Whilst it is expensive everything was delicious. All our meals were fantastic and the service was outstanding. I would definitely ccolme back for special occasions.

Delicious food, especially the lunch and dinner menus. Woodfired pizzas are amazing, simple with good ingredients and the rest of menu is consistently yum and quality. I'd love their breakfast menu to be a bit more varied - mostly just the basics, although the baked eggs are definitely worthwhile. With a bit more breakfast variety we'd probably come more often. Be sure to book if you're coming for dinner though, it's often packed!

Awesome, reliable and honest to goodness Italian fare. Well worth a visit and a revisit : ) The specials are always yummy and once of the best pasts marinara's around too. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have great taste in decor and lamps too!
If you're a local, it's the only place to go and is unfortunately very overpriced and difficult to book in. However, I had breakfast and dinner there which were both delicious!
I recommend not rocking up in trackies.. it's just not the place for it 😂
The most authentic Italian food in all of Melbourne! The staff are incredible and very friendly. Danni makes amazing coffee and the ambiance of the restaurant is lovely!
Hmmmm what can I actually say about this place. It's interesting! That's for sure! To find such a fancy place in the outskirts of the suburbs
Be weary if you're coming here for dinner don't be confused by the café name and outback exterior. Indoors this place is more of a rustic outback winery style restaurant
Prices are high, and it's more on the fancy side - so expect small servings. In saying that, there was heaps of locals in shorts and thongs.
Quality of the food can not be faulted. It was high! Very high. Taste was amazing in all the dishes, even the deserts.
3.5 stars based on the fact that value for money wasn't there in my opinion and I wasn't expecting it. $190 for four and we went and got a kebab
Great food, decor and location .... beside the train line. Next time we will train it so we can have a drink. I will be visiting again soon.
Came back again today for lunch having a selection of entrees and veal cotaletta and the food is better than ever before. Truely brings back the memories of eating my auntie’s food in regional Calabria. Here are my thoughts from my visit in 2016, enjoy....I know why it is called Houdini's; it's because the food is so good it disappears right off your plate. Like many of the other reviewers I was astonished to find such a little gem and was already planning my next trip with my first mouthful of those meatballs - I honestly had to restrain myself from diving face first into my bowl to lick every drop of that wonderful sauce. We went as part of a large private function today, so the place was full yet the service was excellent, personal and homely, well done! See you all soon.
