Bala da Dhaba has the best Indian food I’ve ever tasted. We went here one evening on a whim before lockdown and it was the best experience. The servings are generous, flavoursome and truly delicious. The service is great and staff are all friendly!

Whether it’s work evening drinks and dinner or family lunch or dinner Bala Da Dhaba is my favourite place for Indian food. The aroma, tingles the taste buds and takes me to the streets of Delhi. The fresh crispy, layered buttered naan are generation old dishes. The slow cooked curries and freshly made condiments enhances the art of food served.
We went as a family on one of the afternoons. We tried a few dishes, my children and husband both loved the lamb Rogan josh. Really wish more and more people can present, cook and serve food like you guys do!

This place lives up to everyone’s expectations!! i went with my family after long time the food is so flavor some here and AMAZING! Definitely recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh my favorite ! Mind blowing !! Would come back to try other traditional Indian food and the service is lovely too
It's great to see that the flavours and quality of meal is still awesome as I haven't been back here in over 6 years. I used to visit Bala Da Dhaba all the time and eating here again reminded me of why i used to. I brought my 10 year old along for a first time visit to an Indian restaurant and I'm glad it was here. She loved it. We shared the Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken, basmati rice and also garlic naan. Delicious.
The service was friendly and we were looked after very well. The place has changed hands and i wouldn't have known as the food was as good as it used to be years ago. Well done to the new owners. I noticed that the kitchen was quite busy with takeaway orders. A good sign of popular food.
Even though I no longer live in the area i'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend.

Been eating here for many years and the food is generally quite good but the curries have become very mild, presumably to cater for the weak patrons with no courage and generally a lack heat imagination....
Where is the chilli?
We always have a great time at Bala Da Dhaba. There is always great service and the food is the best Indian in Melbourne. If you want it hot, it will be hot. We love the CTBM, lamb madras and Goan fish curry. The naan is always fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend
