Located off the main street of Derrinallum, its a good pit stop for hungry travellers. If you driving from Melbourne towards South-Australia, this cafe may serve you well for your appetite.
I was travelling over the Christmas weekend, hence service was slow and tested my patience, but the food is worth the wait. Fairly priced and portions are generous. Freshness is the key, and FRONT PADDOCK CAFE nails it.
Not much choice though, but choice is luxury when you are deprived of much options along the route.
Such a nice surprise to find, while passing through on a long drive! We had a chicken caesar wrap and egg and bacon toastie - really well made w delicious flavour and a delightful side salad that was super fresh and exactly what we were after.
Cannot understand the 3* reviews, considering how dismal our stops in prior towns had been for both food and coffee, where the price had been just as expensive or more and terrible quality. We paid $25 for two drinks and two plated meals. Pretty good if you ask me!
Great experience .. just driving through on the way to Mt Gambia, Staff were super friendly, great layout in the shop and food was excellent. Would highly recommend
An oasis for good coffee . Not tried food but looks great . Welcoming and friendly service and lovely fit out . Bypass the service stations and average country cafes and make sure u stop here on your way past!
Wonderful surprise on the road home to Melbourne. What a gorgeous cafe! Chris and Cheyanne had only had their new cafe open for four days when we happened to come across it on our drive from Port Fairy to Melbourne last week. Despite being so newly opened the cafe already had a great ambience and it was clear that these two have the formula right from the start. Everything from the polished concrete floors and reconditioned glass-topped wool sorting tables to the mod red chairs and background music was spot on. And the coffee and food selection is well worth the visit if you are even remotely near the town of Derrinallum. I wish I lived closer for a return visit soon.
Good luck with The Front Paddock guys - its a great cafe and sure to do well.

Had a lovely ham/cheese/tomato toasted sandwich. The ham actually tasted like ham! My husband said that the sausage roll was good too, full of meat. Bit pricey, but well worth it.
Very happy to find a cafe serving great coffee so far from home. The lady who served me was very friendly too.
Didn’t eat, but the food looked good.
Great little pitstop on the Hamo Highway. Coffee was very good, with rich chocolate flavours and no over-roasted bitterness. Egg and bacon toasted sandwich was huge, tasty and perfectly cooked.
Love the friendly service, front staff make a killer hot chocolate and out back make a very filling egg and bacon tostie.
I walk in and they know my order and have it under way. Only place in derrinallum to get a big filling meal.
