I was very sad when Sam closed his Crows Nest restaurant several years ago, and was thrilled to find them now in Northbridge with the same menu and same delicious Laksa - in my humble opinion it’s Sydney’s best! The tomato rice with fried chicken is pretty amazing too :-)

had a $60+ order on uber eats, with Chicken Curry + Rice, Laksa + Extra Noodles, and Sweet & Sour Pork (a "Main" on the menu) Portion sizes are pretty small - the Laksa was great (it's a laksa house so that's good), but the Sweet & Sour Pork was **tiny** (see photos) Sarah and I were pretty disappointed

After 3 years i found them again!! Still one of the best laksa's I've ever had in Sydney. It won't be this long again i can promise you. Worth the trip from anywhere in town!

Great range of delicious Malaysian & Asian cuisine. Noodles, rice & roti. Sam will cater to individual needs as far as chilli heat & other likes & dislikes. Great Husband & Wife team 😊😊 There are many dishes to choose from: Laksa, Char Kway Teow, Chicken Rice, Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak and the list goes on ..

Yesh finally Sam's back! After a hiatus of a year, Sam, whose shop at crows nest, delighted patrons for more than a decade (or 2), has moved to our old sleepy burb of nthbrdg where the 'celebrity' chef, Billy's shop was previously. Spore hokkien mee, sam's own version, which has stood the test of time and one of my firm favourites. No it is not quite authentic as it lacks the prawn shell broth, pork lard, pork slices, etc etc, sam's ver is more akin to 'spore noodles' w a twist. Let sam know how mild or spicy you want it. Comes generously sprinkled w mini prawns n squid. Forget the normal char kwee diao which is available in the menu. Go for the penang ckt, again sam's interpretation minus the clams. Nasi goreng w bbq pork (or any meat of your choice) is another fav of mine. Let's not forget the har mee (prawn noodle soup) while you are there. What i do steer away from is the laksa (sorry sam). I am never quite taken by the broth, which comes across as too 'coconuty' and lacks the prawn 'punch'. Everything else on the menu is worth trying though.

Food is delicious and the flavour is just the right amount for us. Will visit again!

We had a family night at Sing & Sam's Laksa House last night and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My personal favourites are Roti Canai with beef followed by the Prawn Laksa. The rest of the family, including the vegetarians, gave the menu a right work-over. Everyone agreed the meal deserved a 'thumbs-up'. We'll be back to see our new best friend Sam.

It's an extremely inexpensive licensed restaurant with fabulous tasting food sweet endearing staff and deserves to be famous for the best Laksa (Malaya trained) in sydney

Malaya-trained chef. Consistently high standard with exactly the right ratio of coconut milk to spices. Beautifully cooked chicken breast. Ample parking right out the front, white tablecloths, starched napkins and ice cold Tsing Tao. Highly recommended!
