A beautiful wine bar in the heart of Fitzroy, Little Odessa is a gorgeous place. An understated and elegant decor is intimate and inviting, and there is a cosy ambience. The staff here are fantastic, and nothing is too much trouble.
I have only been here for a few glasses of fabulous wine. The drinks list is quite good, and it's a very pleasant place for a relaxing drink. The food menu also sounds fantastic, and it's definitely on my list of places to return to for dinner. The perfect venue for a lovely date night or a fun get together with friends; Little Odessa is all class.
Quirky, unique and the epitome of genuine hospitality. This family-run bar remains a favourite for me (especially due to the dream wine list).

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I was on my way to the Rochey when I passed by this unassuming little place just off Brunswick, and realised it's one I've been meaning to check out for ages. One call to my friend and we'd cancelled our earlier lunch plans to embrace the ploughman's lunch here, a veritable feast plus drink for the Soviet Union price of just $25. Borscht was served up first, and was delicious. It wasn't the best I've had, but it tasted fresh and healthy. Next up was the ploughman's platter, which was deceptively filling. Potato salad (creamy and with dill), bread with a delicious cream cheese spread, cheese and of course pickles made up our lunch which was devoured enthusiastically. All parts of the meal were tasty and felt authentic. There's a nebiolo on the wine list that I'd highly recommend. It's served cold and is incredibly light - the perfect accompaniment to a wonderful lunch. Service was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to return to try the a la carte menu. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
Beautifully fitted out relaxing wine bar. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive and food was really tasty.
Loved the extensive drinks list to choose from and overall the place was fantastic.
Thanks for a great experience
We loved dining here. The ambiance feels European, the service is attentive and kind, and the food is en pointe. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Been wanting to come here for a while and made the trip for Father's Day. Loved the menu, which was full of things I wanted to try. We chose Borscht, Pierogi, Goulash, charred Brussels sprouts and parsnip puree, roast chicken followed by layered honey cake and caramelised apple cake. We had fantastic food throughout the meal which was enjoyed by children and adults alike! Fantastic cocktails (especially Park Side Fizz) as appetisers and the Okro's Wine (my first ever Saperavi) was a perfect complement to the Goulash in particular.
It's places like this that makes me love Melbourne! These guys are seriously knowledgeable about wine this was one of my first Georgian wine experiences (apparently one of the oldest wine making regions in the world) and it was an orange wine.
The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful either. The food is based on Eastern Europe and we started with battered and fried pickles (phenomenal) the seared sardines and the vanilla parsnip purée Brussels sprouts 👌
Fun fact about me: One of my FAVOURITE cuisines is Polish. Finding out there was a new restaurant in town meant I HAD to check it out. Little Odessa is just off Brunswick Street in and amongst the best bars in town. Is this the perfect pre drink meal? Lets find out!. This new spot is so simple, intimate and cosy I can imagine being their for a romantic date or dinner with a group of my closest friends. Though I describe it as cosy, it is quite spacious put gives off a small impression, reflecting its Eastern European roots with dark simple furniture and artwork.
We had an early Mother’s Day here on Sunday lunchtime. To my surprise and delight, I was offered a choice of not 2 pre-set tables but 3 which was a nice touch. We were treated incredibly well with excellent service and a friendly and engaging manner from the owner of the business!
The food was delicious. We all had pierogi then followed by the pork loin which was tender. For me my favourite was the dessert which was decadent.
Highly rate it and would definitely return.
Enjoyed a nice light dinner at Little Odessa last week. Great service, natural wine and pierogie (we tried both types. We will be back again.
