Reliable cafe in Elwood. Food is always good, coffee is great and staff are friendly. We ordered coffees they use old school Vittoria which was a refreshing change. I had the brekky burrito the bean salsa was delicious on top. My friend had the Havana baked eggs. It was a great portion size and the eggs were cooked well. Will definitely come back for more.
I was meeting a friend who lives in Port Melbourne for brunch so we decided to check out Cafe de Cuba and sit outside in the sparse but glorious sunshine. Despite the name this is definitely not Cuban food although there is a Havana eggs on the menu that seems like it could be inspired by traditional cuisine. There's also a scandi eggs dish and all the breakfast basics. The menu consists of simple classic brunchfare. You will find no matcha latte here which suits me just fine. Matcha really has become the ingredient de jour of late and frankly I'm a little over it. I had a lovely fresh juice which was nice and tropical with lots of watermelon and pineapple and I ordered the corn fritters with avocado, swapping out the bacon for feta which they were happy to do. Delicious.
The lunch menu involves all your pub classics; pizzas, burgers, parmas etc but also has quite a few salads which caters to the beach body locals. We were both satisfied with our meal and the staff were very attentive
Cafe De Cuba is a nice open space for brunching and chilling. Located conveniently on the corner of Glen Huntly Road, its easily accessible and there’s plenty of off street parking around. Great place to try out some brunch dishes, but coffee was a bit disappointing. Skim Cappuccino $3.80. Average coffee. A bit bitter. 5/10
I honestly love this cafe! It's my new favourite spot as a local. I come here quite frequently and the coffee is always excellent and the food is always delicious! My partner and I have come here for dinner as well and it's just the perfect place for a great meal with good company on a lovely evening.
Had a great first experience at cafe Cuba! Came here in a big group after the granny! There were more than accommodating, friendly and even gave us free muffins being the last customers of the day! We opted for the Parma which was a winner! The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable! Will have to come back and try breakfast here too!
It was finally Sunday morning, which meant time to check out a new cafe! It was a beautiful day in Melbourne so thought we’d make the most of it and go for a drive and see where we ended up. Making a series of random turns, we ended up in Elwood (my dream suburb to live in!). We’ve been to a few cafes in Elwood and definitely wanted to try something new so made our way over to a little corner cafe called Cafe de Cuba.
Great coffee. Local cafe, really nice food and lovely staff. Benny eggs were great, bacon is crispy, just the way I like it. I've been here a few times and continue to come back, thanks guys.
This is our "go to local cafe" for a delicious fix of beef burger and egg based dishes. Never had a bad meal and we have been consistently eating here for over two and a half years.
Get the baked eggs! Coffee was also great! Try and get a spot outside and watch the endless carousel of nice cars and motorbike doing their weekend laps around the large roundabout!
Great go to for breakfast. Reliable and consistent! If you want to do breakfast / lunch without thinking about where to go Cafe De Cuba is a good one. Great menu with something for everyone.
I came here with my sister, she ordered eggs Benedict and she loved it. I had the tuna pasta which I swapped for salmon and calamari which was fine as they allowed me to alter the meal. We were too hungry to take a before photo... But as you can see nothing was left over :p They were even nice enough to offer us free muffins as it was the end of the day.
Let the sun together with you delicious breakfast.
Seriously nice coffee here (10/10) young girls serving food and making the coffee are super friendly. Water they give is always really cold , the eggs benny was tastey, could of been a side salad or a few leafs and a bit more bacon, but it was really good simple food. Lovely rustic decor to this coffeeshop. Dog friendly aswell get down and try a coffee today, you won't be dissapointed.
Good food and friendly staff.
Delicious breakfast. Service friendly and efficient. My waitress even put the password for the wifi into my iPad personally. I'll be back to try more of the inviting menu.
