We had the most wonderful experience at this amazing restaurant. We brought a group of 60 people for lunch and Ram looked after us beautifully. The food was absolutely fantastic and all allergies and requirements were well taken care of. I could not fault our experience.
My family and I come here every time we stay in Gembrook because the food is delicious, nutritious and the service is FANTASTIC. The waiters love to have a chat and the restaurant accommodates for vegans (switch cream to coconut milk).
Lovely little place in ferntree gully, I rarely like Indian restaurants in Melbourne because of the lack of the flavour intensity, but this place won me over! the curries were super scrumptious and sauces were cooked to perfection and the nan bread was light and fluffy. Has to be the best Indian food I've had in Melbourne. Service was great too!
Had a lovely experience here recently. the food was delicious and fresh, and the staff were really accommodating, attentive and friendly. we will definitely be returning 👍🏼
Went here for the first time today for a take away lunch pack !..advertised. .lunch pack !! Half curry half rice!😊..wasnt exactly half curry.. half rice. .more rice than curry! ..but having said that! ..the curry was full of meat!!😎😎😎😎....very yummy! !..with a kick of spice!!..not like some of the indian restaurants around!..most restaurants will give you a nice sauce with a few pieces of meat!..😐..not this place! .plenty of meat !!😊would definitely go again! !..p.s...ive only tried the lunch pack! ..$10..😊
Dined here on Wed night as a group of 4. Got a deal from dimmi online booking site for 20% off food bill. For entrée we ordered the chicken momos, for main I had the goat meat curry (on the bone) with rice and naan and then for dessert had the gulab jamun. Other diners ordered the chilli chicken and butter chicken. Food was tasty and full of flavour and spice. Service was friendly also.
What a fantastic find in my own neighbourhood!! I've been in this area for a few years now and still hadn't managed to find an Indian take-away place I was happy with. And to think this has been right in my own backyard..! I tried the chilli chicken, Kadai lamb and potato eggplant curry. I'm no expert in Indian/Nepalese cuisine but the flavours were goooood. Big punchy flavours that really hit the spot. I love that they nailed the ratio of protein to vegetables to sauce as well... normally you get 2 tiny pieces of protein with a handful of veg and heaps of sauce, but not this joint.
So, so happy I found this place :)
Absolute terrific food and friendly staff, the Chicken Momo's and lamb chops Rum Masala are a must!!
However the chilli pork is gob smacking delicious!!Will be back here again. (p.s Didn't realise it went under new management until I saw the new painting).
🎆🎆
I first tried this place a few months ago. I was blown away! I like my curries hot, so, as always, asked for it very hot. Well, it was!! The waiter did raise his eyebrow when I asked for it very hot, but then realised that I was English, so started the conversation about how English people love their curries really hot, more so than Australians. I don't know if this is true..Anyway, I now go there once a week and it is brilliant! Friendly staff, fast service and great food. The only bad thing I'd say is that they've put their prices up recently and it's getting a little bit expensive.. as in $2.50 more for the same dish which is as good from an Indian in Upper Ferntree Gully. But, it is still my favourite. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious. We have eaten here 3 times and every time the food has been incredible. The service is excellent, the staff are very helpful. When we ordered takeaway and the driver got lost they offered us 50% off our next meal. We had not even complained! I never write reviews but this place is so wonderful they really deserve to do well. My favourite restaurant in East Melbourne by a mile.
OMG! What a surprise. This place has been around for years, but it wasn't until date night with my vegetarian sister, that we decided a curry was in order. The food was amazing and the staff are so courteous and attentive. A genuinely beautiful, relaxed place to go for a date or with family and friends. I will be back for sure!
One of best Indian food I have ever tested in melbourne and we visit here often in the weekend dining and takeaway
Tandoori prawns, momos, chilly chicken are my favourite from here... even the service is best that we can expect..
Beautiful Indian food, mushroom lamb is recommended, good service, hasn't let me down once.
Great Find!. One of my go to Indian and Nepalese places in the outer suburbs. Amazing flavours!
Could not fault the food or service, it was absolutely perfect!!! The atmosphere was lovely & I would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone. So thankyou to Bala & all the staff for a fantastic dining experience
Great food. We have eaten here twice now & are very impressed with the food. The butter chicken & Beef masala are so delicious. The food is also reasonably priced, which is a bonus. We highly recommend this restaurant.
I love indian food, & many restaurants have fatastic different flavours. This indian/nepalese restaurant is one of my favourites, I come nearly every wednesday for a Thali lunch. Butter chicken here is second to none! And also like the vindaloo. The Nepalese owners are very nice people who give great service. Highly recommend
Delicious. Onion bhajis, lamb chops and butter chicken were standouts. So happy to have found good Indian in the outer east. Will definitely be back.
Great Value. One of those places that is just fantastic, service is great, menu is extremely vast and tasty, owners and staff very friendly and if you have been more than once always remember you.
Had starters, main and dessert, we took our own wine and the bill was $48. Doesn’t get better than that
Best lamb vindaloo I've ever had!
Great tasting takeaway, lamb vindaloo was deliciously fiery all mopped up with warm garlic naan yum!!
Love it, signage kept me away for a while but decided to give it a go now it's one of my local favourites! Good service not too clingy, nothing worse than being asked "how is everything" with a mouth full of food. 10/10
Brought partner here a few weeks ago and we loved the food, and service was great.
I love urban spoon because it helps you find gems like this place, rather uninspiring on the outside but the food is excellent so give it a go
You would probably walk right past this little gem, but the food is delicious and very affordable! Good food & great value.
Great bang for your buck!. Great Indian food here. I like everything I've tried which includes: aloo ghobi, saag, chapati, naan, chickpeas. I think they're all good - get takeaway all the time.
Yum . Everything I've tried is wicked. Get the goat curry- its the bomb digity mang !!!!!
This is our favorite Indian restaurant. Excellent service and atmosphere and the food is fantastic. Very authentic flavors. Butter chicken, tandoori chicken and dahl makhani are our favorites. Naans are really good too. Highly recommend.
The best Indian food around! We had the lamb Vindaloo (Very Hot) and Butter Chicken with samosas, garlic naan, basmati Rice and Potato pickle, couldn’t fault the dishes! The Vindaloo is the best Ive ever had and the butter chicken is very authentic! keep up the good work. I would recommend having the type of Cider listed on your menu and a water jug instead of getting glass refills. Thank you!
The food was Amazing but I wasn’t very happy with the customer service . We had to call the waiting staff multiple times to take our second order but he still wouldn’t come to our table so I ended up going near the bar to place my order . They might have been understaffed but they can Definitely improve their customer service . Also they ran out of all the pork delicacies and chicken Tandoori ( one of the most popular Indian chicken dish) at 7 pm in the evening which was a little disappointing . The food though was really tasty and I would definitely go back to this place and hopefully recieve better service next time .
Considering how tough small businesses are doing, i am giving this restaurant a 5 star but read my review below.
I ordered a Vegetarian Chow chow & Veg momo last night. It was one of the worst vegetable noodles i had eaten. The taste was bad, quality of noodles were worst, eating the noodles i was getting a weird smell. Very very bad chow chow.
The momos were average, i wouldn’t call it good or bad. The chutney along with it was good and tangy.
Great little restraunt. Staff were excellent and all food was top notch and bought out in a timely manner. Will happily return again when back in the area.
Thanks.
Amazing restaurant to have Indian and Nepali food.
Great place where you can smell the deliciousness as soon as you step in through the door of the restaurant.
We had take away. The sheek kebab was light, spicy and well cooked. The chicken momo’s made us nostalgic, it was delicious and very well cooked. The chicken tikka masala stole the spotlight though. What an amazing spicy dish. The chicken biryani could’ve been better but one thing not on the mark out of 5 isn’t that bad. The roti was nice and flaky.
Will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
We had the best meal, Everest Steam Momo for entree. The goat meat curry and kashmiri naan are a match made in heaven. Make sure you try this combination when you visit the place.
