A great place to go for an affordable but big feed. The medium dips and iskendar plate were both very generous in portions and super filling. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant overall is very humble, nothing fancy but will definitely have you leaving very satisfied.
“Cash only” place, good food and a bit crowded during the weekend nights. Prices are pretty good for takeaways and is one of the best turkish food in this area.
Simple, easy, nothing fancy but you’ll get a decent meal here. 3.5 stars for me - go when they are busy and things will be warmer/fresher. It’s not going to blow your socks off but you’ll most likely be satisfied ;)

Ordered: cabbage roll ($6), icle kofte ($13) and mixed grill plate ($32). I've passed by here and mused about their cabbage rolls MULTIPLE times (usually while on my way to and from Cow & Moon; which is across the street) and finally had the opportunity to dine here one windy Tuesday night. The food was delicious. I've never had a cabbage roll before, but this one was huge and filled with spiced rice and poached in a tomato based sauce. It strangely tasted like fermented kimchi to me but with more middle eastern spices. The kofte was a recommendation from our friendly waiter and was minced lamb meat encased in a fried pastry and then left to simmer in a sauce. It was great, the closest resemblance being a really good meat pie 👍 finally the mixed platter with adna (minced lamb patty), chicken on a skewer and grilled lamb. The lamb and chicken were standouts, the salad could have done with a dressing and i would suggest ordering a side of garlic sauce or hommus to go with this dish because the bread, meat and salad aren't flavoured heavily. Will be coming back for their pide next time.
We love Sultans! Have tried so many other places but keep coming back over a ten year period for the following reasons: Hands down best chicken shish skewers in the inner west, amazing mixed grill, dips (go for the mixed dips!), breads and pides. All of that stuff has consistently been top notch. Unfortunately the falafels, which once were terrible, but then somehow became awesome, have gone back to being horrible again - like uncooked dough inside, and hard, dry and almost burned on the outside. Also, have noticed that there’s now some skimpiness with the extras. Not sure what’s going on.

Once upon a time, in the little suburb of Kogarah, there was an unassuming little shop called "Turkish Pizza". It sold the most wonderful pides that authentically captured Middle Eastern flavours and would excite two young brothers to no end when their mum said they were going there for lunch. The store closed down and the same spot has since been occupied by many transient, weak imitators selling pizza, kebabs and fast-food pides. It was a tragic loss.
But then I discovered The Sultan's Table!! And it's even better than Turkish Pizza!!!
I ordered the "Harem's Treat" which has sausage, beef, egg and mince in it. It was quite savoury, and I was ready for that, so I also ordered a mixed dip plate with hummus, babaganush and beetroot dips. The dip plate is absolutely necessary. It is the perfect complement to pide, much like how you'd want to have a bit of rice with the dishes you order at an Asian restaurant.
My companion ordered a kebab shish plate. The lamb looked dry but was surprisingly tender. I think it could have been a bit more succulent (thus the -0.5)
All the food tasted incredible.
We were there for a good 90 minutes or so, slightly struggling to finish the generous portions (pictures of leftovers provided as a testament to the food quality).
While my friend and I discussed the sometimes disenchanting nature of the education system, we debated what to do with the leftover food. In the end, we left that bit of salad and dip behind and acknowledged the importance of not wasting food...which is something that everybody should endeavour to do.
Also, something significant to note is that the restaurant is about 7 seconds-walk from Cow & The Moon. In conclusion, I'm so full right now.
Sultan’s is my absolute fave Turkish restaurant in Sydney. The food portions are great value and the food is amaaaazing! Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve gotten the banquet and there’s such great variety in the dishes. There’s plenty left for doggy bags too. For two people it’s under $90 always and there’s so much food that it doesn’t fit on one table! The waiters will always bring you whatever you need as well without complaining. The food comes out relatively quickly which is also good. No wonder they are always so packed! Complimentary water and breads also.
Our "go to" Turkish take-out. Pides, dips and turkish bread amazing! Chicken and mushroom is our favourite. Meal deal one is the best value around - 2 pides, dip and turkish bread for $32. Highly recommend!!
The mixed dips plate with Turkish bread is a must!! The staff are really nice and patient. We finished our basket of Turkish bread and we had so much dip left over and a staff member gave us a second basket of bread to finish off the dips for free 😭😌 they were so sweet
Combination meat pide and Spinach & cheese pide are my favourites.
Just be careful how much you order because the portions are quite big. The appertizer with 2 servings of bread is very fulling.

Just FYI, this is Turkish restaurant that is serving honest good turkish food.
I did order Imam Bayildi and Mixed Grill.
Some story told about the eggplant dish, imam bayildi, the priest was almost fainted to see how much oil they served on this vegetarian dish. (Wow.. so much for vegetarian dish, eh?)
The dish was jammed packed full of flavour of cinnamon, cumin, smoked paprika and coriander, making this dish so enjoyable.
My husband and I went there tonight. Although the service was very friendly it's was very lacking attentiveness. We had to help ourselves to the drink fridge and waited over 30mins for our food. You may not think that's a big deal but we were the only customers.
The food was delicious, loved the lamb and chicken cooked over the coals and the bread was delicious too.
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely Saturday-night dinner at The Sultan's Table. Although the establishment was extremely busy, we were served quickly and efficiently, and our waiter, Emre, was wonderful.
The food was fantastic and well-presented, we were very satisfied with our meal! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Their perfectLy textured Turkish bread and assortment of dips earn this place 5 stars alone. Outrageously good value and the din filled garage-come-seating area at the back gives this place all the cheap and cheerful charm you could ask for. The kebabs bang too. In general a great cuisine for takeaway.
Best dips ever!
That’s a large size with whatever flavours you want. We were sad that beetroot was such a large portion and told our waiter, we’d prefer chilli. He was very kind to give us another plate with just chilli. Talk about exceptional service 👌🏼👌🏼

This place has the best pide I have ever had. I keep going back for more. It's nice to see the Turkish grandmothers helping in the background & the staff are all quite friendly.
