Sarvana Bhavan is one of my favorite south indian restaurant chains. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - they have an excellent variety of food and it is very authentic. I ordered vada and veg biryani. Vada was good and chutneys were yummy.
Biryani in first sight actually looking like pulao. I still was like let's try it.. but there was no salt.
I told them and they took it back..
I ordered ras malai and that was good.
Very nice south indian vegetarian food. It was the first time we tried this restaurant and the staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was very quiet as people are still staying away from town centres and restaurants etc.
This is a good place to bring vegetarians to (their meat dishes very good too). I've only encountered annoying vegetarians and so i steer well clear of vegans. I remember telling African children that lived in absolute poverty what being vegan meant and they didn't understand it.
The usual Saravana bhavan ... good Indian food especially South Indian ..... tried dosas , idli , Vada all were good , North Indian thali was ok but the gulab jamun was awesome ... it was busy but the service was quick so overall good .... this one is also near to the east Croydon railway station ..
