One of my favourite places. Beautiful food, great service with a smile and a lovely environment. They also cater for vegetarians and have many gluten free options. We are very grateful to call this place our local. ❤️❤️
Great little country pub not too far off the Calder freeway, well worth the detour for an "everyday premium" experience. Friendly staff welcomed us into the main bar, complete with standard and craft beers from local breweries. Our favourite was the drinks from Holgate and Palling Bros.
Menu is smallish but what they do is very good. We chose the karage chicken, fisherman's basket and roast pork. Food was pricey, but justified by the taste and portion sizes. Our family of four was fed at around $120.
This isn't a cheap eats place, but if you're keen on good food and good atmosphere (notice the fireplace) and don't mind the prices, then you'll be very satisfied.
Was so excited to try this place and we were not disappointed. My partner and I tried 5 share plates and would go back for 3 of the 5 again and again. Our favourite the soft shell crab burger!!!
They had a toy selection for our kids to keep them entertained which was a great addition.

Amazing Food - Amazing Service and Amazing atmosphere.
I was here tonight and heard 2 ladies treat the young waiter absolutely horrible. We sat across from them. (Just saw there review) Guys, ignore them, you always provide wonderful service, you’re so knowledgeable and helpful. It’s our family local. We love it! Keep up the fantastic work and don’t let people like that get to you.
The food was absolutely amazing. Generous serves, wonderful service and lovely wine. This pub is absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to come back!

Friends from the city most impressed
Had mother's day lunch at The Elpho on Sunday with husband and 3 kids. Was pleasantly surprised by my complimentary drink on arrival! The staff were lovely, the venue is tastefully decorated and loads of space for kids to run around in the beer garden. Our meals came out in good time and were better than expected. Kids said the bowl of chips were the best they've ever had (very large too), I had the Beef Rendang and it was great with home made roti bread $29, very reasonable price. We shared some scallops that were delicious and my husband had the slow roasted lamb which was well cooked and very tasty again, reasonably priced at $36. Thanks Holly and crew, we will be back again and again!
