Three of us dined here with a 50% discount deal from TheFork. We ordered three drinks, one starter, one serve of poppadoms with dips, three mains, a serve of rice, a serve of naan bread and two desserts. Without any discount that would have come to $147, with the 50% discount off the food (not the drinks) it came to $81, which for a superior dining experience, isn’t bad value for money these days. But you may not always be able to get such generous discounts with TheFork, because it seems like they pull out all the stops, to encourage patronage in July, probably the worst month for restaurants, being midwinter and school hols. However I note that EatClub seem to have a regular offer at WW of 30% or 35% off the whole bill.

Putting price aside, we had a pleasant evening here on a chilly Sun night in early July. Our booked table was ready and waiting for us in a decent spot near the back. The place is carpeted with wooden furniture, low, mood lighting, wood panelled walls and decent heating, creating a warm, inviting and homely atmosphere: Perfect for winter, and one can’t say that about too many other Syd restaurants, most of whom are ill equipped to deal with our freezing weather.

The place was surprisingly full, with a busy, lively and energetic vibe. I can only put that down to all the discount deals on offer here, because looking around this once bustling dining strip on the Pac Hwy in Crows Nest, most other places were, at best only half full, and some rather empty.

Being quite full though had it’s disadvantages because the service was a tad slow. Staff were friendly, polite and courteous but obviously the kitchen staff were struggling to keep up. Drinks and starters arrived fairly quickly, then followed a tedious half an hour wait for the mains.I had a feeling something was up, when after our starters had been cleared away, they brought us a small dollop of what tasted like sorbet, which we were told was to freshen our palates between courses, but I suspected it was just a ruse to placate us while we waited! No matter, because the food was worth waiting for. It was outstanding: Fresh and tasty with delicious creamy sauces. The meat dishes were succulent and tender and the cheesy malai kofta was a nice contrast. Rice and naan bread were the perfect accompaniments and the sweet gulab jamun and kulfi desserts were the ideal way to end the meal. Portion sizes were just right: not overly large but with this kind of rich food, it’s probably better to go easy.

There are separate male and female toilets at the back, rather poorly signposted, but they’re clean and well provisioned with soap and hand towels.

Even with the carpets, the noise levels were a bit on the high side, but at least it’s good to see a restaurant actually nearly at capacity, especially on a Sunday night in winter!

Parking was easy to find on the Pac Highway, and there are always spots to be had on nearby Ernest Street or in the Woolies car park.

Altogether we were satisfied with our dinner at WaazWaan and would come again with an EatClub or TheFork deal.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Sydney! Everything's on point. We've had food here multiple times and we were never disappointed. We ordered palak dish, Malai Kofta (Hot) and both the sabzis had the same taste as in India. Their dum aloo is also good but not as great as the other dishes. Mango lassi was yummy. We also ordered non vegetarian thali which is probably enough for two people. The highlight of each visit here is the Dry Fruit Chaat. It's so flavourful that it made me all nostalgic about Delhi chaat! A must visit for food lovers.

We had a very satisfying dining experience at WW on Sat 24th Oct 2020. Booking online was a breeze and I received an immediate confirmation of the booking, followed by two further reminders: No way will you forget to dine here. When we arrived at the restaurant, our booked table was ready and waiting for us in a nice spot, in the middle. At its peak, the place was about half full, which was a bit surprising, it being a Sat night, but still it meant that the ambience was calm and relaxed, acoustics were good and we received outstanding attention from wait staff. The interior is warm and homely with carpets throughout. The wood panelled walls, wooden furniture and low mood lighting, all in rather dark, sombre tones, create a stylish and elegant look and feel to the place. Furniture is comfy and the table was large enough to easily fit all the dishes. There were six of us dining, and we started with papadums with mixed condiments, and shared plates of veg samosas and onion bhaji. They were carefully prepared with crispy coatings and fresh, tasty fillings. For mains we choose a selection of dishes including dhaal, tandoori lamb cutlets, makhani chicken, lamb rogan josh, goshtaba, okra and chicken tikka, along with a few serves of basmati rice, kashmiri naan and plain naan. An outstanding selection of food that we all enjoyed. Serving sizes were generous and there was ample for everyone. You will never leave WW hungry! To end, what else but my fav gulab jamun. It was rich and creamy and soaked in a sweet syrup. The perfect way to end the meal. All the food was beautifully presented to the table on stylish white or grey stoneware crockery. Service from our waitress Lakhnavi and her polite young assistant could not have been better. She was helpful, attentive and friendly. Orders were quickly taken and the meals came out at a steady clip and in the correct order. Such fast and efficient service, made for a relaxing, hassle-free and pleasant evening. We paid $193 for six of us, after a $30 ent book discount. For that we got a bunch of starters, dhaal, six main meals, a large rice, two kinds of naan bread, a coke, a single dessert. We brought our own wine, so corkage added another $20 to the bill. Add in the tip and we paid $70 a couple, a fair price I thought. There are separate male and female toilets at the back. They’re clean and well provisioned, but a sign, to indicate where they are, and visible from within the restaurant would help. Parking in Crows Nest on a Saturday night can be a challenge. There’s the nearby Woolies car park (entry on Burlington St) but that offers only two hours free parking. I usually head straight for Ernest Street, where restrictions end at 6pm, and I can generally always find a spot there. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk to the restaurant, via the Woolworths supermarket and the well stocked BWS liquor store. This is a fine restaurant that’s clearly run by professionals. The quality of the food is excellent and serving sizes are just right. The ambience is relaxed and laid back, in tasteful and attractive surrounds. Service is outstanding. Toilets are clean and well stocked and there’s usually easy parking in Ernest Street or the nearby Woolies car park. We’ll be back.

Amazing food! This place had great food and the service was impeccable!! Ayesha was a lot of fun, allowing us to change up the spice level, swap out meals from the set menu and try drinks that weren’t on the standard menu. I also couldn’t flaw the food at all! Everything was the authentic ‘indian’ spice level which was perfect and all the food was extremely flavoursome and tasty. We’ll definitely be back :)

Authentic flavors of Indian cuisine in the north shore. It's very difficult to find a place that serves Indian food which does not all taste the same. This place serves up quite a fare and it's been a delight dining there. The fish entree was so flavorful and buttery, mind blowing. The lunch thali was a good easy to taste the variety in the dishes. Finished off with refreshing Phirni.. and it couldn't be better.
