As usual the food, comfort and welcoming atmosphere did not disappoint. It is such a relaxing place to stop for a break. It is even worth the country drive for a nice day out.
What a lovely find while driving through Esk. Wheel chair access, dog friendly, indoor/outdoor seating, very friendly service and best of all, delicious food. I had the homemade vanilla slice and I thought I wouldn't be able to eat it all, but I just couldn't stop. All the other cakes looked yummy and the local gentleman at the next table said he eats lunch there most days. Check it out if you are passing through Esk.
My new favourite place!! Absolutely love their vanilla slice- crunchy crisp pastry and a beautiful creamy vanilla custard middle to die for!
Coffee is perfect, but ask for a lovely pot of tea!

They have a long list of milkshake and thickshake flavours and all their slices and cakes are made on the day in their kitchen!

Extensive menu caters well to dietary restrictions, lovely grounds and very pleasant hard working staff. Worth going back as there are so many menu options as well as menu specials. And very dog friendly
An amazing place for breakfast lunch or a quick snack for afternoon and morning tea. A great selection of cakes and yummies. Wonderful service and an old rustic. There is a great little playground for the children!
Great atmosphere with a beautiful water fountain out the front. We were riding the BVRT and stopped here for a coffee. Sat in the shade under a nice tree. Staff were very attentive. I wasn't happy with my coffee and they were very generous to remake it. There's some cool little knick knacks inside to look at and purchase. They have a fantastic gluten free range for the coeliacs. My rating of a 4 star is based on coffee experience. Would go back.
What a nice place to come. An old house that has been lovingly looked after. It was ahead if its time, being the first place to have electricity connected ( 40 years before anyone else). There's history boards ( if that interests you), great coffee ( we didn't order food, though we had a yummy cake).
There's great art, crafts and a child friendly zone, too.

Just a glorious heritage home with excellent food and coffee. Love the cheeky parrots and warblers that raid the leftovers!!
