Another one of those great little cafes for when you are on the run and need a great coffee fix. Close to all the other amenities on busy Glen Huntly Road, I like to stop here and grab a coffee to takeaway before heading up the rest of the street.
Staff are so sweet and the service is great. They have a good toastie and coffee deal for $10 which is hard to pass up. I had a yummy toastie with pastrami, cheese and tomato relish. Absolutely delicious, and the perfect snack for walkibg around with. They also have pastries, cookies and cake to eat as well. Little Monk is a reliable little cafe that is a favourite with locals for a great coffee fix.
Coffee and cookie review only. Little Monk is indeed little. A hole-in-the-wall cafe that only has kerbside seating, and a simple straightforward menu consisting of toasties and baffles.
We ordered our skinny latte and sat down. It was a bit hot at the beginning, but in current weather conditions, it was bliss to cradle the cup in my hands. Regardless, it was a very pleasant cup of coffee that left a strong and creamy mouthfeel. Paired this with a soft, crumbly and perfectly spiced chocolate chip ginger cookie, and it's like a warm hug on a cold autumn day.
A steady stream of regulars while we were there reveals the popularity of this place. The chatty and friendly barista most likely has a hand in this too.

Lots of great coffee in Elsternwick, but Little Monk in on another level. Very friendly service from the owner who is always up for a chat. Delicious sandwiches/toasties too. Highly recommend the cheesy tom. On a warm day, can't go past the peppermint ice chocolate.
Great little coffee shop! Very friendly atmosphere and great coffee at a realistic prices. Food is yummy also! Well worth a visit, especially on nice warm days.

Best coffee in the street. Always consistent and friendly service. Jaffles and wraps are fresh, tasty and quick if you're feeling peckish. Grab a seat in the sun and watch the world go by!

Great coffee . I really like the owner he is lovely and caring and love to have a chat . I use to grab my coffee on the way to work and it was easy to park at the front . This place has a good vibe, it all comes down to people . Well done !
