Not sure about the food but they have an amazing singers on Friday night and the people in the bar are fantastic i had the best night in ages petty it closed so early stupid lock out laws destroying Australia they will not be satisfied we are already the laughing stock of the planet in most countries because of Sydney now Melbourne is following suit so stupid and backwards ...

Came here a few months ago and just remembered to post a review. Great service and nice atmosphere. Wide array of drinks to choose from. Had corn fritters, soft shell crab sliders and vegetarian spring rolls for our entrees. They were all beautifully crafted with a perfect balance of flavours. For mains we chose the pork belly which was surprisingly plain and Vietnamese beef salad. The beef was tender and had a pleasant flavour. I'll definitely come back. Good job guys.
great food and service - modern and casual. The chef is to be extolled for his creative blending of flavours and textures. Each course was mouthwatering and the ambience was restrained elegance. We look forward to returning.

Perfect place for a meal and beers. Waiting staff extremely well trained. Myself and mates love this joint and will definitely be back before a night out.

Pretty restaurant in the old Irish pub building. Menu is short but sweet with the bulk of the menu being of Thai origin. My husband and I had the pork belly, sadly we both had a different experience, whilst both of the accompanying salads were delicious my pork was overcooked and the crackling was more rubbery that crackling. Hubby's on the other hand was maoist meat with crunchy crackling. Mum and Dad had the Masaman curry and duck red curry that both came with a side of rice.
There were 3 deserts on the menu, one of which was icecream with icemagic. Of the remaining 2 deserts, they had none of the coconut tapioca left which was highly disappointing.
Service was also very slow.

Saturday night and the 4 of us decided we wanted to try a bit of everything on our first visit to Ginger Annie and the Chef's Banquet seemed to fit the bill. Started with the appetisers, the sesame rice crackers with lemongrass chilli jam with and Betel leaf ocean trout both with loads of flavour. Next the starters comprising of Crispy Pork Belly Salad and the Prawn and Pork Dumplings and even though the Crispy Pork Belly salad was missing its crisp (unsure if the noodles were suppose of be the crisp element or the Pork was meant to have crackling but No Crisp!) and one of the dumplings had broken open, regardless of these minor hiccups both dishes were full of flavour and the Pork Belly salad danced on ones lips with its chilli hit. Both those dishes alone filled the spot but we still had mains to tackle. Mains arrived comprising of Half Chicken Ginger Soy and the Beef Massaman curry. The Chicken Ginger Soy was served on the bone & was pan seared and succulent and even though the Beef Massaman Curry was very mild in comparison to the other dishes, the meat was so tender and just melted in the mouth. The last course was coconut ice cream and ice-magic with peanut-sesame salt. After the flavour explosion of the generous sized dishes already devoured, this course was underwhelming due to its small portion and the missing peanut-sesame salt. One scoop of ice-cream is enough but needs to be a tad larger to cool the palette. All in all a great night and all agreed a very generous and delicious banquet, will be back. So much food and it's a shame that half of our curry has ended up in landfill as the restaurant has a policy of not allowing uneaten food to be taken home, though I'm sure there are health reasons for this but it's a risk we were prepared to take.
This is a favourite of mine, great vibe and venue for a catch up drink and some small nibbles. Eggplant chips and betel leaves are a necrssity for a catch up and great finger food.
This place is really good..betel leaves are spot on..Chicken salad is authentic and zingy, dumplings reminded me of Chinatown in Bangkok, the yellow chicken ribs are awesome..perfect beer food..nice one guys.. we will be back
