We had the most wonderful experience at this amazing restaurant. We brought a group of 60 people for lunch and Ram looked after us beautifully. The food was absolutely fantastic and all allergies and requirements were well taken care of. I could not fault our experience.
My family and I come here every time we stay in Gembrook because the food is delicious, nutritious and the service is FANTASTIC. The waiters love to have a chat and the restaurant accommodates for vegans (switch cream to coconut milk).
Lovely little place in ferntree gully, I rarely like Indian restaurants in Melbourne because of the lack of the flavour intensity, but this place won me over! the curries were super scrumptious and sauces were cooked to perfection and the nan bread was light and fluffy. Has to be the best Indian food I've had in Melbourne. Service was great too!
Had a lovely experience here recently. the food was delicious and fresh, and the staff were really accommodating, attentive and friendly. we will definitely be returning šš¼
Went here for the first time today for a take away lunch pack !..advertised. .lunch pack !! Half curry half rice!š..wasnt exactly half curry.. half rice. .more rice than curry! ..but having said that! ..the curry was full of meat!!šššš....very yummy! !..with a kick of spice!!..not like some of the indian restaurants around!..most restaurants will give you a nice sauce with a few pieces of meat!..š..not this place! .plenty of meat !!šwould definitely go again! !..p.s...ive only tried the lunch pack! ..$10..š
Dined here on Wed night as a group of 4. Got a deal from dimmi online booking site for 20% off food bill. For entrƩe we ordered the chicken momos, for main I had the goat meat curry (on the bone) with rice and naan and then for dessert had the gulab jamun. Other diners ordered the chilli chicken and butter chicken. Food was tasty and full of flavour and spice. Service was friendly also.
What a fantastic find in my own neighbourhood!! I've been in this area for a few years now and still hadn't managed to find an Indian take-away place I was happy with. And to think this has been right in my own backyard..! I tried the chilli chicken, Kadai lamb and potato eggplant curry. I'm no expert in Indian/Nepalese cuisine but the flavours were goooood. Big punchy flavours that really hit the spot. I love that they nailed the ratio of protein to vegetables to sauce as well... normally you get 2 tiny pieces of protein with a handful of veg and heaps of sauce, but not this joint.Ā
So, so happy I found this place :)
Absolute terrific food and friendly staff, the Chicken Momo's and lamb chops Rum Masala are a must!!
However the chilli pork is gob smacking delicious!!Will be back here again. (p.s Didn't realise it went under new management until I saw the new painting).

I first tried this place a few months ago. I was blown away! I like my curries hot, so, as always, asked for it very hot. Well, it was!! The waiter did raise his eyebrow when I asked for it very hot, but then realised that I was English, so started the conversation about how English people love their curries really hot, more so than Australians. I don't know if this is true..Anyway, I now go there once a week and it is brilliant! Friendly staff, fast serviceĀ and great food. The only bad thing I'd say is that they've put their prices up recentlyĀ and it's getting a little bit expensive.. as in $2.50 more for the same dish which is as good fromĀ an IndianĀ in Upper Ferntree Gully. But, it is still my favourite. Highly recommended.
The food is delicious. We have eaten here 3 times and every time the food has been incredible. The service is excellent, the staff are very helpful. When we ordered takeaway and the driver got lost they offered us 50% off our next meal. We had not even complained! I never write reviews but this place is so wonderful they really deserve to do well. My favourite restaurant in East Melbourne by a mile.
The best Indian food around! We had the lamb Vindaloo (Very Hot) and Butter Chicken with samosas, garlic naan, basmati Rice and Potato pickle, couldnāt fault the dishes! The Vindaloo is the best Ive ever had and the butter chicken is very authentic! keep up the good work. I would recommend having the type of Cider listed on your menu and a water jug instead of getting glass refills. Thank you!
The food was Amazing but I wasnāt very happy with the customer service . We had to call the waiting staff multiple times to take our second order but he still wouldnāt come to our table so I ended up going near the bar to place my order . They might have been understaffed but they can Definitely improve their customer service . Also they ran out of all the pork delicacies and chicken Tandoori ( one of the most popular Indian chicken dish) at 7 pm in the evening which was a little disappointing . The food though was really tasty and I would definitely go back to this place and hopefully recieve better service next time .
Considering how tough small businesses are doing, i am giving this restaurant a 5 star but read my review below.
I ordered a Vegetarian Chow chow & Veg momo last night. It was one of the worst vegetable noodles i had eaten. The taste was bad, quality of noodles were worst, eating the noodles i was getting a weird smell. Very very bad chow chow.
The momos were average, i wouldnāt call it good or bad. The chutney along with it was good and tangy.
Great little restraunt. Staff were excellent and all food was top notch and bought out in a timely manner. Will happily return again when back in the area.
Thanks.
Amazing restaurant to have Indian and Nepali food.
Great place where you can smell the deliciousness as soon as you step in through the door of the restaurant.
We had take away. The sheek kebab was light, spicy and well cooked. The chicken momoās made us nostalgic, it was delicious and very well cooked. The chicken tikka masala stole the spotlight though. What an amazing spicy dish. The chicken biryani couldāve been better but one thing not on the mark out of 5 isnāt that bad. The roti was nice and flaky.
Will definitely be returning to try more dishes.
We had the best meal, Everest Steam Momo for entree. The goat meat curry and kashmiri naan are a match made in heaven. Make sure you try this combination when you visit the place.
