I love this traditional French place at the top of Montville/Flaxton.
Thierry, the host, has a booming voice in the service area, but the food is to die for.
Escargot, an amazing smoked roulade of lamb belly (just about the BEST thing I have ever eaten) and a perfect creme brûlée to finish.
I would recommend this place to anyone in a heart beat!
We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Le Relais Bressan. This place very much reminds me of some of the great eating places I went to while in France. It is authentic.The owners are very friendly providing exceptional service.The food is sensational with lots of classic French dishes. The sauces are just divine. All of this in a beautiful setting looking across the valleys makes this a charming place to dine at.If you are visiting during the day don't forget Cocorico which is right next door. All the chocolates are handmade by the talented Sebastien Clerc. The raspberry and the lavender will blow your mind away. And the hot chocolates are the best I have ever had.
Recommended by the owner of the cottages we stayed in, we enjoyed our dinner at Le Relais Bressan. Hubby had escargot and duck and I had salmon salad and quail. I found my quail a little dry but otherwise the meal was wonderful. The owner Theirry is a great character and very helpful. After the richness of our meals we were not up for dessert sadly, as the desserts being sent to other tables looked amazing. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
What an excellent restaurant! Wonderful food, and a 3 course meal for $27.50, of that quality is outstanding! Even the vintage Citroen and Renault cars in the room to the side were awesome. Cannot wait to go back!
This is one of our favourite restaurants on the Sunshine Coast. We often come here, either the two of us for lunch or with family and friends. Thierry and his wife are greats hosts. The staff also are polite and efficient. We think the two or three course fixed price menus are great value for money. Although the portions are not huge, they are well flavoured and presented. Having lived in France for much of my early life, the food here is the most authentic French style food I have encountered in Australia.
Loved it. Great service great value. Had the three course menu with my wife and we each picked a different entree, main and desert to try everything. At $27 a ahead it was excellent value. We also had the snails as extra had to in a French restaurant. Everything was superb and we were very full. Highly recommend it.
The perfect venue for a work retirement party. Delicious food, high quality and very reasonable price. Creme Brûlée was to die for. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating.
Great place great service. Went here on a getaway weekend with a bunch of my besties. Their $27.50 three course lunch/dinner menu at our holiday home food booklet caught our eye and when we arrived we found a lovely restaurant with character. The owner was great in service, the food was great and well worth the price!! There was quite a range of dishes to choose from the 3 course menu or you could order separately. We drove past Montville Town Centre and was tempted to just stay there for lunch but the extra 5 min drive down the road was so worth it!! Would recommend anyone and would definitely go there again! Also across the road from the restaurant is a great viewing platform :)
Really lovely dining experience . Food was delicious traditional French fare . Service was impeccable . Would definitely come again .
An ongoing great Restaurant. I went to Thierrys' previous Place in Stafford before he went up in the World.. well up the Mountains.
I still go to his present one , regularly, from Brisbane. Great Food , Great Service and atmosphere.
