Great Indian food. Best I have tasted for a long time. The hosts were great; friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The host (chef and wife) have only recently started operating at this restaurant, but come with great experience in Queensland and NZ. This chef is GOOD! The Nan bread is superb.
Just go there
We had takeaway butter chicken with rice and garlic naan tonight. It was delicious, even our toddler loved it. Good friendly service.
A very enjoyable Indian meal. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and all chipped in to help each other out. We'd definitely go again next time we're in TAS. The only slight downside was we hadn't realised we needed to order rice - and we weren't prompted to. We didn't know until the food came out and there was none. It was rectified really quickly and did not take away from the enjoyment.
If this is not the best, it's definately one of the best Indian reaturants that I've ever visitednin Australia.
The interior was so atractive and the girl on the front desk was so nice. She told us that it might take 20 more mins for her to arrrange a table, but she was able to get it and sit us down in 10 mins.
Then she recommended the Samosa for us, sayinf that it's not frozen and house made and we eneded up having 2. It was so fresh, just as promised and was so tasty with the house tamarind sause.
We had a lamb biriyani and we asked it to be spucy and hot. We just followed the normal spicy scale here in Aus and gosh!! It was smoking hot. So if you don't want it too hot,, order your meals medium. We were literally crying our eyes out, but we finished the whole biriyani.. :D
We tried fig kulfi for the dessert and what a treat it was. I have never seen that at anywhere else. Highly recommneded. We also tried the carrot halwa and tgis was nice too.
Many many thanks to the chef!! And I will definately visit the place if I visit Tasmania again by any chance!!
Loved the food.. Loved the service.. and loved the hosts.. we were part of two families with kids on a weekend evening.. The hosts gave us a warm welcome and showed empathy throughout our time there. And since it's a restaurant, the food, which was to be the main event, did live up to our expectations (or even beyond). The flavors were authentic and we can't wait to visit again soon.
Thank you so much for feeding us :)
This was a very traditional meal! I had a great night and the service was excellent, I've never seen rice given separately for a dish like these, loved it!😁
We had the most delicious Indian food at this restaurant. I've never been a big fan of Indian food but have now changed my mind! Rich complex flavours in all the dishes we tried. Dishes looked a little small when they arrived but they were quite ample for one adult. Friendly helpful staff. We highly recommend it!
Try the butter chicken, my son love it so much, said that’s better than candy and ice cream.
Absolutely beautiful Indian cuisine. I'm very fussy when it comes to Indian food and this place has nailed it! The depth and flavor in the sauces, ( vindaloo/butter chicken) and the quality and freshness has exceeded expectations. Very friendly and fabulous family customer service. Do it, you won't regret it.
My partner and I ate here before catching the night ferry back to Melbourne. The food was amazing and would highly recommend. We opted for the banquet meal for 2. The vindaloo wasn’t too hot and flavoursome, lamb rogan josh and butter chicken both really tasty. Portions were fair and had some left overs to take with us. The staff were attentive and friendly despite being under staffed due to covid. We did wait a little while for drinks but they were under staffed so that was understandable. Overall, a great experience and would return again.
