This was one of the few places open on xmas day in Darwin, naturally we decided to have lunch here. Wait staff were friendly, and it was nice to dine al fresco whilst being protected from the rain. We had the sweet and sour fish, which tasted fresh and crisp. I also had the chicken pho. Whilst the broth was satisfying, the chicken pieces were sub par for a restaurant establishment. However, the hot Vietnamese coffee took the cherry! It is not an item on the menu, but can be requested if you are happy to wait. Took me back to being in Vietnam. All in all, not a bad joint.
I haven't been to Saigon Star for 7 years but it always had good food in the past so thought I would pop in again. Staff were lovely and the service was very fast. Garlic Chicken was delicious would definitely have that again but the Singapore noodles were a bit of a let down. They over done it with the curry flavor and it was just too overpowering.
Quality! It Shouldnt Be That Hard! Love A Wonderful Mouth Full Of Wholesome FOOD!
+3.5
I ordered vegetarian vermicelli noodle salad, it was lunch time because I was so hungry I asked for extra spring rolls, lunch time it's only $ 15 but with the extra spring rolls they charged me $20, not really fair when spring rolls as a entree is only $3
Was nice but I want to try a new place tomorrow to compare It to other Vietnamese restaurants.
I do recommend thins place nice food!
