An absolute hidden gem! Found it while looking for bars to celebrate a friend’s birthday and couldn’t be more excited to find this. The bar tender/ absinthe expert made every drink worth it!

Vince & Bec provide a good service to make your experience memorable and I enjoyed every beverage here my favourite absinthe drink was the ‘Fontaine ‘ & they have good cigars as well.
Awesome atmosphere in a great location. A unique bar experience mixing absinthe and artwork, the outdoor patio is especially cool and intimate. Highly Recommended!

I’ve wanted to go to this place since I first heard about it and I wasn’t disappointed. This place is awesome!! It’s a step back in time.
The service was excellent, with everything explained in finite detail thank you it made my experience that much better.
All of the staff were lovely, and the absinthe drinks and the correct process of preparing the said drink was an art in itself.

This place is such an unbelievable experience from its world class Absinthe, amazing ambience, and detailed visual aspects that bring the experience together.
An interesting concept that has been nailed perfectly. From the architecture of the building to the ringing of the doorbell to enter. This medieval bar takes you back in time to not only learn about the history of absinthe but with a selection of over 100 bottles, there is plenty to taste too. Multiple visits required!
Cool venue, don't be fooled from the outside. Once in its really nice and some great artwork. They are really helpful with the drinks and you can enjoy cigars as well. One to indulge in.
This was an amazing and beautiful place to have a drink before dinner. The interior was dark and a little mysterious and the service had an old world charm. I just wish we had more time to savour the experience. But we'll be back.

This is an amazing, hidden gem. From the moment you step off the tram your experience of Absinthia begins. After walking down the dark street and finding a mysteries glowing, green, brick and plastic building, you must ring the door bell to enter. A well dress man appears from behind the door and welcomes you inside. The interior of this building is like something from a dream; peculiar paintings on the walls, green flowers hanging from the ceiling, very moody lighting. You're shown the correct way to drink Absinthe and the bartender, when it comes to the spirit, is probably the most knowledgeable man I've met. His detailed descriptions about each individual Absinthe are as absorbing as they are entertaining. I had never had Absinth before, and although I don't overly enjoy the taste, I will certainly be back!
Absolutely stunning, one of a kind bar with an incredible range of absinthe. Shout out to Paddy who made our visit that much better with his friendly banter and impressive knowledge on the drinks being served. Couldn't have asked for a better night out. Try the smooth selection of absinthe, especially the Grove.

Went for a friend's 40th birthday. The layout was good, it was easy to walk around, mingle and chat to everyone. The staff were friendly and knowelagable. Would return.
You know when you go to a cool place and then its ruined by pretentious staff? This is not like that. The interior space of this hidden gem is amazing. Its like you've stepped into another realm, from a tulip lined ceiling, fountains to some form of artwork everywhere you look. Its not huge but cosy, with a decent sized equally stunning outdoor area.
The staff are fun and friendly and full of personality and elevate the overall experience of the venu. Do your self a favour and check it out.
Unique setup. Lights were beautiful as was the set up near the bar where drinks were served. A few different craft beers available and also wines. And obviously Absinthia. The place is cozy. Nice and warm and intimate. Not big by any stretch. We were there for a party. Food was average. Not sure if it was set menu or selection. Overall an interesting place worth a look.
This place is, no question, my favourite haunt in Melbourne.
The decor is glorious, the drink selection is world class & I can't think of a better group of hosts.
If you're into absinthe culture & history, these guys are experts & will regale you with stories.
