What an amazing experience. Within five minutes of our guided boardwalk we had an adolescent cassowary confronting us but thanks to Steve and his trusty rake we never felt in danger. Steve was so incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the rainforest. We loved it and to top it off saw an adult cassowary at the end of the walk. Spectacular. And a big thank you to the owner/cafe staff. So friendly. Highly recommended.

This was the highlight of our visit to far north Queensland. While we were walking along the boardwalk, we were lucky enough to see a father cassowary and his striped baby. Nothing beats that! Thanks so much Lee for sharing your local insights with us.
