There is not many places where you can cater for gluten intolerant diners with good food AND good dessert, but Mister K is a place you can't miss, whether you are gluten intolerant or not. I love the gluten free noodle and that the egg waffles are also gluten free is extremely considerate and my colleagues could not have been happier. Thank you for your wonderful food and service. You will certainly see us very often

My goodness. Cannot recommend Mister-K highly enough!! Incredible food, and I don't say that lightly! All noodles are fresh made and gluten free, flavour is on par if not better than any other Chinese restaurant I've been to. Great portions, service is also a big highlight. Very well priced and great value. Do yourself a favour and eat there as soon as you can before it becomes common knowledge and it starts being booked months ahead!!

Craving some Malaysian and Mister K has been bookmarked for a while. The chat kuey teow was a really decent sized portion and hit the spot at $13.50 although lacked any Chinese sausage. The char siu and fried wontons with dry noodles was pretty good, although the char siu wasn’t as juicy as I like it to be. The pan fried chicken and prawn dumplings could’ve been fried a bit more to toughen the skins. Overall, it was decent and would come back for their noodles!

Small shop in the northern suburbs but it delivers some of the best noodles this side of Sarawak. The food is excellent. I had the Sibu kampung noodles and it was beautiful. Many people ordered the kolo mee which delicious as well. Will be returning again.

Weekday dinner using SoSure app, got 40% cashback/credit in addition to $10 bonus as 1st time user.

Small premises, limited seating. Within 5 mins arrival at 7.15pm, the place was fully packed. A couple of customers who showed up couldn't be accommodated and had to be turned away.

Waitress warned of 20 min wait, that was ok with us.

When the food came, it looked simple enough. Yet when we tasted it, we were blown away, the noodles were a stand out (handmade according to the menu description). My crispy fried pork was delectable, and the Laksa broth was heavenly!

The wonton soup (10 wontons inside) I would rate above average.

Wait staff was polite and friendly despite being very busy.

Overall a "must return" from me.

Hmm, if Sarawak food is this good, I should pay a visit there some time ...

A malaysian restaurant that in my opinion quite consistently delivers delicious authentic style noodles which are also home-made.
As a malaysian, their different renditions of dry noodle is as close as it gets back home, and the noodle itself is amazing on its own.
Close to giving it a 5/5 but their toppings are quite small and scarce, such as the charsiew, mince meat and crispy pork belly.
Price is reasonable and this restaurant makes a great quick lunch spot if you around Doncaster.

One if my favourite lunch places. Right next door to my company so I have basically tried their whole menu. Cheap and yum, most dishes under $13.

Mister K has a lovely range of Sarawak hawker style dishes. The interior is starting to show its age and it gets a bit squishy during peak times. Service has always been pleasant and efficient.

On a Saturday night, we rocked up to a semi full restaurant. We ordered their signature kolo mee, kampua mee and the fried pork belly noodle.

The kolo mee was a let down. The texture of the noodle was too soft and lacked the springiness I usually expect. It was also missing the pork lard taste and they skimped on the amount of meat provided. The kampua noodle was slightly more tasty. The fried pork belly was reasonably delicious. All three noodles could have done with a bowl of soup each to combat the dryness and blandness of the noodles.

Lots of potential here but with some tweaking.

Amazing authentic Sarawak laksa with tasty broth. Came out hot and brought back memories of home. We also got the spicy signature beef noodle soup which was tasty. We also loved the eggplant with mince meat. Can’t wait to go back

Great quality noodles place with East Malaysia Sarawakan style noodles. BBQ pork noodles and kolo mee noodles are delicious with great service from James the manager. Place is nicely renovated and price of noodles have great variety and value for money. Will go again to try their other noodle dishes.

Great service and food. I would recommend making a booking as it can get quite busy. My two personal favourites are the Sarawak laksa and the Kolo Mee.

Mister-K is a quaint little shop tucked in the corner of several other shops. There is a reasonable amount of parking outside available on the strip. I chanced coming here with my partner since she was working nearby, This restaurant was a great find.

We were welcomed by a cheerful waiter. The decor is simple, traditional and homely. I must admit I was initially quite apprehensive about the whole Malaysian/Taiwanese cuisine crossover - but my doubts evaporated when I saw the menu. The patron chooses the dish they desire from the menu and if it is a noodle dish, they get to pick what type of noodles they would like! Mister-K prides itself on their handmade noodles. You can choose from three handmade varieties: handmade egg noodles, handmade spinach noodles or handmade gluten free noodles. Vermicelli and rice noodles are also available, but I don't think these are handmade. I was quite pleased at being able to pick my noodles - this was a truly unique experience! My glee was further accentuated by the beaming waiter who told me that he made the noodles himself earlier today, and pointed out the machinery he used tucked away by the storefront. It was clear that he was very proud and happy with his work! There were so many dishes to choose from. I was torn between the Kolo Mee or Laksa. Finally, I opted for the handmade egg noodles Sarawak Laksa while my partner went for the Taiwanese Braised Soup with homemade spinach noodles. Both dishes were chosen because they had the chef's recommendation thumbs up.

While waiting for the food to come, I used the bathroom. The bathroom is a single stall that is clean and houses a premium looking toilet bowl. There was a lock on the door to maintain absolute privacy. Fantastic.

When the dishes arrived, I was once again very pleased with the portion sizing. The food was served in a decently sized bowl with a good balance of noodles and soup. I hate how some places give you a lot of soup without much substance. At Mister-K, this was not a concern. The well proportioned food made me very happy. The noodles exuded a true homemade freshness and texture. A splendid mix of Malaysian flavours came together to create a fantastic dish that was professional yet homely. It was a superb mix of spice and flavour. The striped egg, chicken chunks and prawns further accentuated the dish. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and was extremely satisfied.

My partner's Taiwanese Braised Soup was also fabulous. The spinach noodles (I've never had anything like those before - they are like a healthy spin on noodles) were distinctly different to my egg noodles yet held a familiar texture. The vegetables in her soup brought out a sharply different flavour to that of my Laksa. Hers was almost more remedial. The meat pieces that complemented her dish were tender and supple - fantastically cooked. We both loved her dish.

Being a small private business, it is understandable that a 1.2% surcharge is placed for credit card transactions. It is best to support such small businesses with cash.

While we were about to leave, I noticed that this restaurant also offers food via UberEats. Excellent.

If you are looking for a wholesome Asian cuisine experience in Doncaster East, I highly recommend you give Mister-K a shot. They take great pride and joy in their work and deliver a homely experience. You won't be disappointed.

Makes me miss home. Got the right texture for egg noodles. Very delicious at a great price. Don’t expect any service though as there are only two staffs working at the time. Happy to support them every now and then! Keep it uo

Every time I come here the food is always excellent. Great portion and full of flavour! One star less for their not so friendly service, but I will keep coming back!

The food has been consistently great. The noodles are well made with the perfect Malaysian noodle texture. We’ve always come back here knowing the food will be good, especially the kolo Mee, chicken chop dry noodle and braise beef noodle soup. The service is fast and use to be not that friendly but their latest waiter was very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Now it’s great food with great service!
