Nice hidden cafe in the middle of a small botanical garden. Food was good. Soup of the day was spicy pumpkin soup. The curry flavour/spice was overpowering, couldn’t really taste pumpkin. The salad accompanying the fish had a beautiful dressing on it, unlike other places that just dump some leaves on the side. There are public toilets around the corner to the side of Wombat Hill house. Their ‘outdoor’ area is covered/sheltered & there are heaters, so you don’t get cold at all.
Lovely enclosed outside area with a separate entrance for dogs. The seating outside is eclectic so not always the most comfortable but it adds to the garden aesthetic.
🥐 ham/cheese croissant was a bit small but came with a nice salad on the side
☕ Cappuccino was pretty good! Could've been more frothy though
🥐 The highlight though was the apple crumble danish, one of the best danishes I've ever had!
However they don't do scrambled eggs, which was very disappointing :/
One of the best brunch/lunch spots in Victoria. The atmosphere here is really nice. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, whatever you prefer. Outdoor might get hot in the summer, as it's a bit of a glasshouse, but during the chilly morning I visited, it was perfect within. The breakfast pizza is incredible. Grab some food and a coffee and have a look around the gardens for a really nice experience.
