Although some of the dishes were too salty for my liking , I think the food generally is pretty good. They incorporated a lot of asian ingredients and experimented with different asian dressings and sauces which I love, and the service was great. It’s not a great romantic spot for date though unless you like it loud but it’s great to have a great group outing and work your way through their cocktails menu.
Headed to Queen Chow for a quick feed. Ordered the dim sum platter, peking duck pancakes and the fried rice along side verve. We started with the dumpling platter which came with 8 pcs. 2 sui mai, 2 prawn hargrow, 2 spinach dumplings and 2 mushroom dumplings. The spinach dumpling wasnt great but it wasnt horrible. The other three were very tasty. Next came the peking duck pancakes. The pancakes came with a very large amount of duck(could have used some more pancakes)and cucumber and sauce as filings. They were very nice too :D by this time we were full up on veurve, dim sum and peking duck pancakes and didnt need the fried rice so we arranged to get it to go. Very filling meal - will be back! Bar upstairs and interesting design. Positive: TASTY!, Service, Serving sizes, Location & AmbienceNegative: Bit Exxy
6 peice fried dim sum wasn’t reLly dim sum but was tasty.
Funny place. Awkward stairs up above a busy pub, busy bar protruding in front of an awkward covered beer garden of yore. Seating at awkward angles, creating space for waiter thoroughfares. Odd.
Attentive waiter was always at hand.
Numbing chicken dry, with carcasses of Szechuan peppercorns strewn amongst a plate without sauce. Wagyu san Choi bow tasty and tender. Duck pancakes ok, but duck skin not crisp and subcutaneous fat abundant - undercooked.
Maître’d all a bit intense - very eager to proffer more drinks.
Good for Enmore, but not all that good.
