The rice is what I look for when eating the Hainanese Chicken Rice - i.e. cooked with chicken fat or the soup so the rice has fragrant of the chicken.

Ordered take away. Tried the hainanese chicken rice and nasi lemak chicken. The portion is big and reasonably priced. Just remember the chicken rice only available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Homely and nice Malaysian curry laksa and nasi lemak. Easy to find parking and usually easy to get a table during dinner. Thumb up for the service!

Reasonable price and more chicken than other restaurant, I come here for hainanese chicken rice and not disappointed!! Used to eat in their Clayton restaurant LONG time ago and am so glad to find them now in Croydon! Very friendly service too! But don’t expect a high end decor this is more like a traditional Asian restaurant.

Rin

The yam ring with Kung Po chicken and sizzling tofu with minced chicken were the main highlights of the night. The both dishes are extremely authentic Malaysian dishes and they make them to perfection! I’m so happy I’ve finally found a place which offers this yam ring because there aren’t many Malaysian restaurants that do. Will definitely be back.

Friendly and efficient service.Loved the char kway teow which was not oily. Price is very reasonable esp for lunch.
Come support chef/owner John. The pioneer of all previous "Kota" restaurants.

The food was amazing!!! I ordered the coconut butter king prawns, with a bit of chili in it! Was really delicious! And the curry beef was really good too!!

There were 30 of us here for an end of year Christmas party. I reckon the place could have fit another large banquet table and a few other smaller tables along the side. This place is known for its hainanese chicken rice. The sambal belacan mixed vegetables was also excellent as were the deep fried crispy King prawns, beef, fish and bean curd. We finished the meal with a 60th birthday cake served by the owner chef himself. There is plenty of parking out front. They also have good ventilation so you can't smell any of the cooking smells and it is well air-conditioned. Perfect for a hot day. The staff were also very obliging in helping us take our group photos at the end of the evening.

If you want to taste the best Hainanese Chicken Rice in Melbourne, this is the place to be. The chicken rice is fragrant and not soggy. The chicken is smooth and tender. The home made chilli sauce which elevates the entire dish is authentic and fantastic. Their CKT and Curry Laksa are also very nice and I strongly recommend.

The food was delicious and size was very generous for way too cheap!! This is high-end quality foods for standard everyday meal prices. Too good! Great and friendly staff and environment as well. 100% recommend.

This food is the best I've had in a LONG time. It's very hard to find full authentic delicious asian food in the eastern suburb regions. The food is absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS and the value and size is too good to be true. Extremely great staff as well.
