Popped in for a cocktail here last night and had the best time! I had the spiced rum and pear cocktail which I highly recommend:) looking forward to working my way through the menu :)
On our fourth or fifth visit here we are very impressed again with excellent service! Nikola and Jeremy are the best bar staff we have encountered in Sydney yet! They deserve a massive pay rise!! They have remembered us every time too! They are truly an asset to this place
This is such a cute little spot! I’m sooo glad I discovered it ! Very NYC style bar feel ! I felt like I was in Soho! Great music, ambience, the fireplace and staff adding wood to the fireplace every few hours adds to the experience. (Love wood fireplace smell) 🔥
My friends ordered food and said it was yummy. I just had some olives and a few vodka 🍹 sodas. Definitely on my go to list now for a chill night out!
Great little bar in Crows Nest to start or finish your night - this isn't an area I know well so this bar was recommended by a mate and we wanted cocktails before dinner & they delivered. Bar staff are super friendly and add a really chill vibe. Highly recommended (believe they serve food as well)
A classic bar with an alter ego. Foxtrot Inn offers both a snazzy bar and dining area downstairs and a more fresh, café-style seating area upstairs. Though this bar classifies itself as an American bar and restaurant, I did feel more of an Italian vibe with the food.
I visited with an invite from @cherri_cupcake and tried a few items from their set menu.
We had the truffle fries ($12), arancini ($14), vego pizza ($10), prawn pizza ($10) and the margherita pizza ($10) as well as a blood orange mojito and mango and coconut smoothie.
Arancini balls were deliciously crispy on the outside and were stuffed with mushroom and truffle. Presentation was really cute and I liked how the balls were resting on a little dollop of aioli. Truffle fries were pretty decent too. I would've preferred a little more crunch though.
All the pizzas were top notch and I particularly liked the margherita and the prawn pizza. The margherita was simple but I felt that this really let the flavours shine. The prawn pizza had a surprise kick to it which elevated the whole dish. The vego pizza was colourful and probably looked the most exciting to me. Personally, I don't like rocket so it was my least favourite because of that.
Overall, the food and drinks are pretty special at Foxtrot Inn. The only thing I will say is that service is extremely long. My friend and I waited an hour for our dishes to arrive and that was after we reminded them that we had been waiting for a while.

It’s always exciting to find a ‘hidden gem’. That’s exactly how I felt when I went to The Foxtrot. Hidden from the outside but definitely gave me a ‘wow’ factor once I stepped in into this Bar.
The cozy and relaxing ambience was just the beginning. Depending on what your mood is, you can choose to sit downstairs or upstairs. Upstairs area (greener pastures) would be perfect if you prefer a brighter, greener and summery vibe :)
It was still bright when we came but we chose to sit downstairs to experience the ‘night out’ feeling.
The drinks that we had:
Cognac & Cumquat Cobbler (my favourite)
Good Fortune
Strawberry Thyme
Food was absolutely amazing! We ordered:
Truffle Fries
Arancini
Rocket, Pear and Parmesan Salad
Prosciutto Pizza
and Meat and Cheese Board
I couldn’t even pick my favourites as I seriously loved them all!
Pretty cool bar with a nice open air upstairs area. Food is quite nice (truffle fries were delicious) but a bit pricey. Friendly service. Nice cozy interior with cool looking lounge area.
Extensive cocktail list, but limited tap beers (one of them was very good, I think it was a pale ale)
Limited space upstairs, but has a nice ambiance if you can get a spot.
Does My Bomb Look Big In This
+3.5
“You’ve just ordered the two hardest drinks on the menu,” the bartender at The Foxtrot tells my dining companion. Sorry, not sorry, I’m having my Diced Diamonds ($19) anyway. Leaving aside that it was on a page called the Ladies’ List, it’s a subtly serious drink blending house-infused pineapple tequila, lightly smoky Ilegal Mezcal Reposado, orange juice, lime juice, agave syrup and passionfruit pulp. Conforming to gender stereotypes, I like it better than Ray’s Remedy ($24) from the Gentleman's List, despite usually being a whisky cocktail fan. It’s basically Penicillin, made on Chivas 12-year-old Scotch whisky, lemon juice, ginger, honey and a Laphroaig float. I suspect my preference is because they promised me peat, and delivered me my Laphroaig "float" via a single spray from an atomiser. These cocktails take so long our whole meal is sitting and waiting in the leafy, open-air loft before they’re ready. This could be remedied by delivering cocktails, but with less than forty people in the split-level bar, the staff informed us they don’t do table service when they’re busy. Charles Curnow on the other hand, is clearly used to doing volume. He’s the ‘Madman’ behind Chef’s Kitchen; once a bricks and mortar shop in St Leonards; then a food truck that...
In Short: Chef’s Kitchen at the Foxtrot Inn combines all the amazing burger, fries, and wings style comfort foods that their food truck is so famous for, in a setting that transports you to a world of speakeasy cool, and conversation friendly pub spaces. Tip: The Meaty Ménage and Wings are a must do!
Visiting from interstate for a friends birthday here on Saturday night. She had booked the upstairs room. It was a great little space for the number of people attending. For food, we all shared the cheese & charcuterie boards, grilled halloumi tacos, pulled pork sliders and sweet potato wedges and shoestring fries. All the food was tasty. For drinks, I enjoyed the ginger spice cocktail – very tasty and loved the added touch of cubed ginger on a toothpick as a garnish.
Fly in the wall bar which looks small from the outside but is quite large on the inside. Came here for dinner and drinks on a Friday night... Great atmosphere with more quiet areas and lounge instead of the main bar area if you prefer that.
Delicious hot wings! Not too spicy, just enough. Truffle chips was pretty delish too. The chicken cous cous salad was a rather large portion, along with the chips and chicken. All in all, great food!
Lovely little bar, I love to sit upstairs in the little garden. The bar men are so nice and have good beer recommendations. I didn't like sitting down stairs very much though. I will keep coming here for a refreshing after work drink
Seriously one of best bars in Sydney. The cocktails are delicious. The ambiance was exciting and the staff welcoming, would highly recommend.
Absolutely loved the food here. The duck pate and migoreng chicken wings were divine. Great staff and service. Keen to come back and try out more items on the menu as I'm sure everything is delicious as.
If you are clever enough to find the entry. You'd be foolish not to walk in. From the start you are blown away from the excellent service and atmosphere. The cocktails we had were divine, the food delicious, service is caring. Will have to make it my regular.
Such a cool place to spend quarlity time with your dear friends. Absolutely enjoyed every minutes. The cheese board is highly recommendable. So dose the rest of the menu. No doubt will be here again soon.
Make sure you book, nice cosy venue. The pavlova drink is the best! They have a variety of drinks and small nibbles as well.
Was here with some friends two nights ago for some post-work drinks. Great decor, great cocktails and exceptional service. A big shout out should go to Charlie and Isaac who made us feel very accommodating and welcomed! Would definitely be back!
Fantastic food and drinks, James and his team are lovely people who get down to a personal level with their customers and give accurate recommendations on what their next drink should be. I’d highly recommend The Foxtrot to anyone who likes trying a wide range of very unique beers, ciders and seltzers. Huge props to the people in the kitchen with the steak sandwich :)
High end cocktail bar in Crows Nest who take pride in their unique creations. Table bookings essential
