Review Kewpie - Fitzroy

Da P (D P)
$7 pizzas which tasted average, sweet potato fries which were delicious and a reasonable selection of drinks. The set up is fun and definitely takes me back to Berlin. Funky interior, an airplane as a DJ booth, odd rooms with couches for a chill hangout with mates. I think this is just one of the many cool bars offered in this district and I would return ! The bartender that worked last night at the rooftop was super friendly and quick service. :)

Hey Kewpie team! I'll admit that I made this rating while I was a bit dusty from the night before, so that's probably why I didn't leave details, but I want to add them now, first off, security, they were great! super friendly and made sure we didn't stand out in the cold for too long, next up is your bar staff! goodness gracious, what AMAZING bar staff, one bartender in particular, I have forgotten her name but she was the best! super friendly and made the night heaps of fun, I loved the night, it was super fun, the dance floor was fun and everyone was having a great time, I gave it 4 stars because the floor absolutely ruined my pink shoes but upon reflection, everyone was having a good time so drinks were splashing and dirt was probably moving along with it. In reality that isn't a fault of the venue so i've changed it to 5 because I loved it all. Can't wait to come back!

Updated review since reopening, love this venue heaps. Been coming here for years. Awesome vibe and service and many things on and places to sit. Pizzas are fabulous but drink prices are a bit oof
SANTO STREET
I can almost forgive the drinks and pizzas being an almost scam (price wise), and the music being deafening and boring. But where I draw the line is when the security are just power hungry and abusive. Both times being at the bar I have seen the harassment these tough guys dish out and it’s horrible. Has ruined the night of many people (both deserving and undeserving). I do understand it’s a hard job with many risks but certain staff are honestly a joke they shouldn’t have the authority or the audacity to do/say the things they do/say.

Wasn't a fan of the vegan pizzas. They charge $2.50 extra for it and you get a small sprinkle. Other than that the price of pizza is good
Graham Broadbridge
Very comfortable bar , happy hour pricing excellent, staff 😀 accommodating, friendly and happy in their employment. $5 DOLLAR all day ,excellent value .

They’ve done a good job upon reopening, pizzas aren’t the same but fantastic value. Happy hour is great.
vishnu kashyap
Vegan pizzas for 7 bucks (5 for ones with regular cheese) and Lagavulin, along with a sweet rooftop (no view sorry) and good service makes up for the copious amounts of the Kewpie baby everywhere, especially the spinning metallic one. It's definitely worth a visit in my opinion
Leila
$4 PIZZA!!!!! Such good value for an incredibly affordable price. The service wasn’t the best at the bar, but I don’t particularly mind, had a good meal and left happy after a fun trivia night.
AINA GUIDOLIN
really amazing pizza for an amazing price. the place is super nice and amazing atmosphere
Olive Sundays
Bimbos holds a special place in my heart because it was genuinely the first restaurant I ever went to that blew my mind with a great atmosphere and creativity at its core. My brother introduced me to it over a decade ago. A place where you can sit in an igloo with your friends and eat pizza for $4. Not to mention chocolate pizza before it was a thing and flavoured vodkas sitting in massive bulbs with curly tubes leading to the spout. Pacman and old skool games as tables, records on the wall, high heels on the ceiling and old second-hand couches where you often share a lounge with strangers. Fast forward 15 years and it still exists but has a whole new face. It still has the good vibes and character, I mean, there’s half an aeroplane in the middle of the room.

Went here for a Sunday sesh and $4 pizzas. Was a great time especially given the new queer themed Sunday’s. The waiter was OUTRAGEOUS and I’ve never fallen in love so fast. Nothing better than drag performances all night
Josh
great chilled place to enjoy some tasty cheap pizzas for lunch, highly recommend the potato pizza, awesome booths if you go with a small group
Vivian
I’m so glad they reopened ! The $4 pizza is actually so good, I am always so impressed by the quality of the food here . The vibes here are also great , love catching up with friends and getting a drink here too. My go to pizza here is the potato one
Quince And Cheese
You get what you pay for. Bimbo's $4 pizzas are not the best pies out there, but they're cheap as chips and largely vegan and kinda filling, so you really can't beat it. Be prepared to wait if visiting at busy times or with a group.

It was good place, not too busy, the food came pretty quick and tasted good but our clothes were stick to the chairs that apparently just been cleaned or polish. It leaved stained in my stockings and some of my friends jacket we just thought that area shouldn’t be open if the polish not dry yet.
Jasmine Belle
The one and only. Reborn with the same egdy vibe but cleaner, sleeker decor. The bar looks so good now. Fab staff as before. And the $4 pizzas. Legend.
SJFU
Good staff, excellent atmosphere, great pizza for $4. Simple and not exactly the best in Melbourne but certainly the nicest you’ll get for less than a fiver. Also, Iron Man pinball.
Steph Schneider
This place has a great atmosphere in the day and at night. The service and drinks are always great. The vegetarian pizzas can all be made vegan. It was alright pizza, they just take away the dairy from the pizza to make it vegan. To make it better it would be great to have vegan cheeses and vegan sour cream.
Jos Reynolds
Nice staff, great atmosphere! Must must MUST go for the $4 pizzas, great value for money and good quality! We grabbed the Prosciutto, Silly Salsicia & Patate Caramellate.
IloveMelbourne
Came here as part of the Vegan Day Out. Had the Funghi vegan pizza. It was nice and filling but not worth more then the $4 we paid. Good for a cheap fix.
Toby Chen
Pretty nice vegan pizzas for the price and I can see how many people would like coming here, but the atmosphere just didn't really suit my tastes. Music a bit too loud and wasn't all that great, but a pretty comfortable seating area. Recommend for some quick cheap food.
Chance
Pizzas are incredibly delicious, though the crust can be a tad tough and dry depending on the toppings you're going for. But for the price, nothing else can beat this.<br/>Enjoyed the retro vibe interior. Service was pleasant and fast.
Edithmarina.rock
Hands down the best $4 pizza money can buy! I was literally expecting such a poor/flavourless meal for that amount but NO THEIR PIZZAS ARE SO FLAVOURFUL! Both the hummus & the mushroom one had a delicious dukah on top with a perfectly crispy base! Didn’t even miss the cheese at all #allvegan That said I came back here another afternoon & had the most amazing Mediterranean pizza with garlic oil & soy feta cheese! Highly rate it!
Monica Iva
I was a bit disappointed with Bimbo, i frequent Lucky Coq quite a bit and think the size and toppings were much more generous than at Bimbo. I mean though for the price you cant get too annoyed about it, but would order more next time, as we stopped down the road afterwards to eat again.
Juhi- Culture And Cuisine
I LOVED Bimbo Deluxe! Everything about it! <br/><br/>The place is super Melbourne and has a very innovative decor. I paid less than $20 for a couple of drinks and nachos to die for. If that isn't the most perfect thing, I don't know what is! Wish I took some photos :(
Good Food Good Mood
Everyone has undoubtedly enjoyed a happy hour $4 pizza at Bimbo's. The rock bottom prices excite me to no end because it basically means I can order six for what you'd normally pay elsewhere for one and enjoyed a wide variety. Sure the quality isn't as good as it would be when you are paying five times the price but it will do friends it will do. They actually have a very interesting range, top picks from me are the lamb with sultanas, Cajun chicken with mango chutney, Garlic prawn and the smoked salmon mascarpone. Make sure you try a dessert pizza too and the special if you are game. <br/>Cocktail jugs made this an overall cheap night but I actually quite like the atmosphere despite the plethora of young'ins. The ground floor has a bit more of a grungy vibe but there's a nice ambiance upstairs with the pretty lantern style lighting. A Brunswick institution
Massivebird
$4 pizzas that are good enough. Friendly staff. Good vibes. <br/><br/>That's about all I have to say about it .........................................
KnowingMelbourne
I'm with Iris on this one (👇🏻) this place is a Melbourne gem. The $4 pizzas are hard to pass up, and with a nice cold beer with friends it's a perfect night. Great atmosphere too. I have always rated this place and still do.
Juliette Rose
Always a great time at bimbos, well that's when the staff (aka only the manager) isn't being an a**hole :) <br/>but highly recommend the drink 'flying bimbos' and the chips and potato gems 👌🏻👌🏻
PlasterPillow
Great happy hour pizzas (for only $4 that's a steal). The pizza itself was good, the dessert pizza we later ordered was very nice. Came here on a weekend with a friend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooftop bar has a nice atmosphere to it as well.
Michelle Hanslow
Great cheap tasty pizzas ($4 if you go at the right times!!) but beware - if you're there on a Sat night it starts getting busy early and we queued for drinks for 35 minutes!!!<br/>So in summary, it's great, but just needs more bar staff for all the cocktails on offer.
Iris Myandowski
<br/>I had a walk down memory lane and various other cliches. To a long ago time when a $4 pizza with beer was a glamorous gourmet meal. Expectations were low, emotions were very high, but Bimbos is unchanged since 2006 right down to the Beyonce on the sound system and undeniably good pizza. If I was to ever make a declaration of "a Melbourne institution" it would be here
H
Always very friendly service. Love the extensive vegan menu, my fave pizzas are the aglio Ollio (very generous with actual caramelised garlic), funghi, and potato. The bases and crust are lovely and crispy and the amount of topping is spot on.<br/>The price can't be beat either!
Sol_n_chai
I came here with a group of friends on Monday night. Nice service, friendly staff. But the pizza was very average...definitely worth only $4. It was a shame because we'd all thought we'd had better a few years ago - having not visited for a fair while. Toppings were *very* limited. Music in background was good. I don't know if I'll be back... :/
George David Michaelides
Great cheap pizzas here!! Came here on Saturday for a birthday and also enjoyed the passionfruit cocktail jugs at the bar a great place with a good vibe
Simmyeats.Melb
Every now and then I need a good Bimbos session, whether it be on the awesome roof top bar kicking back or breaking some dance moves on the dance floor. This is a quirky bar and if you don't feel like dancing there are some comfy arm chairs to sit in if you wish.  The crowd is a mix which is good and there are different age groups too.  I have eaten the pizza here which to me isn't the best of quality but for the price it is it definitely hits the spot (especially after a few bevies!). Great choice of beers on tap too.
Caitlin M
$10 for a pizza and a pint was a great deal. Pizza was tasty and I especially appreciated the range of vegetarian options. Rooftop was great on a sunny winter afternoon
Love At First Bite
Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus<br/><br/>Bimbos is a great bar that also does a range of simple pizzas and bar snacks in Fitzroy! We came here on a weekday and managed to try their $4 for a pizza deal, which was definitely worth the value! We ordered the lamb and rocket pizza, would

The atmosphere is definitely on the quirky side with respect to the decor and furnishings. Tried the verdure pizza which was one of the vegan options. For only $4, I thought it was pretty delicious especially since I was already in hungry mode. I wouldn't say the rest of the pizzas fared the same review though, for example my friend's prosciutto pizza barely any prosciutto. Overall a chill place to hang out with friends and have cheap pizzas. The music was a little too loud imo.
Kim
Really liked my vegan mushroom pizza and fried cauliflower, would definitely return, however would like to see some vegan chipotle Mayo and ranch etc. <br/>One girl told me it was vegan so I ordered it and was charged an extra dollar even though the menu said sauce was included, then they never gave me the chipotle Mayo I ordered so I asked for it and then they said it's not vegan. Slightly annoying.
Facebook User
Been here on multiple occasions and have loved it every time! I've tried most vegan pizzas, my favourite being the Aglio Olio, Margherita and the Organico. This place has such a good vibe and the music is always good. Would recommend coming here for pizzas and a cocktail jug. Can easily spend all night here.
Tomlovestoeat
Happy hour cheap ass pizza, yes sir!! Drinks are a touch pricey though. Bit of a go to when in Fitzroy. I love the upstairs rooftop, it's great when the suns out.
Comfy Chairs
This is the place to go if you want good, cheap pizza and a bit of fun. If you want to avoid crowds on a Saturday night go early because the pizza happy hours attract a lot of interest. Fun vibe and fun times.
Ashy Sheppard
Bimbo's is always the place to go if in doubt. <br/>Great happy hour pizzas, decent drinks, plenty of alternative cool space to chill out. <br/>Nothing more to say.
Emma Rose Butler
We came during the middle of the day and spent 10 minutes just trying to find a staff member to point out the bathroom. When we finally found a waitress, she wouldn't even stop to talk to us 🤷🏻‍♀️ food did look great but we weren't keen on waiting around for a half hour to order something 💁
Joshua Moore
Amazing selection of pizzas and great vibe. Vegan friendly choices means a lot to me. Love dropping in here by myself and with friends. Just wish they had more pinball machines
Charis The Vegetarian
I love this place. Trendy spot selling cheap, delicious and original pizzas. You can't argue with a $4 pizza. Rooftop terrace is great in summer. Keep doing what you're doing Bimbo. See you soon.
Kim Truong
Cannot go past the $4 pizza specials and a jug of cider to cap off a long day at work. Seating upstairs is quite limited so settled to dine downstairs.<br/><br/>I will say though my prosciutto pizza was definitely lacking if not almost completely absent of prosciutto which was slightly disappointing. However for the price point its hard to not give this place a go.<br/><br/>A relaxed setting to have a drink and has nooks and crannies around the joint worth having a look at ie the random room with a bed upstairs, the rooftop, pool table area.
Sarah Evans
Don't know if it was because I was hungover but the pizza was so so good! and so cheap! Loved it. It is too loud though for an enjoyable meal and the wait staff are kind of rude
Hailey
Good cheap pizza. Staff very laid back. Pretty dark and dingy club feel for a lunch so get a table near the windows if you can. Quick service.
Mo
Bimbos is fun. They have $4 pizzas at certain times, which is a great deal. There's lots and lots of seating, and there is also a rooftop (which is the hardest part to get a seat as it's so popular). Great in warmer weather. easily accessed on public transport.
Gee
$4 pizza happy hour - what could possibly be bad about that?! Haven't been here for a million years, and yes, they still have the Caesar pizza! Good to reacquaint with old Bimbo!
Zosia Van Dartel
Best pizzas. Made fresh to order and so many choices. Never got a bad pizza. Great vibe with great music too. Service is great and super friendly, chilled out staff
Melbourne Explorer
Great cheap pizzas and cool courtyard for drinks. The old run down building adds to the charm of this place. A must visit on a warm summers evening.<br/><br/>Find me on Instagram @Melbourne_Explorer or at MelbourneExplorer.com

Really good pizza and not just for the price. And, I'm willing to bet I'd still think the pizza was good if I wasn't drunk ;) the staff are hot too and the place has a great atmosphere
Dianne
Warm, comforting and delicious experience on a chilly winter's night.<br/>One pizza is sufficient, but my friends and I ordered 2 each, as there were too many toppings to choose from.<br/>Best of all was customer service to top it all off.
MelbfoodCritic
I love the great hippy ambiance in the place. Can't go wrong with happy hour $4 pizzas. Roof top & the cave is my favorite. Drinks are a bit expensive. Overall still loving the place for casual night out! This place use to be super busy until Naked for Satan open down the road. Still love it brings back my memories. Lemonade with lychee vodka together with mint is my favorite!
Constanza Wilhelmy
we had to wait 40 minutes for our pizzas, but when theyre only $4 you cant really complain. the pepperoni one was way too spicy for my taste. salmone was fantastic, and although it could use a bit more salmon, i was quite pleased with the choice. zucchini is a great vegetarian option, with zucchini "ribbons" instead of slices - much nicer texture. the dough is just OK. value for the money, but if its you're after truly delicious pizza that wont make you broke, zanini's the place.
Emii KS
Pizza & snags. Yum. Love this place purely coz the kitchen is still open when bar is rocking and its late. Few drinks, a feed and rocking tunes? Bimbo Deluxe 🙌🏽
Food In My Tummy
Love how the rinse the glass with this cool water pressure thingy. Makes the glass cold and a more enjoyable beer. Crowd gets a bit strange after about 10pm but the customers are still friendly enough.
Tessa Peach
Another fantastic bar and pizza joint, sister establishment of Lucky Coq in Prahran area. Went on a Saturday night with my boyfriend - heaps of comfy seating in a moodily lit setting, there was even a light plane as part of the decor that we could sit under! I had a nepolitana pizza ($4 special!!) and they made it for me without capers. Toppings were perhaps a bit sparse but delicious nonetheless. I tried one of the infused vodkas here - pomegranate flavour and it was delicious, very tart, and I was able to drink it straight and able to enjoy this way. It got pretty busy as we left (around 8:30), and upstairs area seemed to be a popular party spot in the area. However, staff were a bit standoffish here, not telling us that the hot pies were off the menu until we tried to order them. Otherwise a great great place with a fun atmosphere, will 100% come back when in the area
Joacorka
Love this place! Cheap pizzas and nice range of drinks. Great variety of flavoured vodkas (bubblegum one is a banger!). Good place to start your weekend evening, or just to pop by when you are in the neighborhood!
Out And About
Well they promote $4 pizzas it's hard to not stop in and try it! We enjoyed their Il Greco (halloumi cheese), their Verdure (antipasto eggplant, sundried tomatoes and olives with no cheese) the margarita and the Fungi (mushroom).<br/>The decor is quirky but somehow fascinating and the meals great!
Tia
the nature of Bimbo Deluxe is very laid back, so feel free to seat yourself when you arrive. menus are scattered around the bar, which is also where you must order your food. if you're desiring to be waited on, this is not the place for you.<br/><br/>the calabrese pizza and pizza with roquette and prosciutto are absolute must-haves, as is their alcoholic iced tea. highly recommend going after 7pm if you're short on money as all the pizzas then cost $4.
Nona Coco
An always easy option for a cheap feed with speedy service and hipster love.<br/>A local favourite. <br/>Steer clear of the the flat iron and hot dogs be there for the pizzas only.
Rebeca
From the salmon pizza to the cubical telling you to take LSD you can't go wrong on a Sunday with $4 pizzas. Great vibe and super friendly service!
Bianca Roberts
Amazing party vibe here, perfect for relaxed drinks with mates or vibrant fun on the dancefloor. Everything is well priced and the entertainment is solid.
Melbourne Food Social
Bimbos can be relied upon for cheap pizzas or a late night drink. Up stairs outdoor rooftop set up is pretty cool. Downstairs can be a bit full on, on late nights when the music is pumping
Ana Armillas Carbonel
I went there with my boyfriend, the good point is that the place has cheap pizzas and the ambience of the the bar is nice and different. We ordered a pumpkin pizza, that wasn't bad. <br/>But I totally dont recommend the dessert pizzas. The size is small and basically the topic doesn't cover the small pizza, there is only a little bit on the middle and it's supposed to come with mascarpone, but there wasn't any. We asked the waitress and what they answered is that is what they offer. <br/>I will attach the picture of it so before one wants to order at least you can see what you're paying for and what you are gonna receive.
MSY123
Awesome hang out place, $4 pizzas and a rooftop bar.<br/>Love the little dolls and macabre scenery laced around the furnishings. There's even a plane!!<br/>The seating's perfect for groups and has that share homely feel about it.<br/>Beer and cocktail jugs are fairly priced and did I mention the $4 pizzas?! They even have dessert pizzas if you're game enough.
James Yelwar
You want a relaxed unpretentious place to spend time with friends dont you? You want nice service and great pizza thats insanely priced dont you? Bimbos is the essence of Brunswick St; The surroundings are comfy and welcoming with a truly Fitzroy vibe and the food is fantastic! Pizzas are between $4 and $8.90 depending on the time of week and the also serve a range of drinks more varied than Melbourne's weather. Would recommend!
Wonderfull
10+ years on and Bimbo's still hasn't changed their prices. It's still $4 for a pizza, but at more reasonable times of day now. Their olives are still amongst my favourites of all time. They've added more pizzas to the menu over the years, with an expanded list of vegetarian options (so many of them!). I believe the soy cheese pizza may actually be vegan these days too? It's not as good as I remember it though, I preferred the old cheese. The best time to come here is early evening on a week day, it will be easy to get a table in the upstairs courtyard, the perfect place for hippy-watching (is that a thing?). Guaranteed to still be playing fat freddy's drop... its like a trip down memory lane. My third favourite thing after the pizza and olives is that they pour beers into schooners - the perfect sized vessel.
Julian B Ho
OMG I'm a big sucker for anything that has 'value for money' and 'yummy' all in the same sentence and Bimbo Deluxe delivers just exactly that. Don't let the price especially their pizzas fool you - they don't skimp on the ingredients. On top of that, their menu offering reflects the eclectic and quirkiness of the Fitzroy neighborhood. Their setting is extremely casual which falls into my favourite category of 'no fuss dining'.
Ashleigh Dougherty
I tried their pizza and was really impressed on the affordability and tastiness of it. I don't know if it's worth the wait though and getting a drink is a nightmare.
Melbourne Foodie Lover
It's a strange and quirky little place, great to go at night and enjoy a few drinks and a pizza, fun atmosphere will have to go back at somepoint
Amy
Rude bar staff- slamming pizzas on tables and not even apologizing for forgetting to give me $20 from my change back. Acting like it was almost on purpose. Food was average. Not worth that wait to be honest. If you have lots of free time to sit in a smelly place that needs a good scrub and wait for your $4 mediocre pizza for an hour then sure it's a great place.
TarnishedPath
The salmone was zert good. The beers were $17 for two schooners, hardly a deal on the beer. The puttanesca was average. Na..................
Ben
Great place. $4 pizzas plus $1.50 to add meat to one of the veggie pizzas to make some of the best pizza money can buy. Would eat there every night if I didn't care about being a fat fat fatty
Cat
This place feels so homey, i like $4 pizzas! with vegan cheese available.<br/><br/>.. Edited since last two visits*<br/>The atmosphere has completely changed. It feels like the south side these days.. <br/>Over dressed gals and over exaggerated meat heads calling taxi every time a glass clinks.. Noooo! D,:
Bam!
Very cheap pizza at $4. By the time you buy a few rounds it really isn't that cheap. But the pizzas are only four bucks and they're OK but as you would expect they're tiny.
This Diner Is Anonymous
Sure they're only $4 and far be it from me to complain (there's a time and a place for everything), but these pizzas are not great. Stodgy, overseasoned and with poor quality toppings, this place seems like a good idea but in reality the $2.50 slices you can get near the corner of Johnston and Brunswick are actually a damn sight better. An understandable favourite amongst the student crowd, not so much the foodie crowd.
Hilary Coward
Perfect place to have a few drinks with friends before heading out or just to stay at for a relaxed night. The pizzas are small but a good snack while having some drinks! Very good atmosphere
Little Foodie
Great place, the rooftop is great, if you don't like cigarette you might be annoyed, the pizza was great, maybe 20 minutes wait which is alright, if you go Monday to Friday between 12AM and 4PM all the pizzas are $4 which is quite good instead of $10 or $12 :) go if you like pizza and pub atmosphere
Giorgia Victoria Katsidonis
LOVED bimbos until tonight :( ordered a gluten free pizza and was given one that wasn't (the waitor left before i got the chance to ask, so i assumed he knew what he was doing). later my actual pizza came out. i gave the non-gluten free pizza back and wasn't very happy. the least i expected was at least an apology but no one said anything at all.<br/>i'm not sat at home feeling far less than okay and i'm really disappointed. <br/>don't get me wrong, the food is great (and the drinks better), but it really bugs me that they pride themselves on serving gluten free pizzas and yet i'm sat here as i am.<br/>just be careful if you do have any sort of sensitivity -double check you've gotten the right pizza.
Beau James
Really good for those nights when you want to chill out, eat cheap pizzas and have a few too many beers.<br/><br/>Not much else to say apart from the calabrese salami is the best pizza.
Melbourne Glutton
There is nothing like cheap food to get me all excited! Bimbo is notorious for its ridiculously insane prices such as pizzas for less than $10 each, including dessert pizzas for $6, and $4 hot dogs loaded with toppings during happy hours. Happy hours here is a pretty liberal concept and run from 12-4pm on weekdays, and then 7-11pm from Mon - Thurs or 7-9pm from Fri - Sat, and all day on Sundays.
Daniel Chew
I love Fitzroy for it's awesome restaurants and quirky bars. Bimbos is defintely one of them. $4 pizzas during set hours are extremely good value. That and a couple of bevies and your set! <br/><br/>Defintely try the Salmone, calabrese and the il gamberetto pizzas. Yummo! Next to try is their $4 hot dogs and infused vodkas (Kettle One) <br/><br/>Overall great value and funky atmosphere. Though havent been on a friday or saturday night. Bar guys were great. Will defintely be back!
Reneeee
Cheap and nice. Worth going for cheap eat and a cup of beer after work. Six dollar pizza comes from all range of options with a lot to expect.
LindaMelb
Personally I prefer Lucky Coq....just because it's a little easier to find a seat, plus parking in the area is not great. It's still an awesome bar and the pizzas are small but very cheap.
DrinkAndFeast
This place is soooo good. Pizzas are awesome and very cheap as well. I have a soft spot for the salmon though. Even the dessert pizzas are delish. Despite the price tag, it's actually still quality pizza and far better than dominos. <br/>Everyone knows, Bimbos is an institution. You have fond memories of it because they were cheap and affordable when you were at uni. Each time I come back, it's much more than the $4 pizzas. It's also the feelings of good value, good food, good vibes and good times. <br/>
Marika M
Amazing cheap pizzas!!! Thin crispy crust! Yumo! Funky deco. Great place to grab a bite to eat with friends before heading out down Brunswick street
Joel Gill
While my initial thoughts of this place were kind of mixed, their pizzas are really good. The music's loud, but sitting outdoors during summer is great.
Miichan
Anywhere that you can get a pizza with tallegio on it for four dollars is a great place to be. Drinks can be expensive but I think the cheap food makes up for it.
Rose Chor
- Cheap pizzas<br/>- No one really a serves you -- I had to go looking for someone to take my order<br/>- Venue seemed dirty and shabby in my opinion.
Blondeaimz
Food okay. Staff rude. The offer during the day is really good and the pizzas themselves are nice for the price however the staff must really dislike their jobs because they were unfriendly and generally rude.<br/>I will not be returning.
Lissa
Worst staff ever.
Sparksfly510
Pretty Good!. I'll admit I'm not so fond of the decor and it looks like it needs a good clean, but the pizza is FANTASTIC!! Especially for $4!! I have been there several times now and am happy to keep going back!! I also must recommend the Caesar salad pizza; it is the best pizza I have ever had in my life!!
Beth
My pizza smelt, but more importantly, tasted like dog food. Do not eat here.
Fun Date Ideas
Bimbo’s is so unique that it feels more like a James Bond villain’s lair than a bar.  DJ’s drop beats from an actual airplane cockpit, infused vodka is dispensed from swirling glassware that looks to have been swiped straight from Walter White’s chemistry class and a rooftop with a Middle Eastern inspired decor that would make Aladdin drool.  However out of all of these seemingly fictitious elements the one thing about Bimbo’s that seems the most unbelievable is the
The Travel Journo
Although not technically a café, bimbos is getting a review off me as it is such a travellers paradise. $4 pizzas!! Not just some terrible pizza either but a range of delicious pizzas that are made in traditional Italian style, a thin base and extremely tasty toppings that burst with flavour. From my personal favourite the pumpkin and pine nuts to the delicious Verdure, Bimbos has all bases covered in the flavour compartment. To add to this, they also make a great cup of coffee! Totally unexpectedly, you can get a great cup of java in this most bohemian of places. It’s no, Feast of Merit, but it’s a good drop. I have to be honest and say that Bimbos also holds a special place in my heart as it’s where I met the girl of my dreams…so yeah… J It is also a bar and drinks are readily available. Many boutique beers a re ready for your taste buds and if you’re feeling adventurous you can try one of their infused vodkas! For a limited time Bimbos has also teamed up with the new Aston Club app.
Madeline Snow
The pizzas are often cheap and always amazing, with plenty of options for vegetarians like myself. However, eating said pizzas has proven difficult whilst being stuck in a couch, and at times I have ended up with a lap full of mushrooms (a warning for those lazy pizza eaters). I assume there is other food available, however when $4 pizzas are on the menu, who really gives a fuck about the salad.
The World Loves Melbourne
Cheap but quality pizza and excellent music. A killer combination. Throw in some ambience and you are set. For students and hipsters its a great pizzeria come club. I compare it somewhat to Lucky Coq in South Yarra. We know about cheap pizza in the CBD - I can source it for $4 in some locations but it doesn't please. Bimbo's has a good reputation over the last 10 years as a Fitzroy icon with decent pizza.
Peet
Certainly one of my favourite cheap eats places in Melbourne, Bimbo's is well worth stopping by if you are lucky enough to be living in, or visiting this wonderful city!
Nikki M
For the price of such simple but tasty pizzas savored at such an interesting place, it’d be hard to go wrong at Bimbo Deluxe.
Kim Leow
It's not exactly a Pizza place, it's really just a bar which serves awesome Pizza.
Eddie
Hit up Bimbo Deluxe for a great value pizza, have a few drinks then dance the night away. It's one of those venues that could have a line out the front but if you look past that, it's an unpretentious and laid back vibe.

Mine was good too, except the pizza base was really hard to cut and there wasn't as much vegetables as I'd like. But for $2 who can complain. I would have loved some rocket on this.<br/>I would have liked to have dessert but seeing as it was so late in the day and I had other things on, I just didn't have time for it.

During certain hours, Bimbo’s presents you with an offer difficult to resist. Any pizza on their menu for a mere $4! The great thing about the $4 special is that it isn’t during insane or impractical hours. They appear during regular lunch and dinner hours, wonderfully enough.
Sweet And Sour Fork
After a 15 minute wait, our pizzas arrived piping hot from the oven. First impressions were fantastic – the ingredients looked fresh and varied, and the pizza base was reassuringly irregular. This Salsiccia Festa (sausage, caramelised red onion, red peppers, rosemary, oregano, tomato and mozzarella) tasted as good as it looked. The scattering of ingredients meant that each bite tasted different, and although the topping was minimal, it was a celebration of quality over quantity, and never felt mean.

Bimbo Deluxe is an odd place. From the large bulbous glass bottles of infused vodka above the bar, to the strange little bell-shaped room with the funny accoustics up the back, it's got a mix of character and enterprise that never really gelled for me. Th

The best thing about Bimbo’s is their cheap pizza. At nominated times, you can expect to pay $4 for them.

We saw a mouse run past us while we were sitting on the couches. Disgusting.
Matty Hendeson
Good pizza. Lunchtime pizza always hits the spot here. The zucchini is delicious with a flavoured vodka.
Jo Wheaton
Prosciutto Con Formaggio. So darn good. Saltiness of prosciutto and bitterness of rocket. Nom, nom, nom!
Kazzamatthews85
What a lovely lunch.. I went into Bimbos for lunch on Monday and was so surprised by the wonderful service provided by the the two girls working (a blonde and a brunette). They were bubbly, helpful and even got our cutlery for us when we forgot and was offered chilli oil too! When we ordered our drinks they knew a lot about the products and let us try a few beers before we made our final decision which was their yummy kolsch! The pizza's were cheap and delicious. Will go back for sure!

Casual Saturday Afternoon. Prosciutto pizza and a beer and you are set on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
Jye_s_kur
Security have no idea.. Despite having been told by staff that I can take in alcohol for a friends 21st, as long as it remained unopened, security outright refused me entry, and refused to even listen to my explanation. Certainly won't be going back ever again, and would not recommend it to others.

???. No pints? Terrible.

My date kindly asked a waiter which type of pizza was which, reply we got was "that's the pizza and that's the plate", wish he didn't walk straight away before I asked his name. Never coming back.
Croissant Lady 91
Not coming back. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with no expectations on having spectacular pizzas given that it was a pub after all. It was relatively quiet but the service was swift and so casual and friendly that the waitress didn’t bother cleaning the tables. We ordered six pizzas and some of them came with cheese (yay) and some without (nay). Each pizza was around the $10 mark but they have a $4 special at certain times.<br/><br/>For $10, there wasn’t much substance in it with the dough to toppings ratio highly imbalanced. <br/><br/>We had:<br/><br/>1) Salmon with basil and mascarpone (6.5/10 – best of the lot)<br/>2) French fries with raw onions and tomatoes on avocado smear (2/10 – weirdest of the lot. I thought it was a bowl of fries with guacamole but it was actually a pizza)<br/>3) Prosciutto (6/10 – very thinly sliced and scarce portions of prosciutto that was nicely crisped and had cheese!)<br/>4) Spicy paprika, tomatoes, chorizo (5/10 – very spicy indeed! Can’t say much about the chorizo)<br/>5) Spicy pork and fennel sausage with chilli oil (4/10 – not memorable and not spicy)<br/>6) Seafood mix (5/10 – tiny seafood pieces, nice herby base but lacked cheese and substance)<br/><br/>It was a one-off experience for me. Bimbo’s isn’t a pizzeria. The pizzas are there being mainly to soak up booze and not made to impress.

Fun & Young. Seeing complaints from below and just wondering how on earth people expect world-class customer service and a beautiful dining setting from a place that sells $4 pizzas and is called BIMBOS!! <br/>This place is effectively a bar/club that happens to open earlier for snacks. Yes it's dark & dingy - but I sat at a table that doubled as a space invaders game machine, which made my night! I was expecting plain old margarita or hawaiin for $4, but there are some insane toppings that are really gourmet (chilli pork, fennel sausage, Belgian chocolate!!) The base is thin and even if you get cheese, it's not very cheesy. Customer service is appalling and even though I'm usually a stickler for it, I let it slide when at Bimbos.
Sweet Pea
I just don't understand why the kitchen doesn't open till 6pm.. What's the point should be able to eat before that,I'm not expecting them to be open at 3am .. But really? Your open anyway to serve drinks .. Be a bit more responsible or don't open till 6pm at all
Stephanie T
Cheap and cheerful. Bimbo's is good for a cheap night out. Pizza's are cheap and cheerful and although the downstairs is dark and a bit gross, the rooftop is lovely, especially at night with all the lanterns glowing.
Iceman
A trip to BD isn't for everyone, it's dark, and cosy-ish and the staff are a little officious, but for $4 a pizza it's well worthy of consideration with a reasonable wine list to boot. My only advice would be to CUT THE PIZZAS before you deliver them to the tables. I can't see any reason why this should be the responsibility of the patrons.<br/><br/>7-6-15<br/><br/>My second visit to BB and it's equally as dimly lit as my initial visit, but as previously mentioned the $4 all day pizzas make it hard to beat :)
J
There's not much to like about $4 pizzas in inner city Melbourne! Happy hour during the week and all day on Sundays. To be honest, the pizzas aren't really that yumtastic but more like the entree sized pizzas you get before a yummy main meal. The base is thin but soggy from toppings weight. Service is super quick and friendly enough. The atmosphere is uni reminiscent complete with pool table and darkness.
Ru Bert
SOY CHEESE NOT VEGAN. What is the point of having a soy cheese option when its not even vegan? There is a huge variety vegan cheeses available to use. Vegusto has a specially melty one which would be perfect on your pizza's. Charge $1 extra if you need to, vegans don't mind. Currently it just seems sneaky. Not impressed.
Rubee Dano
Disgusting. Cool-looking venue but once you get inside it smells of dust and is horribly dingy. The interior was gross. Service was poor and the bartender forgot our change.
Gemma Paine
Great first impressions. This place is so cool. Loved the atmosphere, waitstaff were friendly, can't go wrong with $4 pizza. Will definitely be going back. Only down side is the security guards out the front are a bit rude.
Harry Jackson
Went here with a couple of friends on a Friday night, The bar staff very rude and delivered poor service. The pizzas were great when they finally came after the 45 minute wait, can't expect much for a 4 dollar pizza though I guess.
Andrew Cathcart
Mmmmmm.... Delicious pizza at budget prices during happy hours. Add in attractive upstairs beer garden in glorious light pollution and you are winning grins. Come, do it: it will please the senses
NomNomNom
Ate here on Sunday afternoon. Spurr of the moment decision. Glad we did pizzas were delicious. Bit of a wait for them, no idea why as the place wasn't that busy!! Caesar pizza fantastic. Drinks overpriced but $4 pizzas a novelty.
Hollyisabella
Ugh, $4 pizzas or not - customer service is appalling. So rude and arrogant. Wouldn't even bother returning.
Chauy
$4 pizzas are just delicious and insanely irresistible. Hard to get a seat at times.

The waitress swore at me.. I have never been so rudely treated by staff at a restaurant. It was a Sunday evening and I'd just knocked off work and met some friends there for $4 pizzas. <br/><br/>I went up to the bar to order, where the female bartender was chatting to a young man over the bar. There was already another customer waiting when I arrived, and at first I thought the bartender was serving the man.<br/><br/>5 MINUTES LATER we were still standing there and I was trying to catch her eye (I was standing a metre away) and she purposefully kept looking straight ahead at the young man and chatting with him (they obviously knew each other because they were having a personal conversation about their friends).<br/><br/>I asked the customer who was also waiting if she'd been there long and she said she got there five minutes before me. <br/><br/>I then tapped the man on the shoulder and asked him if he was being served or if he was just a cute customer who took priority over us. The waitress' reaction here was awful. <br/><br/>She turned to me and said 'It's a fu**ing Sunday.'<br/><br/>I was shocked. I said something like 'Yeah, and you're getting paid to serve us right now' to which she scowled at me and got another waitress to come and serve me. I was in shock and she said 'Don't you dare shake your head at me!' before returning to her conversation with the man. <br/><br/>The other waitress was somewhat apologetic and I asked to see their manager. She hesitated but said she'd send them over to my table. Despite bringing me my pizza she never said anything about the fact no manager came to speak with me.<br/><br/>I was abused by the staff and management didn't even have the decency to come and follow it up with me. <br/><br/>This occurred a couple of weeks ago, but the waitress responsible sounded America/Canadian, had long dark hair and was wearing heavy eyeliner. She doesn't deserve to work there and the management really need to lift their game if this is how they deal with customer complaints. <br/><br/>It's a shame because it's an amazing venue with cheap food, but I'll never be going back.
El Paco Polaco
Fkgn idiots working in this place... They've got an old Cesna airplane as a deco... but no sign around it whether or not you can enter it... but then kicking out sober chicks for entering the cockpit for a shot... RIDICULOUS!!!!
Alycia Osborne
I come for the $4.00 pizza can't go wrong :)
Sebastien Lepoittevin
Awesome Place.... Great pizzas, $4 for a full thin crust pizza. Awesome beer selection. And they've got a real size plane in the venue as a DJ booth...We'll be back for some more..! Love the place...
Bambi_20266
Disappointing. Decent fast food, awesome fit out, horrible horrible horrible staff. I would rather pay a few more dollars and go somewhere where you aren't treated like crap.
Liz
The hidden gem of Brunswick. This place is outstanding. The decor is very pleasing to the eye and gives it a good atmosphere. $4 pizzas? Can't go wrong and heaps to choose from. The infused vodkas are my fav but on a hot day their tap beer selection quenches the thirst. A must visit spot!
Kristie
Yum.. Awesome venue and awesome pizza!
Strathcona
Careful with Gluten-Free. Have been here a number of times with friends for $4 pizza which is always good for the price. Drinks are expensive as people say. Staff i notice are generally rude but I put up with it for the cheap food. The place is grungy and dirty looking which may or may not be your thing.<br/><br/>Went there this week with my girlfriend who is celiac and she ordered a gluten-free pizza (or so we thought). When it came she questioned if the base was gluten-free so I tasted it and thought it looked and tasted a bit different from mine so we thought she was ok. Next day: Nope. It was definitely not gluten-free. Poor girl. If you are celiac then I wouldn't trust this place. Definitely confirm with staff that it is gluten-free before eating. I doubt she will be able to trust them and go back after that.
Vicki White
$4 pizzas.... nothing to complain about at that price! :)
Sandy Jeffries
You can't really fault bimbo's food when it costs $4!!! I have had much much worse pizzas for 3 times the price. My husband likes their Mexican hotdog and thinks it better than Phatbrats at twice the price. We usually go for lunch and have never waited more than 15 mins for food to come out. Staff during the days are very friendly.
The Oracle
Pizza ok on $4 time. The 4 dollar pizzas are ok, but they make up for it in high prices for beers and infused vodkas. Other times pizzas more expensive, but the seating and the atmosphere ok, room to move.<br/>Staff reckon they are the bees knees<br/>Prob does not matter, place will always be successful, just a nice , dark, groovy place, comfy for a sit down drink and meal, quick etc, just do not expect polite service
Nikki
Love this place but dont love a 50 min wait for pizza without a warning?
Moyl76
Cheap Piizza. Great beer on tap and VERY cheap pizzas. A must try on Brunswick St.
Mar
Disgusting service. there was an absolute ass behind the counter who refused to serve me and my friend until we displayed ID with proof of age. we tried to explain that we were only there to order pizza, but he kept insisting we weren't allowed to be on the premises unless we were above 18. utterly illogical. also, i've been here a few times before without having to do this. i'm pretty sure i even saw CHILDREN in there last time. either way, his obnoxious and cocky attitude sucked. not a single apology was given.
Franklylame
Rude staff awful pizza. If you are in the mood to be yelled at by unfriendly pretentious staff Bimbos is the place to be. I attended a friend's 21st who had reserved a section off and ordered 15 pizzas to come out stacked over the night, for some reason they thought it would be ingenious to send all 15 out at the start of her reservation WHILE ONLY 2 PEOPLE WERE THERE. When my friend (who was the birthday girl) asked them to be returned as nobody had arrived yet and they would be cold, the waitress simply banged down the pizzas in her hands and said 'well they are ready now so....' and left.<br/>Over the course of the night as we were ordering drinks at the bar none of the staff seemed to keen to serve any one and when asked any questions they would reply in a very negative manner. Will not be returning.
Mario Karts
Terrible. I can see why they have the $4 pizza specials... This place is nothing great. Horrible food and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Emily
Bimbos is a gem. We love going here for $4 pizzas. The service is quick and friendly; pretty good for a bar! The beer they brew themselves is absolutely awesome. A pint of that and a yummy pizza goes down an absolute treat! Get in early to get a table up on the roof, for sure.
Manifesto
Very average pizza but what do you want for under a fiver?. Pizza's are not that great but at only four bucks, who cares - they do the job and its more the atmosphere you come here for right? nice place to relax with friends and fill up on drinks and good cheer.
Nicholas
Pizza and drinks. If you're lucky enough to get here on a $4 pizza day, good for you! If not, don't stress, the pizzas are still good enough to justify paying full price (they also do gluten-free!). Although I wouldn't recommend this place to go out specifically for dinner, this is the perfect place for friends to catch up for a few drinks with some food in between.
Zane
DO NOT COME HEAR! Staff are the rudest people I have ever met- had to restrain my self from killing a hate the world gay man behind the counter who found it hard and strenuous to take a smiply order and minus a ingredient, eyes where rolling-didnt have any manners<br/><br/>I will never come hear again - and id tou scroll down you will find that all thw complaints are about the staff<br/><br/>Stuff if the food is good -staff ruined tye taste for me.
Samstyles88
To grungy for my taste. Every time I walk in all I can smell is a weird mix of olive brine and urine. Cheap pizza's are good but not great
Batsu
Cheap pizza. Pizza's are good value when you can get them for $4. I actively avoid this place any time after dark as I don't want to go the trouble of waxing my chest and wearing a V - neck t - shirt.
Matt Eats
Awesome. You won't get a better meal for $4. The menu is great and the pizzas are good. Especially for the price.
Dave
The big draw card here are the $4 pizzas. They aren't amazing, but not bad either. A good variety of toppings, good beers on tap, ok service and a casual atmosphere always make it worth a visit. Right in the heart of Brunswick Street. You won't find better value for your $4.
Amy Oldfield
Seriously?. I can't believe this place is supposed to be one of the best in Melbourne, I was really really disappointed.<br/><br/>The pizzas were dry and very salty, and my cousin and I were underwhelmed with it all.<br/><br/>I guess the atmosphere would be good if you're a uni student, and the price was extremely cheap. <br/><br/>The pizza we got at the airport was much better.
Xoraelis
We had dinner at Bimbo Deluxe on a Saturday night and it was fantastic! The food is value for money and tasted so delicious. We ordered the salami pizza and the prawn pizza which had ample salami and prawns and all for $4.00 each. The dough was thin so it wasn't causing you bloatiness afterwsrds. We also ordered the American sausage and was tasty as well. For dessert we share the chchocolate pizza, lychee pizza and the hundreds and thousands pizza. The winner was the chocolate pizza which is a must try. It was a fun atmosphere and very quirky decor. A must do!
Jae Lee
Absolutely terrible! The customer service here was horrendous. Every single staff member there was rude. They didn't allow me to have lunch there purely because I didn't have my drivers license as I.d and declined me from having lunch there even though the lunch had no alcohol in it whatsoever. Never knew you had to be over 18 to have lunch... Ridiculous.
Summer Elise Samuels
What's not to love?. Pizza's are always good, staff usually friendly and place always full!! Nothing but love for Bimbo's, will always come back again, again and again....
Moz
Iv been visiting Bimbos for years, Still great pizzas at a great price ($4). Never been let down with the quality and fast service :) Thanks guys
Prue-stoneham
Read all of the negative reviews and want too sure about going to this place again after about 8 years since my last visit but same great pizzas at the same great price. .... staff were fine pizzas didn't taste frozen as some reviews suggested. Will be back!
Lesley Anthony
To the haters who complain about the service when they are eating 4 dollar pizzas. Please, shut up and sit down.<br/><br/>Bimbos is the best place in melb for pizza which is like in Rome. Good vibe, great food. Friendly but no fluff staff. Love it. I'm a lifer!
Joy
Rude bouncers. After being searched like i was coming through customs and heavily ID'd the place was packed, i had to clear my own table and wipe it with a tissue.<br/>The pizza offer is a really good deal and they are really tasty though.

We received the most beautiful customer service from barman Matty (dreads) last night at Bimbos. He made an impression on all three of us, coming in from the cold damp streets of Fitzroy he beamed like sunlight. He served us beautiful drinks and incredible pizza's that were not sparing on the toppings like most are elsewhere. He made an effort to make sure we were content and made us smile and gave us lovely, genuine, welcoming warmth. I would go back just to see this barman, let alone the amazing (and cheap) pizza's. Thank you Matty, if you ever read this, for making our night at Bimbo's so special just by being you. You are the most brilliant host a restaurant or bar could hope to have, and you made us love Bimbos. It was a perfect night for us three under the lanterns, drinking in the atmosphere.
JMJ
I love Bimbos!! The pizzas are so delicious, but don't expect great table service and overly friendly staff, they are extremely busy with the crowds of people that rock on in around 7pm and it is what it is - $4, cheap, pizzas!
Alex
Horrible bar staff. Hot tattooed chick manager fixed everything right up. Overall good vibe, especially for a sunday night. need better DJs and renew liquor licensing in the courtyard. 11pm is early and the best part of bimbos really is the courtyard. $4 pizza was great but didn't enjoy it being thrown onto the table. Good selection of beer too
Happyfeet Natasha
Undoubtedly one of the rudest wait staff I have ever encountered in my life. While the manager is nice, they really need to teach their staff about customer service. Very disappointing.
Matt
Waited for my food for over an hour when there weren't many customers. Given an excuse of a "technical glitch". Atrocious service by staff members and the manager was absolutely clueless on how to do her job ! Would never ever return and never recommend this place to anyone
Brunchisbest
Had to wait over an hour for the pizzas, even though they are cheap, definitely not worth the wait. never again
Sebastine Fox
Nothing too delux. I used to enjoy Bimbo's and could be considered a local and a regular. However, my friends and I noticed that on each occasion the staff seem to respond more abruptly and with less care. They look overworked and disinterested. <br/><br/>The pizza is always good though with perfect sizing. The rocket and pumpkin salad is a favourite. If the staff upped there 'serving' game, this place would definitely be back as a regular hang out.
John Smith
Bimbos hurt my friends. I like animals.
VLB
Pizzas Good Rude Bar Staff. Pizza good, basic and cheap. Not super Gourmet, but def. above average. <br/><br/>Don't expect the bar staff to be very welcoming, (like the type of service you would get from your local publican), in fact they were quite rude. But chef was friendly. Give it a shot after work for pizza, but more of a place were you go for boozy drinks and then eat pizza as a consequence!
Rhawea
Straight up extremely rude staff, forget this place.
Sophie Cameron-Krepp
Not just cheap pizza!. If you know Brunswick street, you know that there is no shortage of good quality restaurants, cafes and bars around. And Bimbos is no exception!<br/><br/>Their $4 pizzas are truly remarkable for the price, their salads are simple but hit the spot without slamming the pocket, and what more, their rooftop garden makes for a perfect location to sit back with a couple of ciders.
Vixen88
C'mon guys your $4 pizzas are crap. I wouldn't pay 5cs for
Pella Jaye
Cheap eat. It is a guarantee you won't get good service or a table for that matter - but for $4 pizzas - who's complaining. And they take forever!
Nesibear
Cheap pizza that doesn't leave you hungry. Great tasting pizzas at a great price. What more could you want? Also, a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere inside, as well as a simple, pretty beer garden to chill and eat outside when the weather's just right.
Hannah Conda
Cheap and tasty pizza - gluten free option is good, but the soy cheese has milk in it - casein, a dairy protein. ridiculous!!! Why bother having soy cheese with milk in it - its no good for those who can't have Milk and vegans. <br/>Some staff are lovely, some are arrogant and rude - it's a strange mix. <br/>It can be hard/impossible to get a table, and it's a bit dirty - but for $4 you can't complain too much.
K C G
Staff are snobby. Drinks are overpriced. Have had some fun here but not tonight. Wouldn't bother again after getting charged $8 for a SCHOONER of little creatures. Much better places around.
Dobsessed
Awesome gluten free pizza. Their gluten free pizzas are as good, if not better than their regular pizzas...REALLY great value too!
Jack Boy
Really cheap pizza not sure about the quality but for a quick bite its worth it and a lot of fun. good vibe and sort of grungy fitout but so much fun
Daizi Zheng
Best pizza in the southern hemisphere. $4 ... What more do you want? How could you possibly not like this place?!
Liz
Discovered this place a few years back and been going there again on several occasions. Not the best service but the pizzas are delicioussss and definitely worth the $4, plus the roof is a great place to chill at night time
Luke Hague
Waiter cleaned table with dirty cloth, profanities on the staff's t-shirts, kitchen staff seen spitting in bin, pretty average food and average service, more of a hipster hang out than a dining experience..give this place a wide berth unless unavoidable.
Dark Scorponok
Beware the kitchen bullies. I've noticed that on the food menu there are pizzas with a chilli base but they don't tell you if it's mild or hot. So if you intend to order, try not to let the kitchen staff see you. You see, twice I've been hit with a hot chilli pizza and last time I went I made sure the kitchen staff didn't see me when I ordered. And lo & behold, a mild chilli base. The point is; expect to be judged on your looks if you dress like an abyss cartographer (AKA a metalhead). Conclusion: A complete and utter hipster bar in a hipster neighborhood.
James Vilinsky
Outstanding. The Calabrese pizza is one of, if not the best pizza's in Melbourne. I haven't had them all, so that is an assumption, but a chilli oil soaked Calabrese from Bimbo's is in my all time top 5 greatest foods of all time.
Jojo
Terrible Service. The staff are so arrogant! They make you feel like such an incovenience when you place an order.
SOMETHING TO TASTE
Can't go wrong with bimbo pizza. My regular pizza joint with variety of pizza to choose from. You really can’t go wrong with $4 pizza :)<br/>$4 PIZZA - <br/>SUN-THUR 7-11PM<br/>WEEKDAYS 12-4PM<br/>SATURDAY 7-9PM

Slow service, great pizzas. It's always packed, the service is consequently always ridiculously slow but for $4.00 I'm not complaining. The pizzas are generously sized and mostly super tasty. The salmon pizza is actually amazingly delicious, as are the mini desert pizzas. Bimbos is an institution!

Head to the rooftop at night and marvel at the beautiful Moroccan lanterns above :)
Caitlin
Can't beat $4 pizzas!! Amazing!
Jane Smith
After waiting 15 minutes just to place our order, we waited a further half hour only to realize our pizzas had been sent to the wrong table!!! The waitress the offered us the cold stale pizza that the wrong table hadn't eaten!!!!!!!!! We were surprised when she was shocked that we asked for our money back so we could leave. Very disappointed!
Rowdy Man
We Lost The Punters Club For This!?!. <br/><br/>OK, I guess you can't blame the business alone for replacing the famous live venue. That said, I put aside my prejudices and ventured inside. Now, lets get something straight here – I know it's $4 pizzas, so I didn't set the bar high. But seriously, the rot set in before I had even ordered. <br/><br/>As I attempted to find a table, I waited at the bar to be served. The staff were friendly towards me (unlike some reviews I've read), but I would bet this treatment would be on a night by night by basis. The place looks hipster but reeks of bar hopping yahoos: after all, it is Brunswick Street (which – lets face it – is now the new Chapel Street). <br/><br/>As I stood there, I found myself competing with two other groups for the chance of getting a table. An hour (yes an HOUR) after my order was placed, I was still standing. In the end, I ate my pizza, standing at the bar (obviously, this place was too cool for stools). As luck would have it, the pizza was so thin and the toppings so minimal that I was able to make a quick exit. <br/><br/>Seriously! Was this really worth saving $8 on a medium sized thin crust pizza?<br/><br/>Maybe I'm just not hip enough to get this new style of restaurant management. I think I'll stick with the old fashion, uncool restaurant with staff who care enough to monitor how full a place is getting rather than having groups of people standing around to fight over tables.<br/><br/>Food: Despite the "funky" names, the pizza is pretty average. (4)<br/><br/>Service: See above (2)<br/><br/>Value: Yeah, yeah....$4 pizzas. If I have to wait that long, then the low price of a pizza becomes a moot point (how much is your time worth?). Just because you get what you pay for, doesn't make it any better.  Anybody here claiming otherwise is clearly a broke student who couldn't afford better (for which, I pity them) (3)<br/><br/>Atmosphere: Another cookie-cutter, lad bar. Kids who don't know any better, may be fooled. Smorgy's for Hipsters (5)<br/><br/>OVERALL SCORE: 3.5/10
Thomas
DROWN ME IN THE CHILLI SAUCE. This is the greatest pizza place in Melbourne and most likely Australia. I suggest you punch yourself in the head repeatedly and give up on life if you dont like this place because you are worthless. I want to swim in a sea of Bimbos chilli sauce.
Karma Clarke
Pretty great pizzas. A bit dodgy, loud and smelly at nighttime. Very dark and dingy. Every hipster teenager has visited bimbos at least once, and it is painfully obvious that they still do.
The Culinary Genius
Nice pizza. Far from fancy place but great tasting & cheap pizza's are always a winning experience. A must do for anyone from out of town & spending a bit of time in Melbourne
Mandy
You couldn't really complain about a pizza that cost $4! Never had a bad one. Will slowly get through them all.
Spunkalicious
Awesome every time! Super cheap pizza, chilled environment and nice sounds.
WeirdMenagerie
Appallingly rude staff.. I went to the bar to order a pizza, whilst my friend held our table. She had requested the Gorgonzola pizza, and I opted for the Pear and Walnut. After placing the order with the waitress, my friend and I happily chatted away, until the waiter brought the pizzas over. As he presented the plates, a "Goats Cheese" and Pear and Walnut pizza, I apologised and said I had ordered a Gorgonzola pizza. He said sorry, and took the pizza back, and asked that I identify the waitress who had taken my order. I indicated the waitress at the bar, and he took the pizza away, I assumed to remedy the mistake. I was mistaken however, when the waitress storms over, hand on hip, pizza in the other, and aggressively informs my friend that she had ordered a "Goats cheese" pizza not "Gorgonzola." My friend hadn't even placed the order, how could the waitress stand there and tell her what she'd asked for when she couldn't even remember who had ordered and paid? If her attitude wasn't poor enough she slammed the plate down and said it was "close enough." <br/><br/>We were apparently stuck with a pizza we hadn't ordered, and were made to feel like idiots who didn't know what we wanted when in fact the idiot behind the bar had no recollection of the actual person she'd even spoken to?...
Hangry Eater Of The North East
Less is more nomnomnom. Really tasty pizza. I love their bases, and their toppings, whilst simple, are top quality and well-chosen and follow the basic principle of pizza making - less is more! I'm so sick of the 'Mc Pizzas' that so many places churn out and it's so nice to have a place along Brunswick St that offers decent food sans 'trendy tax.' Also the service was really friendly too so ticks all round!
Paul
Cheap pizza although they were pretty basic. House beer was good. Late opening hours is good & roof terrace was now although a touch small.

I like the pizzas the staff and the inability to care can be frustrating. My friend ordered the organico with a gluten free crust. All seemed ok until the waiter comes out with our pizzas but they somehow forgot to put my friends pizza toppings on the GF. My friend was fine with this and the waiter gave a slack apology and said he'd fix this. 15 minutes later, he comes back and sheepishly admits that they ran put of GF crusts. By this stage, my friend is cranky from hunger and just wants her darn pizza, so she said it was fine to use the normal crust. By this stage, it had been about 45 minutes and those who had pizza, were pretty much almost done. Even though, its only $2 extra, we were surprised that my friend was not offered a refund and even though they gave her money back after she asked; its the fact that WE had to chase them for it. After an hour an a bit, my friend finally got her pizza and judging by the way she ate, it was safe to say she was pissed (and hungry) I think the worst part was the waiter barely apologized. I guess the very least they could have done was offer a drink or make the pizza free. I know its only $4 but customer service is still important and the staff at Bimboes need to learn that. We used to go there pretty regularly and put up with it, it after that episode, we are a lot more reluctant to go there.

Great place. Definitely a place I would return to! The pizzas are good, the drinks are as you'd expect and the atmosphere is even better. It's incredibly hard finding a table to sit on the usual busy nights, so I suggest you run to a table as soon as it's free =P as I've given up on it altogether a couple of nights. It's one of those treasures on Brunswick Street that reflects the Fitzroy vibe.

Pizzas were reeeeeally slow to come out, and the base tasted doughy and slightly undercooked. Arrogant service to boot!

Value!. How these guys can manage to pack so much tasty goodnes into a $4 pizza is beyond me! Love the food, tunes are rad and staff are fun! great job Bimbo. My favourite

Cheezels
Great price and nice food. Great for lunch. Quick deicious and they now have a gluten free option for an extra $2.

Good pizza bad service. Good pizza ,especially if you pay $10 to be a member and then you get your pizza for $4. good bar and upstair roof top bar is good to. can customise your pizza and anything you like good beer but ..staff can be obnoxious and just plain rude at times which is a real shame. ..can be really hard to get a seat from happy hour untill late so be there early.<br/><br/>parking can be s#%t also ...but the worse thing is the service. ive been spoken to poorly on many occassions ,people I know say the same and other customers ive seen 1st hand have been spoken to poorly. I really dont know how this place really continues to allow the staff to speak badly to the customers in the manner they do. ..dont get me wrong more often than not its ok ..but too many times to let it slip from this review.

Great pizza in relaxed surrounds for SOOOOOO cheap. You don't have to be very bright to realise this is awesome.

Super pizza at a super price. Fantastic pizza at $4 during many different 'happy hours' It gets very busy at 7pm when happy hour starts most nights, so grab yourself a membership for $5, or maybe its $10 these days and get $4 pizza at anytime.<br/><br/>During the day on weekdays and weekends is a great time to go with hardly any people or wait.<br/><br/>Agnello is the way to go, followed closely by Calabrese then Caesar (no anchovies - blurgh)
Vimmi Boni Bangari
The best!. I could wolf down an Agnello anytime! Simply the best pizzas I've tasted, plus they are supercheap! The ambience is great, location great, food great, price great, what more could you ask for!?
Richard
Cheap and good
Polly
Tasty, cheap pizza and an igloo room!. Great place, and awesome acoustics in the igloo room :) Can't go wrong with $4 pizzas that have decent toppings and taste great - savoury and sweet pizzas available (but be warned, the dessert pizzas are smaller!)

Worst staff in Melbourne

Smaller pizzas?. The pizzas have shrunk a little, but still great value and great flavours...I've tried every sing pizza on the menu and love thm all
Pousie
Cheap & cheerful. $4 pizza is just to hard to go past! Not the best pizza I have ever had but not the worst! <br/><br/>The igloo room is fun - cool acoustics - interesting! <br/><br/>cheap and cheerful - perfect way to start a saturday night

Cheapy. Love the atmosphere and decore. pizzas are yum and cheap. must thank my sister for taking me there

Don't like Bimbo Deluxe as a night spot, mainly because I've had some pretty nasty encounters with one of the bitchy bouncers ... but on the other hand ... I absolutely love this place as a lunch spot. Been coming here for years. My favorites are the Agnello and Bianca al Pomodoro. Have thoroughly enjoyed the banana and maple dessert pizza too :)

Such an amazing rooftop bar! One of my fave places to chill out for a drink in Melbourne! Pizzas are cheap & pretty tasty too!

Can't complain!. You can't complain with $4 pizzas can you? it's just average pub food that looks better than pizza hut ! Not the best dough but it's hard to complain when you're only paying $4. I like the Caeser pizza haha overall good place to hang but not a place to go have dinner haha<br/><br/>For pizza lovers, I recommend going to 'Pizza Miene' on High St Northcote - I don't go anywhere else for pizza! i go there on a regular basis and there has never been a 'bad' day! I actually tried out a place called 'Ladro' because apparently the made good pizza. but it was quite close to horrible.. the thing that put me off was their dough it was burnt underneath and all i could taste is bitterness. anyway back to my recommendation. PIZZA MIENE has really good pizza for about $13-$16

Awesome. Great courtyard, a quirky, retro decor, a mix of designs ranging from a 50s american diner, your grandma's living room with old comfy couches and an exotic island with hanging carpets and tropical plants. A nice place to have a drink and an amazing offer of $4 pizzas after 7, with quite the assortment and all are delicious!

Bit of fun. Bimbo's offers a dirty and dark pub inside and a beautiful decked rooftop courtyard outside. The wait staff are pretty rude and abrupt and the coffee's are terrible, but the bigger picture is just how great this place actually is.<br/><br/>The atmosphere out there when a live band is playing, people literally blowing bubbles, $4.00 pizzas and good drinks - this place cant get it wrong.<br/><br/>It is worth getting a $5.00 member card if you live locally or get down there a lot.<br/>Highly reccomend Bimbos for a chill lunch and cheap drink.<br/>It is always good fun.

Classic cheap & cheerful fare. Totally comfy to boot.

Excellente!. My favourite place in all of Melbourne-town!<br/><br/>Awesome drinks, food and atmosphere!

Good cheap pizza. I only have visited during the afternoon always found seats easily pizzas hae been great beers not cheap but not over the top expensive either. All in all worth a visit for sure, I will return

Busy but tasty!. Oh the delicious cheap pizza! I really enjoyed it. It's really hard to get a table though, and we were early. We had people breathing down our neck and interrupting our meal to ask us if they could have our table when we were done, then they sat nearby watching us as we shoveled it down. Not a relaxing meal unfortunately, but I cannot fault the food nor the price.
Barry
You would only go here for the cheap pizza, cos the drinks are way over priced and the staff have way too much attitude
Nettie
Eh.... The pizzas are great, but the music is ear splitting and horrible. It's also fairly hard to get a place to sit, and if you have long legs, forget about being comfortable. Hard to recommend for the atmos, but worth it for the food. Eat, then repair somewhere you can hear yourself think.

Gotta love $4 handmade pizza! But if your a big eater you may need more than one. Toppings and general flavour tasty and decent number of menu choices. Extra points to quirky, bohemian style atmosphere and casual, friendly staff.
Lachlan B
$4 pizza's! How can you go wrong? Well I guess you could. But they get it right. Pizza's are simple but good. Arrive early for lunch, turn up at 11:55am if you want a nice seat up the top!
Josh
Stupidly cheap pizza which is great. Awesome place
Blake Dahl
Great music and atmosphere! Hard to get table so get in early.

Great pizza. Love this place, the rooftop is great and the pizza is great, especially bc you only pay $4!! Staff is not the friendliest around but who cares...
Mara Moo
Love this place! How can you go wrong with a $4 pizza made on a pita bread with a multitude of different selections!lDefinitely not your average pizza but well worth the price for something different! The atmosphere and funked out venue only adds to an interesting night!

Favourite. The only thing I can critisize about Bimbo's is that I hate the music it plays.<br/>Nevertheless it's still a favourite among myself and friends. You can't really go wrong with $4 pizza and a pretty awesome range of beers, ciders and flavoured vodkas.

Best pizza had it ever, tasting is believing.Everybody must-try! recommend Lamb and salmond, you can not go wrong, enjoy!

Super cheap, super good. This place perfectly suits its location of Brunswick. A bit dark and alternative, with a great vibe and music around.<br/><br/>The massive lure to this place is obviously the $4 pizzas, which mirrors its sister on Chapel street, Lucky Coq, which in themselves make the trip worthwhile.<br/><br/>A good range of beers, wine and spirits. Can get a little crowded, but it just adds to the atmosphere.
Ilovefood
$4 pizza!!. Had $4 pizzas for dinner here last night. Despite being so cheap, it was still very tasty! Pizzas on a yummy thin base with great flavours.
Iggy
Great value for money pizza, great taste!. Went here because I purchased a $1 pizza coupon from Scoopon (www.scoopon.com.au). It's set up as a pub/bar style, which is not a place I normally would go to. The pizza is very nice though, with thin base (which I like). Size is 10". They are also reasonably priced, with $9.99 as the most expensive pizza. They reduce their pizza price to $4 every Mon-Fri 12-4pm and Sat-Thu 7-11pm. For a $4 pizza, it's really great value for money (certainly with me getting the pizza for $1 it's the best value of money!).

Love the pizza... simple, cheap and yum.

Introduction to this place is guaranteed to impress and atmosphere is great!

Great Pizza. Fantastic Pizza at any price, I highly recommend this place as a starter for a Friday or Saturday night out. Or even a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Got the shirt!. Apart from this being where I bought one of my favourite Tee's, this place does a $4 gourmet pizza at lunch (or buy a tee, join the club and pat $4 anytime). <br/><br/>This pub has a laid-back, indie vibe and the pizza is great : unusual toppings in great combinations- good place to stop by for a break in the day's shopping.
Burger
Pizza and not much else. I've avoided this place, possibly because it something of a monument to the stupid developer and yuppie driven gentrification of inner melbourne.. It replaced the still mourned Punters Club years ago - another awesome live music hotspot replaced with Revolver rip off that hasn't got much to offer except for cheap food, and a dj who looks better than he sounds. I think Bimbo's arrival was the exact moment that Brunswick Street became the new Chapel Street.<br/><br/>Bar service was slow and dim-witted. I asked what beers they had in bottles and the barman asked if I'd like a lager or an ale.. I answered "lager" and he recommended an Ale. Here's the tip smartypants barman.. if you don't know what you're talking about, there's no shame in rattling off the list of beers in stock. While he opened my beer I realised I was surrounded by backpackers, students, and girls who said "youse". A lot. <br/><br/>HOWEVER<br/><br/>i had a pizza. it had haloumi and olives on it. it cost four bucks. And it was delicious. I will go here again one day, but only if I have only four bucks to my name and I am starving.
Sarah
Cannot go past such cheap pizzas! Hard to get a table though and first in best dressed but if you are prepared to fight for a table it is worth it!

Good cheap pizza; nice and easygoing. Pretty easy decision

Atmosphere & service, pizza variable. Overall this place is really good. Good drinks, service and a great atmosphere. I wasn't impressed with the pizza though. Masses of roast garlic (done poorly) with basically no olive oil and a tiny bit of cheese.... not impressed. Someone I ate with had one with a nice hot salami which was far more impressive. Worth a go, but it might take you a couple of tries to find the pizza for you.
Nick
Great pizza best when quiet during the week hard to get a table when busy but still worth going if busy
Rc
Best value pizzas and relaxed environment can be busy at times
