One of my 2 favourite places in Melbourne... a true hidden jewel in the heart of Fitzroy. Love the plants, vibes, style and ambient in this place.
Open kitchen, extremely friendly staff, really good coffee and an awesome menu that change every season in make the best out of the seasonal veggies and fruits.

A remarkable hidden gem! Lovely friendly staff, fabulous coffee & the food... delicious. We had the pumpkin curry, cured fish & cauliflower & chick peas. All amazing. Totally recommend sitting under the pomegranate tree with fruits hanging down was a gorgeous Saturday treat.

This lovely place is kind of an indoor garden, a bit messy but in a totally charming way... it even had a ping pong table!! We only had coffee but there were interesting choices for lunch, many organic and vegan. I definetely recommend this place when going to Fitzroy.
Great atmosphere! Limited options for vegan/vegetarian people! The serving size is quite small but the taste is great! It looks like a casual bar but the presentation of the dishes and tasting are like fine dinning!

I was so lucky to have the opportunity to experience Grub Sweet Set for the Luxbite & Penny for Pound session earlier this year.
The savoury menu has a bit of French inspiration, with a twist.
Le Puy Lentil & Mushroom Parfait with Sesame Lavosh - I enjoyed this little appetiser. The parfait was delightful and not too heavy, and contrasted well with the crispness of the lavosh.
Pecorino Profiterole with Raisin Glaze - absolutely loved the sweet raisin glaze. I liked the idea of a Profiterole but I found the cheese was a bit strong for my liking.
Jackfruit Bao with Asian Slaw - this dish was okay. I couldn’t really taste much of the jackfruit, although the slaw was nice and refreshing.
Ratatouille Verrine in Pinot Grigio Gel, Pine Nuts, Tomato and Olive - I really liked this one! It wasn’t too heavy, and I enjoyed the variety of ingredients. The pine nuts were delicious paired with the tomato.
I will need to come back to try Grub’s full menu one day!
I went to see the happening Fitzroy area of Melbourne, and bumped into this place.
Grub Fitzroy is a wonderful place for getting good food, made with good ingredients and in a nice and clean way. I felt good after eating here, especially the salad.
Hidden in a quite corner of a quiter lane in Fitzroy, Grub cafe was quite refreshing to our mood with quirky decor and so much color and greens around. A dull winter morning in Melbourne was not dull anymore, thanks to the Vibrant setting. Other than the human voices we could also hear sparrows communicating 😊.
Ordered a Smoked Salmon Bowl, Beef and Lentil Pie and Breakfast Platter to go with their in-house Hot Chocolate with Orange and Spices or Ginger (can't recollect but was divine)
An absolute pleasure of ours and our taste buds to have enjoyed one of the most beautiful meals in Melbourne but everyone's favorite was the Salmon Bowl. Quite refreshing! And then of course the Beef and Lentil Pie and Breakfast Platter were next best thing that happened to us.
Vegans, Vegetarians, and Meat lovers are well taken care by the most genuinely affectionate staff and every dish we ordered was a value for money.
Cute cafe in Fitzroy, started as a food van, now it has its own space. It has a unique, kind of creepy decor with mannequin heads and miniatures. However, the place was definitely instagram-worthy! Ordered their chai latte, which I wished the chai was stronger. Then, for the food, we started off with the sweet potato chips. It was delicious! It was slightly crispy outside, but not too much batter, that I could get the sweet potato texture and flavour. It was well-seasoned, and the sauce definitely was a great compliment. The mushroom medley was tasty, loved the yogurt and the bread, which tasted like garlic bread. For the thick cut bacon & egg, I didn’t really like the breadcrumbs on the egg. However, the bacon sure was thick and satisfying. Loved the fluffy corn bread at the bottom. Overall, it was one of the most satisfying brunch that I’ve had. Everything was tasty and definitely would come back!
Me and my friends went for dinner. It was an awsome experience with nice ambience. I ordered salmon dish and it was really nice but bit of too much soy sauce . May be if you are not a lover of too much soy taste,you can ask them to reduce when you order. The staff were super friendly and nice.
The price is fair and the food and drink was good!
