallops were cooked perfectly, we added a spinach and beetroot salad which had a great dressing on it. There was meat on the menu also. A nice wine list, I gave a 3* it was pricey for what we got two entrees a salad one glass of wine and a beer. $73.00.
Fish here was genuine quality however I don't figure the neighborhood shellfish would need to get into a battle with anything from Bluff or Tasmania
And in addition the Fish and Chips, the assortment of neighborhood angle alternatives was great and extremely all around arranged, so exceptionally inspired with the sustenance.
Be that as it may, this is a little setting exacerbated by the tables being far excessively near one another, servers butts hanging over your table while eating when they are serving the following individuals is definitely not a decent result.
I took my father here for his birthday - he’s very into his seafood & he absolutely loved it. The fish was cooked perfectly & was well presented. Great wine.
There is a vegetarian menu with refreshing salads and corn fritters.
The service was very professional.
Delicious meal at the Garfish seafood restaurant. I had the roast Moreton Bay bugs with nori, black garlic butter and miso aioli. It was so awesome! You can also watch the chef plating up your food on tv! So cool! Finished off the meal with the hazelnut and espresso chocolate brownie with hazelnut ice cream and date caramel. Thumbs up!
I'm not normally a fan of seafood but I thoroughly enjoyed everything I ordered here. The mussels are a definite must order as the flavours all balance out beautifully. I also ordered salmon and barramundi which were both well cooked and seasoned.
Only wish presentation was a little better so I can take more pictures! 😆
We came here for some after work tapas and drinks. The staff here were just brilliant, if you want good service this is the place to come. They were extremely helpful with which wine to choose and tapas to share. My wine glass was never empty.
The menu was lovely everything that came to the table was excellent. The table really enjoyed the cheese platter, the list of cheese was extremely small but wonderfully chosen.
I would come back here in a heart beat.
Rang at the last minute for a Sunday lunch and managed to get a booking. So glad there was room as the service was impeccable and the food so delicious that is melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back again.
I do love garfish. Their seafood is to die for, and service is great. Every day, they have blackboard specials from the chef, and they're always quite delicious. Prices aren't cheap, though, but they're still not unreasonable, especially considering the quality of the seafood!
Catered well for a big group and birthday. Each dish presented well and the seafood respected. Really liked how you can match a fish with a garnish. Highly recommend.
Delicious and good value fresh fish and salads. Competent staff and extensive wine and beer list. I had fish and salad and and rose, with the mixed oysters. Two course for 2 people (share entree) with a drink each was $106.
Love this place, the fish specials are great, the dory meat is smooth and the barramundi is shown and a staple choice
The entrés oysters are good (tbh oysters are hard to muck up) and the pie is also nice
Definately recommend this place
Great beer battered fish and chips and consistently good oysters
Their salt and pepper squid isn't quite what it used to be but still a local favourite and still do a good waffle
I went to Garfish Crowsnest for the first time 2 days ago on Friday night
( 24th April ) . The restaurant is light and airy and plenty of space between tables . I was very impressed with the staff, they were very professional , helpful and accomodating , and the food was excellent . Couldn't fault anything , will definitely be recommending them :).
Could not have been better. The food was exceptional. It was bettered only by the service which was genuinely friendly and professional. Top class !
Garfish looks both approachable and upmarket. The menu is extensive, partially due to the seasonal specials menu that lists a range of fish, cooking methods and sauces from which one is able to mix and match at leisure.

Never before have lighting and shadows mattered so much when taking photos of food whilst dining out. Sure, there are plenty of restaurants with 'romantic' lighting about the place but this was Earth Hour 2010 we're talking about when participants are enc
Wonderful as always. The oysters were fresh, the fish was delicious, the vegetable curry was spicy, the choc tart was different, very rich and tasty, the rhubarb brulee was yummy, the waffles were quite good and the panna cotta was a favourite. Service was impeccable (apart from a strange propensity for the staff to remove wine glasses...minor issue)
Great service and delicious food. I loved that they have a vegetarian menu, and the waitstaff were all so lovely despite the restaurant being very busy and a few of the tables unavailable due to the cold/rain. Staff were very attentive, and we loved that it was byo. Will definitely be back
Unfailingly good. These people have achieved restaurant nirvana - consistently good food, served promptly and pleasantly and at a reasonable price and as an aside, good sourdough bread.
The wine list has plenty of variety, many realistically priced wines and more importantly wines that are familiar to most of people.
The menu is obviously seafood orientated but there are a few other good dishes for those not so inclined.
Desserts are a bit limited, but hey, dessert is the last thing I need!
Love the idea of only fresh fish on the menu. Service was great and the desserts even better
Had yet another lovely meal here on Anzac day...never disappoints on service and food! Fresh, innovative and always delicious... our local favourite!
Reliably good quality seafood at OK price. Service always attentive. Somewhere to confidently take a guest to.
Good food , don't luck the cannot book thing and not cheep $240 for two at a min with wine
Love it. Keep going back.
Excellent. I hold all my breakfast meeting here. The food is always fresh and comes quickly. The menu is very good with some interesting options (not just the boring old usual selections).
Would be good if they opened earlier than 8am though!
Had breakfast at the Crows Nest establishment - in a word, exceptional. A good breakfast menu, with some fresh twists on a few favourites, and a surprising selection of waffle dishes. And an exceptional coffee. For a breakfast treat, worthwhile.
Good food, not so good experience. The food (I had the Ocean Trout) was worth the wait, which is lucky, because we certainly did wait. Then they forgot two separate items of our order until reminded and the ambinent noise inside was brutal. And, the prices are pretty steep too.
But, if you can live with the overall poor experience, I'll still support the quality of the dishes.
What a great experience enjoyed at Garfish.
Many seafood restaurants are pretentious - decorating their fancy food in a rarefied atmosphere.
Whilst Garfield isn't a casual fish n chips joint - there is an accessibility which eludes other restaurants.
Good food is meant to be enjoyed in welcoming environment.
Garfield excels in this area. Presenting delicious food that is as appealing to the eye as the mouth.
Well worth a visit.
Every dish is very delicious and friendly staff!!! Good atmosphere. Not too loud. Great for gathering. Thank u so much for the amazing experience!!!!
Lovely ambience and delicious food! We had a bunch of different dishes and used share plates so all of us could have a taste of everything. My personal favourite were the scallops, and the curry. The other dishes were quite good as well. Only thing I would change next time is the fish pie. The taste was good, but I felt it was a bit less special compared to the other dishes.
Hands down, the BEST KINGFISH SASHIMI I’ve ever had! Pair it with the french rosé.
Staff are super lovely and attentive too ☺️
Had a truely amazing experience at Garfish today. Had been planning to visit the place for quite some time.
The food, drinks and service were awesome. Zucchini flowers, chargrilled prawns, Sri Lankan curry and the last but not the least, sticky date pudding, all were delicious. Kudos to the chefs and management.
Great seafood selection resturant with good wine selection, I had the snapper pie which was nice but lacked a little depth in flavour, the blue swimmer crab linguine was much nicer
