Really lovely place, the atmosphere is great, very warm and cozy inside, great place to relax with friends have a drink or two, the outdoor area is perfect for afternoon. The staffs were really friendly, would definitely like to revisit.
Pretty much spent an entire afternoon here because their outdoor seating is amazing when you're in the sun. Drinks aren't too bad too. Bring your dogs.

Afternoon well spent ! This place is so cozy and chillax! The staff is really friendly and nice !
We just had 2 drinks : cafe latte and lemon lime bitter, which were really good and refreshing !
Would totally come back here again!
Groovy baby. A place to go to be seen. I’ve only the coffee and it was good so would recommend for that alone. Staff very friendly - couch comfy but low and so tricky to elegantly exit 😄 will give this place another go.
Don't drink the Rock Barr Rose as we did, but do drink the Monteiths Bohemian would be our recommendation from this chilled out little pub. Also perhaps sit at the booths over the uncomfortable couches, or use the cushions to protect your back from the hard inner frames of these ancient seats.
Negatives aside this little venue for music and cheeriness offers a cool relaxed vibe with a young crowd and some good tunes playing in the background. Staff were also laid back.
This bar has the largest single panel mirror I have ever seen. It has to be seen. So freakin big.
I'd say this venue typifies what a Brunswick street venue once was (and should continue to be)... a little bit grungy and run down but with a heap of character.
Nice service and awesome ambience. They were a bit slow with service and forgot an item, and the baguette was stale and really hard to eat. Nonetheless, friendly staff who chatted to us and were fun, and served us nicely. Food was okay and service was okay but they were friendly. Would love to go back again at night.

Really nice place with great vibe. You can sit indoors or in the somewhat beer garden, both spots are very enjoyable. I had a good time with my white wine glass and my boyfriend's beer was pretty well chosen as well. If you're looking for a nice alternative vibe place to visit, search no more, this is where you wanna be!
Black Cat is great, and has both indoor and outdoor seating. It's a bit loud for me in the confined interior, but sitting outside is really lovely and lively.
The beating heart of Fitzroy, it's quite bewildering to see how the level of ultra hip has exasperated over the fallen years.
A really chilled share house vibe is ensured when grazing on the hard rubbish couches inside or shaded green tables outside.
I noticed that more orderly, art pieces have replaced the glass framed, insect specimens that were most memorable to me years ago.
There's quite a thoughtful list of local brews, popular cocktails and tasty nibbles to mull over.
Black Cat's a true gem that gels together the many evolving sub-cultures from past and future generations.
Popped in for a coffee catch up with a friend and immediately loved the chill vibe the cafe offers. We sat on the misfit couches by the window and enjoyed a soy latte and a long soy mac. Coffee was good but the long soy mac could have been stronger. The shear atmosphere of this cafe is enough to bring me back as well as the lovely staff.
