Really yummy! Ordered take away through Zomato app. Wasn’t ready when I got there on the recommended time but was only a short wait so no issues. Taquitos are soooo yummy and the chicken classic burrito is amazing. We got the chilli fries which were pretty good but didn’t really transfer well with takeaway- chips got a little soggy. Would defiantly try again dine in.

Amazing food ; ambience and excellent customer service . The cocktails just took us back to Mexico . Will be back once again. Loved all food we ordered. We ordered very spicy and it was still mild for us 😂
I’ve been to Hecho En Mexico a couple of times and had fairly good experiences.
The first time I got corn, nachos to share with a friend and a beef burrito. The nachos were definitely the stand out on that occasion - lots of flavour and toppings. The beef burrito was nice however there was a lot of juice so got a bit messy especially since it was cut in half (more like a wrap than a burrito). My friend got the vegetarian chimichanga, which I tried some of - it was great!
On my second visit I got nachos again, however this time they weren’t as good. I also got a stuffed jalapeño which wasn’t very hot so I was a little let down on this occasion.
The Tommy Margaritas are fantastic - always a favourite of one at Mexican restaurants and these definitely bring my rating up from a 3 to a 4.

You’ll find quite a number of Hecho en Mexico outlets dotted around Melbourne. Many of their menu items including the tacos and quesadillas come with a wide choice of fillings and salsa.

Driving through Fitzroy and was hungry. Decided to drop in with friends. Good service and range. Everything was good quality and was enjoyed by all.
Attended a family function here on a Wednesday evening, seated outdoors. To drink I ordered a Sangria and my meal was the Soft Corn Taco’s with Veggie filling and side of guacamole. It was absolutely delicious, the best Mexican food I can say I’ve ever tried.
The service was outstanding. Our waiter for the night was so lovely, helpful and professional. I should have caught his name to thank him for his pleasant service and kind efforts!
Great service. The chips had heaps of flavouring. Tacos, burrito are worth getting. Packed with heaps of flavour and very full afterwards
The service here were quite nice, the food was pretty nice, huge potion, great selection of hot sauce. The vibe was nice and casual, nice experience.
Delicious fresh authentic Mexican food with just the right amount of spice. Amazing corn and the best prawn taco I have had in Australia. Great selection of cocktails too! The staff were friendly and attentive. It was a fun night - a great vibe and I will definitely be back!

Absolutely adore this place.
Ambiance is great, service is wonderful, and food is fantastic. Our server -I didn't get their name but they were very short- was incredibly professional and looked after their own tables as well as helping new staff members out. Pretty impressive.
Got a lemon lime and bitters but it was really really bitter. Even for a LLB. Almost like it had been made with grapefruit. I worked as a bartender for years and I've never had an LLB that tart. So maybe need to revise the recipe somewhat?
Would also love to see images of Mexico on the big screen? Might make the place feel even more authentic. The beach scenes felt a bit out of place.
Will 100% be back. Best Mexican food around.
great taco place!! def try their fish taco. The fish was so crunchy, i love how they have a spicy kick in that and it pairs great with the sour cream! The corn chips was ok, not so special.
If you love tacos, they have a pretty great deal of $21 for 3 🤤

Went out for pizza ended up at this place! No regrets.
We ordered the Chicken Burrito, Chicken Quesadilla and Nachos. Serving sizes were very generous and super delicious!
The ambiance was lovely and service was great.

A wonderful experience at Hecho. The barman Reid concocted the most amazing chili lime cilantro margarita. Popping with flavour. Possibly the best drink I have ever had. Well done! Oh and by the way the food was awesome too.
Delicious food! So tasty & easily accommodated our vegan & nut free requirements. One of the best Mexican places we've been to. You've got to try their Nachos & burritos!
Yummy food, yummy cocktails. Decent amount of GF options on the menu. Had the pork tacos which are infused with orange. Delicious! My partner has tried all their tacos over time and their favourite is the fish taco followedly closely by the pork. Onion rings were the entrée and they were light and fluffy (best I've had). Definitely one of our go to places for comfort food as we can trust the flavour will never disappoint.
