Review Indigo North - Crows Nest

Got the Groupon voucher for brunch - don’t bother. Food took 1hr 15 and when it arrived the toast was like cardboard, the eggs over cooked, mushrooms raw and the coffee was terrible. If I hadn’t already paid for the voucher I would have left. Worst place I’ve ever been for brunch.

We waited nearly an hour for brunch. The restaurant was not busy. Clearly there were problems in the kitchen. What made it all worse though, was the wait staff all insisting that the problems were in the kitchen and not with them, but they did nothing to improve our experience. They didn't give us honest feedback about how long our wait would be. They left tables uncleared when diners had left and not because they were too busy, they were sitting around. We had to ask for water. When the food finally arrived, we had to ask for cutlery. I had ordered poached eggs with my brunch, but what arrived was just a pile of overly salty egg mess. The hashbrown had no flavour and the toast was just warm bread. We were lucky though, the couple next to us left half way through their meal (after also waiting an hour) because their sausage hadn't been cooked properly and was partially raw. We won't be going back.

Me and my husband visited this place a week back and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the Salted Caramel Martini and the Mango Daquiri which were absolutely beautiful and so refreshing for the weather. We then ordered the Whole Baby Snapper and the Crispy Pork Belly which we shared. Both meals were beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Would recommend to everyone!

Disappointing food and no atmosphere on a Thursday night. Has the potential and location to be a good bar but needs to improve the standard of food to survive Crows Nest standards. Ordered scallops for $25 and there were 6 small bites and a few green beans on the plate. Manager discounted it to $15 after we mentioned we were disappointed. Hopefully this bar gets better as it hasn’t been open long!

Came across this unassuming relatively new place in my local area and was really surprised in the best way. Had a duck special and flatbread and it was awesome plus the staff were really nice and attentive. Best food we’ve had in a while. Also ordered wine and beer which were nice and cold. We wanna go back to try their desserts as they looked amazing.

3 course meal took them 3 and half hour to serve us. There were only 4 of us in the restaurant and the food came out one dish at a time. Mezze plate and lamb cutlet for entree was really nice, calamari was very tough and chewy. Main dishes are worse, snapper wasn't cooked through and tasteless, crispy pork was tough and chewy, medium rare steak was well done, only beef bone dish came out nice and enjoyable. For dessert, pavalova doesnt have any cream and 4 raspberry on top for fresh fruut is sad. They couldn't produce the molten lava cake after an hour of waiting again, by then we were so tired and ready to go home anyway. During the whole time, the manager/owner didn't even bother come over to us and apologise. He's busy talking to the ppl drinking at the bar. The bar area is very nice, the restaurant was nicely decorated. I do like the ambience of the place. I hope you will have better luck than me if you go there.

We went for bfast on a Sunday. The place has nice ambience and seating and service was good as there were not many customers there. Ordered eggs& toast and big breakfast. It was just about ok. Sausages were tasting funny and hash brown looked deep fried and dint taste well. Maybe the place is more for casual evening drinks than food.

Classy surroundings, great food, impeccable service. The lunch special is just that. Extraordinarily special value - very high quality and at a very reasonable price. Nice live music in late afternoon evenings on Fridays and weekends which is an elegant touch. Every dish I have ordered here has been done amazing well: fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked, well presented. Inside is airconditioned, outdoor seating also. Nice vibe.
