Ducked in for a (late by Hunter Valley standards) 7.30pm dinner on a Monday night. My sister and I couldn't go past the 'Sunday Roast' dinner. For $50 we got sweet soft pork (served on a board ... ) with a luscious thick red wine jus. As sweet and tasty as that was, the sides were a standout. It came with creamy cauliflower, a salad who's dressing to content ratio was perfect, and THE best crunchy chat potatoes EVER. They were like someone made the fluffiest mashed potato, coated them, fried them and served them with the perfect amount of salt. They should seriously sell them as bar food. Their alcohol sales would skyrocket. We got two bowls of those but didn't make it to the bottom of either of them. Seriously good. We also chose the beans and bacon as an extra side because .. well .. bacon!! They were also really tasty if just slightly overcooked but then all is forgiven because ... well ... bacon and we were late !?!? We were too stuffed for dessert and we didn't really look at that menu because ... well pork AND bacon!! I'd go there again. And I would happily recommend others go there as well. It certainly isn't what you would expect from a golf club's restaurant. It was way better and really exceptional value for fifty bucks. I wouldn't mind going back to try other things in the menu. I was tempted by the lamb shank but ... pork!! Lol

We had a beautiful meal for our celebration. We were set up on the best table, with a beautiful view of the fountain, the steak was perfect, and the sides great. Dessert was just as awesome. I have an allergy, and was well catered for, and I much appreciate it. We will be back again. �

Brilliant!!! Beautiful meal will highly recommend to everyone. Soft shell crab taco was outstanding as an entree and the scotch fillet steak main was cooked perfectly. Well done and we will be back.....often

I attended a scrappin class today at the club and stayed on for dinner. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. I will definitely be returning and telling everyone about The Valley. Well done guys!

Friendly and relaxed environment. Hope to be back to try the food. Coffee was the best coffee I had in a while. Highly recommend going here. The staff are bright bubbly people, you can tell that they LOVE their job. As someone with a disability, I felt welcomed and like I was human. Disability friendly, wheelchair accessible.

Wow, wow, wow! Chef Jordy, you've excelled yourself again! Lamb rump with cauliflower au gratin plus mushrooms and spinach: every mouthful was a taste sensation! The lamb was awesome, cauliflower was crisp and tasty, the dressing on the mushrooms and spinach was divine: all together it was awesome, then.....creme brulee for desert. This was a dish where each mouthful was savoured, enjoying the taste, before taking another spoonful and savouring the fresh taste again! I've run out of superlatives! A truly sensational dinner. Do yourself a favour if you're in the Maitland area; go to East's Leisure Golf and Bowling Club and dine at The Valley Restaurant! It's sublime! Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favour and go and experience the meals at this restaurant. Chef Jordy has an entire menu of unique and imaginative meals created from his years of experience working throughout Europe and Australia's East Coast. How do I know this???? Chef Jordy took the time to sit and have a quick word with us as we finished our meal.. its those personal touches coupled with amazing service that will have me returning..
