We simply love this pub. The warm rustic interior, and one of the best outdoor beer gardens we have seen. The Sunday sessions with the live outdoor music and the fire-pots, with good food and well priced drinks are always memorable.

Wonderful venue and great food, in a lovely little heritage town. The beer garden is excellent and in most weather just perfect for lunch.
Unfortunately today’s experience was sub standard. Orders were taken, however we were not told that one of the items was sold out. Two orders arrived but not the
Dropped in for post funeral drinks, not really a wake as such. Lovely atmosphere and the mulled wine was outstanding. Interesting to read about the history of this place, particularly chopper read
10/10 for beautiful building and furnishings.
However the rest of the experience was average.
Staff seemed disinterested and service was slow. Ordered 2 coffees and banana bread. Drinks came quickly and we had finished before the (toasted) banana bread arrived cold 10mins later.
Kitchen dosent open
Incredibly tasty traditional food (steak & kidney pie, scallops, etc), very cool interior, lots of seating separated out into multiple rooms and spaces so it feels very cosy. Highly recommend.
Lovely food (including a truly fantastic fish pie and ancient grain salad), lovely decor and atmosphere, good beers, and not super busy. Let down a notch by incredibly slow service
Fantastic place but let down by poor service, we left after our main course as no-one appeared for 15minutes to clear the plates (which were not finished). The food was poor pub food at high prices , the chicken parmi should be perfect anywhere in Australia but not overcooked as both of ours were, d
Old World charm. Nice beer garden but choose a shady spot. Meals were nice. Snitty was huge. Lovely pork belly salad.
