A brilliant addition to Footscrays food scene. Pricey, but worth the extra dollars for freshly cooked, delicious burgers that haven’t been messed about with - no chopping boards or fiddle fry baskets here. Just classic burgs with crispy, steaming hot fries.
Came here during lockdown for a takeaway burger. The burger looks simple but is quite tasty. I feel that they could do better with just slapping a couple of lettuce in the burger, but it hasn’t affected the taste much. I like it that it isn’t too greasy, but it’s not particularly big. Price is good, service was good too because I think the boss/ manager was on duty.

We came in today because of the gluten free options for Emily, and found the menu to be exactly what we were craving- delicious, juicy burgers with some gravy fries too. We ordered the huxtaburger on a gluten bun and the Theo. The juices and meat in the burger work very well together, a really good amount of juicyness. The sauces were also good, whilst we took glee in how fresh the ingredients used were. The chips weren't too oily or fatty, instead crinkled well and seasoned with a nice salt. The gravy too, was light and had a good taste to it.
Good juicy burgers for good value. Definitely worth trying out!

I’m not a huge burger fan but was pretty impressed with the HUXTABURGER. It wasn’t too greasy but still had that dirty burger taste. The chips are really crisp, fluffy on the inside and well seasoned. The gravy would’ve been better had it been thicker but flavour wise it’s tasty.
THIS PLACE IS 5 STAR!!! The signature huxtaburger is the best. Although I think they may have changed cooks or management because the burgers aren't quite as good- the flavours still go but the patty is smaller and too much sauce. Also they aren't selling hashbrowns anymore which went great in a burger.
Love the sondra burgers and huxta burger was juicy. Very crispy chips. The vegan burger uses a different bun which isnt the best as its abit on the hard side but besides that everything else is good
Baby Cheesus (or just the Cheesus if I’m starving), and the Vege Denise are our go to burgers. And love the hash bites which are always just right. Service is great too - I mixed up the Denise and Vege Denise, and they kindly corrected my mistake without charging me extra! ❤️❤️
Despite the reviews, I actually enjoy the burgers here. It’s not oily like 8-bit, juicy and they have a good range to choose from. They have mini burgers to choose from which helps me feel less guilty haha
Been wanting to try Huxtaburger in Footscray for a while. I ordered the Sondra burger and large chips. The Sondra burger really hit the spot, it was decent in size & the patty was delicious, not soggy. The chips were cooked perfectly, crunchy & hot. There were two really spicy sauces to try with the burger & chips, highly recommend it. Service was fast & friendly.
Lizzie’s first impression: I came here when they first opened - the line was ridiculous but it has gotten progressively better.
Lizzie enjoyed: The burgers were delicious! The fries were also cooked very well - almost better than the store in the cbd.
Lizzie did not enjoy: they were new to the sunburb around half a year ago and there is almost no line now which is great!
Lizzie rates overall: a great place for burgers but I wouldn’t travel all the way here just for it.
Fantastic burgers, delicious actually. I had a Denise and fries with paprika majo and the combination was perfect. The burgers from Huxtaburger have been a consistent #1 for me for a long time, it’s the perfect brioche bun, fresh crispy salad and tasty burger then makes it. The only let down is the price. $23.30 is a lot to pay for a hamburger, chips and a drink plus the draft in the restaurant was damn chilly. Still, highly recommended and i will keep going back.
