We went there for the barramundi burger but we were told no fish today, all sold out. Quite busy weekend and have to wait for 25 minutes for a burger. The chips are surprisingly nice and the BenTry special sauce is good! The burgers are so so. Good choice to order food and take away and enjoy the view on the beach.
I waited in line for a good 10-15 minutes as it was packed out with customers on a busy sunny day in the middle of winter so naturally a lot of people were out and about, but also looked like there was only 3 people in the kitchen and one staff at the counter wearing a training badge. I ordered the BenBry beef burger x 2, just to keep it simple. I was told of a 25min. wait which I didn't mind (the turnout of customers had me hopeful), and I probably did wait that long but I noticed that the kitchen were punching out orders like crazy. I thought they did well considering how busy they were, how many staff they had, and especially now after reading some reviews here. I thought the burger was amazing and made the wait worth it. The beef paddie tasted like good quality meat, it sized up to the bun nicely, and there was no oily, greesiness from the burger. It was just all fresh, and all goodness!
Delicious juicy burgers, excellent filling to bun ratio. Chips were nice and crunchy and generous portion, but they were really over salted... And the dipping sauce portions were tiny! Measly in fact... But over all very good, and great value, shared one Tuesday meal deal which was $10 for fries burger and a drink and an Aussie burger, so $22 for two people to be filled up. Oh, and the music was awesome :)
Favourite burgers. Huge servings and amazing chips. Fairly fast in my opinion but I always phone order first. Still never more than 15 minutes for 3 burgers and chips. Only had a screw up once and it was minor at that, where doesn't every now and again. Overall love it.
Burgers. On the beachfront at Dee Why with a fantastic view of Dee Why point. Usually always get take away from here.
The burgers here are consistantly good. Find the buns a little bit too crusty for my liking but are packed with delicious ingredients. The chips are nice as well as the hash browns especially when complimented with aioli.
My only let down experience was when the Brazillian girl gave me and my girlfriend's meals to people who had ordered AFTER us. After waiting the initial 20 mins and another 10minutes of wondering why our food was taking so long and then having to ask what happened they had to re-make our order and we had to wait another 20 minutes. Almost an hours wait because of that stuff-up which was quite the elementary error. When these burgers finally came they didn't taste as good as they usually do due to them rushing.
Average burger shop, no complaints really. Having been to its manly counterpart I have to say Dee Why is much better!
Brilliant Burgers. Have been visiting BenBry at Manly so were pleased when Dee Why opened. Same great burgers with same great taste. Good amount of seating when you consider most people head across the road to the beach to eat.
They still seem to be still settling in a little with burger turnaround time currently very slow in comparison to their manly restaurant.
Reasonably priced burger and good fries. Their beef patties were a little bit to greasy but they tasted fine. The good is that you can have it on the outside tables looking at the ocean or takeaway. The bad is the time it takes to get ready, don't expect less than 20 minutes to get your order, so don't come if you are in a hurry. Otherwise it is a reasonable burger house right by Dee Why beach.
Popped in for an impromptu takeaway lunch. Ordered two Aussie burgers (one combo and one just burger) to takeaway and eat on the beach. Was a Tuesday lunchtime so thought it would be relatively quick but alas our order took close to 40mins to be made. Very slow! The burgers themselves were delicious, good fresh ingredients and very tasty. Chips also good - nice and crispy although a little on the salty side.
Food was delicious, we enjoyed and would recommend - 4 stars because it was just so slow to arrive!
Such tasty burgers. Taste like the old hamburger shop burgers back in the 80s. Combos with bread selections, side and sauce is a great way to cater to your taste. Highly recommended. Only criticism is the onion rings can be too batter-y from previous experience but there was none today though.
