Had the pleasure of dining here yesterday on a Friday night. Dont go in with the expectation of just an ordinary chinese place. This restaurant tucked away on leake street really wowed me with both the prices and quality of the food. I had a considerate server who offered silver ware without even having to ask. The mapo tofu szechuab was to die for. Topped off with a nice lychee icecream. It was so refreshing. Was a good find and definitely come back here with more friends
We enjoyed Tope! The staff were very pleasant, service was efficient and good. We replicated our first meal that we had there, years ago. We had the delicious beef, which was delicious and simply, scallops with vegetables. Lychees with ice cream were a nice finish. The food was well presented. However, I do think that where you order dishes to share, they arrive together, or in the order of your choice. Delicious beef followed by scallops was not a good idea.
This is relatively simple food, tasty, well presented and not overpriced. We will be back.
Great little place, beautiful ambience, pleasant staff, sensible background music. We just had some basics, the scallops were well prepared, but the stand out was the delicious sizzling beef. The fried ice cream is always good too. Don't dismiss this place too easily.
I am a fan of Tope. The food is always nice and the customer service is also of a high quality. I like the outdoor area that you can hire to eat in as well.

Talkative staff. Food is ok, but predictable, the pleasant vibe and lovely ambience make up for it, and are the reason we go there. However, don't get there too early. The staff gsther at the bar, and talk together extremely loudly in Chinese. Not a good look, Tope!,

We have brought take away from Tope several times over the last couple of months and cannot fault the meals we have received. In my opinion good quality Chinese at an affordable price.
Pretty good joint... Food is proper quality, good flavour & very reasonably priced.
We mainly get take away, but have eaten in a few times. Venue is pleasant, parking is a challenge.
This is my first time to the restaurant. Chef is cantonese. The restaurant was very crowded but we got a seat. Ordered the hot plate beef, delicious chicken (hotplate chicken), mixed vegetables and a fried rice.
The food was very tasty and we finished everything but it was too salty for our taste bud. Probably customised for local taste but still good. We will come back next time when we are in town.
Food was good the house wine was very good But the service was slow not the fault of staff
Very pleasant. Excellent food. Nice ambiance. Reasonable prices. No complaints whatsoever as the staff were very polite.
