My two girlfriends and I were having a weekend away for my birthday, and decided to have my birthday lunch at Reef. The view was amazing, the service was exceptional, and the food even better... I had their lemon meringue pie cocktail and my mind was blown by the fact it tasted exactly like a lemon meringue pie..... lunch was beautiful, and so filling we had to go for a walk before we could come back and have dessert, which we did..... was definitely the highlight of my weekend and a lovely place to celebrate my birthday.
The food at the Reef is always absolutely mouth-watering. It’s always so fresh and cooked beautifully; even their bread and trio of dips is delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, and the views are spectacular, especially at sunset. Whenever my family is in Forster we usually go to the Reef every night. Like most people I think there’s nothing better than eating great food right on the water, so The Reef is definitely my happy place!
Sad cause food closes at 3, but the nachos were actually massive and delicious! Drinks were good too. But the view was what made it amazing! Such great vibes!
After having lived in the US for 20 years we had become very picky when it comes to Mexican food. It's been hard to find anything other than just very ordinary tacos, burritos, and chimichungas. No such trouble here. The slow cooked lamb with chilies, coriander, tortillas, citrus tomatillo salsa, red onion, feta, iceberg and lime was a killer. Great flavours and very well cooked. The chocolate tres leche was the pick of the desserts. A surprising find.

Lovely spot and nice team looking after us. Had a light lunch ..our group had tacos and quesadillas...I am a taco aficionada and love a contemporary take on original tacos..pretty decent tacos except prefer they keep the authentic soft corn tortilla rather than some they do with flour tortillas ..more in keeping with tacos from Mexico. Tacos a decent amount of filling. I asked for my tacos with corn tortilla and they happily swapped it for the flour tortillas.
Went with my Dad for a snack and drinks and was so impressed with the service and the food - we tried 3 of the small plates and they were excellent! Delicious, super fresh, great flavours. I loved the poppers and the tostada. Can’t wait to come back!
We have been wanting to go for ages. It didn't disappoint!! Went out with the girls for dinner, we had the set banquet $42 per head plus drinks. Great value and the food was amazing. Service friendly and attentive. Loved it. Want to take the family there!
