Review Eeny Meeny Cafe - Frankston

Phil Malone
Great trendy place in Frankston right opposite the Train station. Try the Eeny Benny - delicious eggs benedict on a potato waffle. Staff friendly and helpful, chai was great and not too sweet. Nice courtyard area out the back (protected from the weather and heated)
Megan Richards
Couldn't fault anything! Asked for crispy bacon, got it. Persian eggs were creamy and moist. Great coffee.
Veronica Clunes
Croissant arrived but still 10mins later I’m still waiting for my coffee!!! I went to the counter to ask and they said it would be another 5-10!!!! What the!?! Why serve food without a drink? Or maybe offer some water? I won’t be back that’s for sure
Annette Varidel
Food is very yummy and I especially love the savoury tart they have every now and then. Staff are friendly and the service is fantastic. Definitely recommend.
Cain
Really good coffee, is on the stronger side so try it before asking for extra shots. Food is top notch too. If you can get seating out back in their courtyard as out front can be a bit noisy
Vanessa Malcholm
One of the best foodie destinations in the area. Delicious food and wonderful staff who were so accomodating for our 12 month old. We can’t wait to go back!!!
Tijana Sanchez
Ordered the warm salad and it was so awful there was no flavour whatsoever, chicken Kastu was okay but also so bland. Paid 45 dollars and will not be returning.
Andrew Stringer
Great atmosphere and friendly staff and great coffee and food. Rob ,Sandra and all the gang will look after you. Rebecca

Great place to hang out with your friends in Frankston. The staffs and the chef are amazingly welcoming. Food is comforting, had a very yummy well-made pumpkin quiche like tart today. The eggs are just right, not too soft, not too hard, which some well known cafe couldn’t deliver. Love the way they have weekly menu, which means it may surprise you differently every week. Asian fusion inserted in menu as well. These people know food and service. Surly will be back again. Cheers!
Lynne Poulton
Great food scrambled eggs delicious toast delectable plenty of it too - great friendly service highly recommend
Freja Leonard
Served a delicious salad in a cardboard box so I could enjoy a plastic free take away. Great service, delicious food, these guys are the best.
Kristine Macmang
Highly Recommended. Best spot if looking for good coffee and great meal when in Frankston. Ambience is relaxed & cosy. Service is great Thank you for being here! this spot!
Jessie Leigh Stewart
Five stars just doesn't do this place justice. The coffee for one is always perfect, the food is more scrumptious with every visit, the atmosphere is flawless and the customer service is absolutely incomparable. This is our favourite place to go to on Sunday morning. Would give 100 stars if I could!
Lawrie Millett
Out there.. Great food, good coffee and fab staff. Add the atmosphere and music. My top caff..

My favourite place for coffee in the whole world. Lovely staff and amazing service ♡♡
Lyn Joy Mac
Very friendly place with a tasty, nutritious & innovative menu!

Love the coffee here ..my absolute favourite place when I'm in town .
Twisha Bhatt
Warm friendly staff, got the special corn and coriander fritters... Although tasty, overall was a bit underwhelming and overpriced ... Would have loved it had it been more filling.... Iced mocha was delicious

Visiting Eeny Meeny is like going home. Food is fresh home cooked. Owner and staff treat you like family. Atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.
Tara Howlett
Strolled by late last week and hadn't seen this place before, what a surprise! l was greeted by a smiling server and invited to take a peek at the courtyard. Not intending to stay l indulged myself with a beautiful pot of herbal tea. With authentic bone china! Retro restrooms that had the wonderful Madonna adorning them! l shall be back! l was looked after by Keah (hope l got your name correct) a wonderful woman.

One of Frankston's hidden gems. I have been there over 20 times I think and I have enjoyed every single thing I have had there.

I work just up the road and being new to the Frankston area, this place has become my choice for my coffee fix and the place to go for lunch. Amazing food and staff. Love the relaxed atmosphere. Oh and the coffee is just perfect.
Joel Cardwell
Our regular haunt! Great friendly wait staff, attention to detail in cooking and presentation, varied but simple menu! I'd give it fifteen out of five if I could!
Tanya Cremen Imeri
Good wholesome food and a great coffee! Quaint little outdoor area with simple heating and crocheted blankets for the knees on extra cold days! Cauliflower and cheese tart was especially delicious!
Michael Cleary
My favourite little cafe in Funky town.... Great coffee, good food, beautiful staff

Love the friendly vibes this place gives out. As it’s located close to the Frankston train station , we popped by for a quick breakfast. The toasted banana bread was baked with coconut shavings (not my favourite). Preferences aside, I thought the banana bread wasn’t moist and flavourful and was actually quite tough! The coffee was slightly average but acceptable nonetheless. Overall an okay place for a quick breakfast (grab and go)
Iris Myandowski
It has breakfast. It has a view of the train station and an intersection. Cute little spoons. And that's about as much as I can say for this cafe.
Veena Balakrishnan
A small yet beautifully decorated cafe located near the Frankston business centre. The staff were friendly and the menu was quite innovative.
I had the sweet potato soup with cumin cream and toast and it was filling and yummy.
Kyrabeitans
Such a cute little place . Had a flat white and French toast and honestly the French toast was one of the best things I’ve ever tried ! Perfect balance of flavours so chocolatey and delicious! Staff were all so friendly ! Outback area is so peaceful and cute
Whenfoodsonpoint
yes, yes and yes.

This place was just what the doctor ordered! Went to visit my old mans work out in Frankston and stumbled across this absolute gem of a place!

Devoured the Pea fritters and the prawn roll, both were delicious! (photo attached) can't wait to see what this place dishes up in the future, because we will certainly be back!
Thomas Gordon
An unexpected joy. Amazing coffee, perfectly cooked bacon (hard to find!), light and delicious fritters and croque madame. I’ve never actually bothered to review, but for this place they deserve more accolades.
Abigail Pinto
A nice little spot in the heart of Frankston. We came in near to closing time, yet they were still very accommodating and friendly. I wasn’t a fan of the matcha latte (was a tad too strong), but the turmeric latte wasn’t bad. The meals are a bit heavy on the stomach, but definitely feel homely.
Gabrielle Cole
Atmosphere: Very nice! Although small, it’s lively and inviting!

Service: Brilliant service with smiley faces. Very quick too.

Food: Although simple, I had the ham and cheese toastie and it was the Bomb.

Coffee: They do a brilliant coffee in a cone. As if coffee wasn’t enough already, you get to eat a chocolatey waffle cone after! Coffee was a little bitter but that might have just been a one off.

Nay Nay
A nice little cafe located in Frankston and one of the only places where you can try a coffee in a cone. I ordered the waffles it was quite basic and also very sweet. Well cooked! The coffee was good
Abbey Kelly
Great food with excellent service, even at rush hour. The waffles are to die for! Come here often with friends and the atmospheres great particularly out in the courtyard. Will be coming back soon!!
Ivy Chan
The staff there were very friendly. Nice coffee in the morning. We had the corn fritter and big breakfast. Both were great except the bacon were overcooked...nearly charred... But still overall was not bad. Shall go again😋
Bun's Food Diaries
Nice little cafe with undercover courtyard and heating somewhat hidden out the back, toilets being onsite was a plus, good service. The corn fritters were nice, however I wasn't a fan of the zesty orange labne topping on the Belgium waffles, this was a bit too 'exciting' for a breakfast dish.
Rachelle Martin
The coffee was piss weak and the food I didn't even try cause it was all just generic stuff nothing really appealing about this place at all.
Wilbur
Favourite coffee shop in Frankston.
Great courtyard outside with rugs in winter.
Delicious fruit toast, croque Madame and French toast mhhhmmmm.
Wonderful staff who seem like a close knit bunch.
Will be back! Yum yum

Best cafe in Frankston - food is so tasty I always go back for more. Quality meals, things you can't/don't make at home, really tasty.

Yummy vegetarian and gluten free (coeliac friendly) options. The knowledge of chef and wait staff surrounding coeliac options is very reassuring and I'm always guaranteed a lovely meal without the contamination or long discussions I often have to enter into at other places.

Healthy and treat meals available and the coffee is delish.

The atmosphere is chilled, funky and relaxing. It's got its own style and not supposed to be like a chain-restaurant or boring run-of-the-mill cafe. It's retro and has great music and ambiance.

Great place for a social catch-up, meeting or lunch break. Me and my family/friends' fav place to eat out in Frangers :-)
Kirkweeden
Quirky little place offering some lovely brunch options. Eggs with dukkah was delightful. One of the best cafes in Frankston, although there isn't much competition really.
Ann
Not bad for some nice breakfast or brunch with family. The restaurant itself could do with some tlc and a facelift is well overdue (especially in the bathroom area) but the food and service here is good.

I've been visiting Eeny Meeny for over 12 months now and have never been disappointed. There are many cafes in the area to choose from but if you're a local looking for a regular cafe or just not happy with the consistency of coffee anywhere else (which was me), I would encourage you to give them a try.
Great food, relaxed environment, friendly staff and consistent coffee. I would highly recommend!
🍴☕️😀👍🏼
Trevor Gundy
Great food , well priced ,great coffee !!!! Always greeted with a smile ,one of my Frankston favourites! Only downfall is they are closed on mondays (my rdo) ☺
Peter Larter
Great spot. Had coffee and a cruffin and both delicious, probably best coffee in Frankston. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Recommended.
Warren Cooksley
Never had a bad experience here. Nice quiet cosy cafe with good coffee and even better food. A place i have returned to many times. These guys clearly have a passion for food
Emma Toulmin
Quaint cafe with friendly staff who make a very good coffee. We also tried their banana bread, tasted delicious and home-made. We'll be back again soon.
J.Wang
Reasonable prices, nice food, nothing fancy but did not disapoint. My soy latte was made well, i had poached eggs on toast with bacon, eggs cooked perfectly. Overall was happy with my feed
Ebony
Shocking wait time for two takeaway coffees - and without an apology. Real shame, as it's nice and close to the Sunday market. Would not recommend this place at all.

Went to Frankston for a short visit yesterday. Saw the review good rating of this place and we decided to come for lunch!
Glad that we came it was really yum!
We order a spinach and ricotta pie and Shaksuka.
Really tasty and love the combination.
Nice decor too. :)
Out And About
I stopped in here for lunch while out for work and was pleasantly surprised by this quaint little cafe (more quaint than hipster). The team here were polite, super fast and the meal of grilled mushroom, olive bread and halloumi was delicious (though not that healthy!).
Thanks to the team!
Tihara
Googled cafes in the area and so glad we did! The coffee is perfect ! Coffee art on top! The staff were friendly! We ordered 2 more latte's and the bacon and egg rolls on fresh bread from the local bakery ! It was delicious recommend it highly !! Will come back ! Beautiful backyard courtyard with cute little sparrows drinking from the fountain !

Probably the best cafe in Frankston.

Really comfortable and friendly vibe, with the outdoor dining area in particular having a nice feel to it, especially with the shade clothes. The customer service was excellent and everyone seems like they've been working there for a while and enjoy it.

The menu was small which is a welcome thing in my view, and the options available were all tempting. The specials looked great and there were some genuinely original ideas on there like the breakfast trifle. The prices were generally below standard Melbourne inner city prices too. Overall it was just a really enjoyable and welcoming place.

Coffee was great, food was great and service great. If you're around Frankston for breakfast look no further.
KimMarie
great coffee, great service, there is always something new and delicious on the menu, when it comes to sweets, if you like old fashioned favourites, you will find them here..

Eclectic eating in Frankston! Eeny Meeny is a hidden gem along Young St. Good sized portions, mouthwatering specials and friendly wait staff. Bills can be easily split. Eeny Meeny is a great spot for belly refueling in Frankston.
Tekah Kisharn
Great brunch place.
Could have had a few more options and there was a bit of a wait on meals.
The food was delicious though!
I had the pumpkin and goats cheese salad and my partner had the steak sandwhich
Came here on a Saturday morning for breakfast. Sat in the covered courtyard. Had a lovely coffee and chose a great breakfast - Persian eggs which were delicious. Highly recommend!
Kellie Lee
Not a bad cafe for a little place like Frankston, extremely friendly service and a cosy ambience. However, not many stand out choices on the menu as they offered the usual breakfast options. In the end we had opted for the roasted field mushrooms with haloumi, and the persian eggs. Both dishes were pleasant to eat and my eggs were full of flavour with a coating of dukkah, yum! I had ordered a soy chai latte too but this was way too sweet for my liking, however that's just a personal opinion as I'm more of a spicy chai person :) Overall an above average cafe with extremely friendly service

Me and my wife came here for lunch after spending the weekend in Frankston.. We where pleasantly surprised with this little gem, after reading reviews on this place we decided to head down.. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious. Very happy customers 😏
Kylie
Great little place, wish there was more like it in Frankston. Very reasonable prices. I had the best bacon & egg roll ever!! Cosy decor & good service too :)
Relle
Been wanting to visit this place for a long time so finally I did for some brunch. Cute comfy interior, staff were lovely. Ordered a coffee and some breakfast which was quick to arrive and fresh and tasty. Overall a big thumbs up :)
Hungry Vego
Great cafe. Sat in the courtyard (covered roof) and enjoyed arvo snacks. Friendly service, retro records decorations and mismatched crockery give a homely feel. Tasty food with gluten free and vegetarian options.
Jayde MacDonald
Very friendly service! Excellent food and coffee! Will most definitely be coming back :) Very accomodating to our newborn
Highly recommend!!
Trading Plates
From working in high end commercial kitchens, to now having set up a vintage café in Frankston, Trading Plates chats to Eeny Meeny’s Robbie Wright about all things retro food. The concept for Eeny Meeny is simple- a cute vintage café that takes people back to their childhood.
Rocketjacket
Very good service and atmosphere. Love getting a coffee here, the staff are always nice and polite. I hate coffee shops with pretentious staff, thank goodness they are not in this lovely cafe.
Geoff Bryant
Freekin awesome. Great atmosphere, great food, definitely recommend and will be back
Melbourne Epicurean Juror
Travelled to Eeny Meeny in Frankston for a nice brekkie. At a friends request I popped down to Frankston for brekkie & review Eeny Meeny this morning. I ordered something not on the menu "poached eggs & bacon on toast", the staff member was very obliging and for only $13, I felt truly great value. It was served steaming hot & cooked to my requested liking. Staff were very friendly, polite & helpful. The background music was just that, creating a relaxing ambience. I'll be back.

Phill Jury (food critic & writer)
Luke
Really lovely owners, great food and coffee.
Charmian Rice
I like this place despite not really being a fan of the coffee - it tends to be very weak and not flavoursome enough - however the overall atmosphere, quality of food and friendliness of staff make up for less than perfect coffee (for my taste) It is no doubt great for those who prefer a weaker brew.
Concerned
Lovely service and the place has a warm homely feel. The food however left much to be desired. Scrambled eggs were dry, Glutin Free bread was old and stale (assuming they don't sell much and was old stock) mushrooms were okay but not seasoned at all and were just warmed up in a pan. Coffee was burnt and bitter. Sadly won't be in a hurry to return here any time soon
Julia
In an unexpected spot is this funky little cafe with great food & service. Would definitely visit again...

Hidden Gem. Amazing food and great service...what more could you ask for

Cutest little cafe in such an unsuspected place!. Walked in thinking okay cute cafe looks nice then find theres a back area with a beautiful atmosphereI absolutely loved it. I had their soup which was gorgeous and they also had a big selection of emma and tom juices which got me happy! Have yet to try their coffee but will definitely be going back to try it. If you love a cute little cafe then this is for you.
Foodie1985
Love it!. Finally a cafe that serves fresh produce with flavour & doesn't over crowd the plate! Has been a very long time since I haven't had to add salt to my scrambled eggs!
Friendly service & amazing coffee to match.
Can't wait to go back!
Mark Robbins
Roasted Field Mushrooms and Haloumi. Had a full breakfast the other day and a loverly coffee nice place will be back.
Andrew
Gorgeous food made by gorgeous people.. This is my go to cafe for take away coffee in Frankston, and for the first time sat down for a lovely brunch. Food here overshadows anything nearby and of a very high standard. Atmosphere is great, and I loved the music playing in background. This is indeed a culinary oasis in Frankston.

Wonderful. I have had breakfast at Eeny Meeny twice now, and was impressed both times - first was the Croque Madame a few weeks ago, and today was the Persian Eggs. Both meals were delightful, care had been taken with the preparation and each was filling, without leaving one overstuffed. No complaints about the coffee either, a pleasant cup! The staff are easy-going and friendly - even when under the pump as they were this morning. Definitely making Eeny Meeny my local meeting place of choice!
Meagan
First visit after reading good reviews and it did not disappoint. These guys know what they're doing and they do it very well. Cute place, great service and good food. Tick tick tick.
Anne
Love love love.... coffee, cake or lunch. We have been to Eeny Meeny quite a few times; salads for lunch are amazing, coffee is great .. but our absolute favourite is the meringue with strawberries and cream. The owner and staff are always friendly... the backyard area is peaceful and relaxing. Always happy to go back!!
Alison Klett
I had lunch here about a week ago with my sister and a friend. The small garden out the back was a beautiful, peaceful haven after a long morning of sightseeing and driving. The food was delicious and the iced coffees were amazing. Service was also really good, we found the staff quite helpful. I would definitely return the next time I'm out this way. Really nice spot for a lunch date or a coffee.
Belinda Wrathall
Very happy with this little place. I had the eggs dukkah and really enjoyed it, lovely fluffy eggs, creamy fetta and crunchy dukkah.
Emily Pritchard
Dissapointing. I had the eggs with dakha (which was the only vegetarian breaky option), this was on my birthday, it was a big soggy, eggy, cheesy mess and it made me sad and kind of queezy. Worst birthday breaky ever.
C Kiev
Food is great, service is great. Coffee needs improvement

Perfect Brunch Bar. In Frankston for a wedding, we wanted a quaint little cafe with amazing food that decidedly was NOT just another greasy spoon. Using Urbanspoon to find this place we were so taken with the décor, service and food that we naturally returned for breakfast the following morning and recommended it to family who lived in the area. Between the three of us, over two mornings, we ordered half the menu and found everything beautifully prepared, delicious and substantial enough to see us through the rigours of wedding preparation.
Just wish we'd had room to try the cakes in the display cabinet.
Will definitely go back when we're next in the area.
Michael Delaney
Had our first visit for Btunch today, enjoyed the Bacon and Eggs, very friendly staff, will be back.

Cherry Polka Dot Bikini. If Eeny Meeny were a song, it would go something like this; 'she wore an incy wincy teeny wheeny cherry angel cake bikini!'

Like Doris Day, Eeny Meeny is sweet, sassy and makes one hell of a coffee! This saucy little calendar girl has wowed Frankston with dreamy Angel cakes, decadent brownies that'll leave you breathless and breakfasts to sing about!

Eeny Meeny is what happens when Donna Hay, Stephanie Alexander & the Jetsons (yes the cartoon) have a baby together. This is the secret you want to know about! Trust me, just don't take my seat!
Mgee
Impressive. Have been here for brekkie twice now and it's fast becoming a favourite.

really friendly, the coffee is great and the food is excellent and reasonably priced.

relaxed vibe, cute little courtyard out the back that is undercover

really can't fault it, will be back again and again, great to have something like this in frankston

Funky, retro decor with a nice courtyard area at the rear. Food was great, menu was a little more adventurous than the usual breakfast fare, which was a nice change to see down this way. I had the french toast with caramel & lime sauce yummo. Coffee was good, very friendly owners. I've found my new favourite local cafe!
Chica
Wonderful retro surroundings. Very hearty breaky and good coffee. Service was quick and friendly. Great vibe ... Could easily become a regular here
Bloke
The closure of Bartiste was a blow to the people of Frankston who want more than the maccas and jack Daniels experience. Eeny Meeny goes some distance in filling that void. They don't open nights or serve alcohol but they do good coffee and a great breakfast in a great retro setting with not a junkie in sight. Give it a go. The simple things in life are best. One to watch.
Prue Elyse
Fabulous service, great food, great coffee and extremely cheap!! Have found my favourite local brekky spot!!!
Nicci Foster
My very favourite in Frankston. Gorgeous, quirky decor, great atmosphere, wonderful staff, super tasty menu, amazing coffee and yummy homemade treats for afters.
Jenn Hicks
Love a cafe that serves its own cakes & slices! No generic mars bar cake to be found, instead yummy treats like cherry & pistachio cake. Great little courtyard out back too.
Rache C
Eeny Meeny is great for friendly service, great coffee and always a good breakfast. Cheapest breakfast in Frankston ($10.00 for eggs anyway and heaps of bacon with sourdough toast) and always cooked with love as though they were making it for themselves. Not the fanciest food, but great if you want a no fuss, quiet meal.
Jasfun
Favourite brunch item ever. Beautifully done7
CoffeeKat
Delightful little place with a cool retro vibe almost tucked away on Young St. Excellent coffee and tempting selection of tasty treats (the choc peanut butter brownie was phenomenal!) Lovely service, I look forward to trying their breakfast and lunch selections!
Urban Traveller
Hidden gem. I never get sick of this place. You can tell how great a place is when the owners actually work in the business. Absolutely love the food and love how the specials menu changes often. Always keeps me interested. Usually I can't be bothered writing reviews however cafes that keep me coming back deserve the thumbs up. Oh I forgot to mention the coffee. So consistent and yumm every time. Great to see a coffee cut through the milk and does not leave a bitter aftertaste. Great stuff guys
Sara
A little piece of St Kilda in Funkytown. Moving from Melbourne one of the biggest things I've missed is the cafe culture, particularly working from home. Just being able to walk down the street to a quaint little cafe and grab a coffee was a great break to my day.

Frankston surprised me on many levels - the gorgeous beach, divine little creek - however on the cafe culture side of things it lived up to its reputation. ie there is none.

However things seem to be changing - fast. I swear it was only a month ago that I lamented this void in Frankston's supposedly up-an-coming culture. But since then 2 places have popped up that are not about churning out bain-marie fried foods with a can of coke meal deal.

Eeny Meeny appears to be one of them. I have to confess I've only tried the coffee but it's a good start. Plus the menu looked interesting, appetizing and just like something I'd expect out of a Brunswick or St Kilda cafe. The fitout reminds me of The Galleon in St Kilda, the service was friendly (minus the St Kilda wank) and the courtyard out the back takes you away from the view of the train station.

Looking forward to visiting these guys again!
Mark Weatherley
Creative well worth it. Great combinations of food prepared with a real passion in an unexpected location. Great value for money will definitely be back.
Anthony
Impressive. This is the sort of place you would expect to find in the inner city. Quite impressive. Good service, good food.
Mr Potatoe Head
Awesome Coffee. Great coffe great food well done boys
Seaford Ed
What a great addition to Frankston. Good value, great quality food/coffee with brilliant service. And quirky decor.

Coffee with a friend. What a trendy place right in the CAA of Frankston City. The staff were very friendly and the coffee was hot and strong! Menu delightful! I recommend this place to you people out there that miss the inner city cafes - there is one right here in Frankston .... the courtyard out the back is lovely and peaceful and the funky chairs out the front on the pavement ... Gold Star Guys!
Coops
Great!. Tea came in a proper tea cup and saucer and the latte was lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Peter C
Sunday breakfast. Great feel this place. The vinyl tunes are a sweet touch. The food is creative and very nicely done. My only 2 issues are 1 : the coffee is a little hit and miss. 2 : the built in seat is torture to sit on even with the cushions. Still a good option though.
Firstmedical
Great little place. Had breakfast at this great place this morning - first time. . Beautiful food and coffee, friendly and fast service and fantastic decor. LIttle courtyard out the back which looked great with beautiful wall baskets etc - and I believe open Sunday morning so will be introducing my family to this little treasure.
Angela
Fun and funky. Great little cafe with a funky retro vibe. Cheerful, friendly staff, and the food is fantastic. A varied set menu with a good range of specials. Different cakes every day, all of them mouth watering! The 'Sunday puzzler' is a lot of fun. Overall, a great experience.

New best Cafe in Frankston. This new Cafe in Frankston really hits the spot, just what I've been looking for. Beautiful coffee, delicious food and friendly service.

My new Sunday brunch venue.
