The food was delicious, fresh and came out quickly and the staff were super friendly too! Would definitely visit here again and highly recommend!
Ate dinner here a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised.
Thought the meal was good and staff were pleasant. Quick service and not too noisy.
Would definitely go again.
I booked via zomato but it booked us into the wrong restaurant so had to book by phone. Anyway we went on Saturday night and found it to be efficient and quick. Started off with a selection of rice paper vegetarian rolls & mixed spring rolls which were accompanied by sauces & Vietnamese mint which goes beautifully with the food. We shared mains of mock duck for our vegan, crispy skin duck, sizzling beef, special fried rice & beef stir fry. All delicious and went well with lotus tea. The desserts were stuck in the 70's, pineapple & banana fritters, ice cream sundaes with peanuts haha. I had coconut ice cream which was light & refreshing. Overall very good value and quite cheap.
Weird restaurant but mostly good food. Didn't like the spring rolls much but rice was great
Staff didn't come to our table after seating us for 15 mins even though there was only 2 other tables with people on them.
Great service, fantastic food, great atmosphere. Highly recommend the banquet. For our family of 4 with teenagers there was plenty and it was delicious
I am a vegetarian and I am always looking for restaurants that cater to that so as soon as I saw the vegetarian menu I had to try, especially cause they've given mock meats a go!
The decor is gorgeous! A lot of people call it tacky but it really does make you feel happy about being out and not at boring old home. I have only ever gone on week nights so have yet to witness how they handle a busy Saturday night.
The service is OK, I didn't have too much trouble but agree with other reviewers that they could be a bit more attentive especially if they want more drink sales.
The menu is huge but most of it I had no idea what it was going to taste like so it is hard to decide, it would be nice if the waiters were interested in helping with pointing towards popular dishes.
I went with the satay mock duck with a side of rice noodles. It is hands down the best satay dish I have ever had, and the duck meat was of perfect texture I couldn't believe it. I do recommend getting a side of rice or noodles because the 'meat' and veggies won't be completely filling for most.
The drink prices are quite good as are the meals. I usually end up spending $20-25 for myself if I only get one drink. Overall I do suggest giving this place a go because if you select the correct meal you will be obsessed because their meals are of consistent quality!
I've been here many times and consider it a local favourite. It is a bit of a weird experience and when compared with the vietnamese on Victoria Street comes in second on both taste and price - but first for novelty. The decor looks like it was installed in 1973 directly over the that of a greek restaurant. Think tacky asian over vine leaf wrapped columns.
Food is good and the menu has an amazing 'vegetarian meats' section of which some is good and some to be avoided. Do NOT order the vegetarian abalone hotpot unless you're doing it out of interest - it is weird. As is the side salad - iceberg lettuce, curled carrot and chilli. Totally out of place on an asian plate (and be careful as you might be tricked into thinking the chilli is red capsicum. It's not).
I give this the high rating because I find dining here entertaining on so many levels. It can get busy, service is friendly but can be slow at times.
Nice Vietnamese food in Frankston. The staff are helpful and the food is delicious. I've visited Nha Trang multiple times and have never been disappointed, however, I think you do have to know what to order here. We order the spring rolls, the sugar prawns and get the Vietnamese pancakes if they're available!!!
The place is tacky inside, sometimes the waiter or waitresses struggle with their English but the food? The food Is divine!! By far the best place for Viet in Frankston. The food is always amazing, dine in or take away.
Another favourite of ours in Frankston, this Vietnamese food is absolutely delicious. We have eaten in Victoria Street Richmond too and this would be right up there with the best of them.
Yep sometimes the service is a bit slow, we don't let that bother us!
Return customers. We were introduced to this restaurant by friends who have been patrons for some time. Not our usual type of cuisine so we inspected the detailed menu for some time. We found the service very friendly but a little slow. when we received the food it was wonderful and went down a treat. We have been back several times since and would happily take friends of our own in confidence.
Nice restsurant. Good service. Had rice paper duck rolls for entree. Came out very quick. Then stir fried squid with vegetables. Enjoyed immensely. Service was quick and efficient. Will be back.
Great Experience. Had a lovely first visit to Nha Trang last week - great food and wonderful service. Just wanted to point out that the prices listed on their website are old/incorrect, for most of the mains add $3-$5 on to the price of each meat as a guide. Nonetheless, great value for money and a very enjoyable time...will definitely return!
Nha Trang Vietnamese Restaurant - Spring Rolls & Fried Egg Noodles & Coconut Prawns. Great dinner value $66 for 3 people - had the Spring Rolls, Fried Egg Noodles with Chicken and Coconut Prawns.
The drawback for the Spring Rolls is that they don't have enough lettuce to go with the Spring Rolls.
Overall, all three dishes were delicious. We will come back again.
Get the Vietnamese coleslaw. I've eaten here a few times and found the dishes can be hit and miss - eg I love the Vietnamese coleslaw - so much flavour and really fresh light ingredients - I will go back to the restaurant many times just for this dish! On the other hand their salt and pepper tofu was very disappointing - tough and dry tofu with almost no flavour. So my advice is to try a variety of dishes and don't expect it to be like eating out in Springvale.
So good. My parents have been taking me since I was younger and now my husband and I go and it is still just as good! I love it! The service can be very slow. but it is always busy and it's worth the wait.
Ate there 18 April. Welcoming atmosphere. Friendly and helpful waiting staff. Prompt service. Food excellent, and waiter helped us to decide. Prices very reasonable. Will definitely go back. Helpful with our young granddaughter.
Service was excellent and the nha trang soup is so delicious. It's not highbrow but you always get a good meal.
Pretty Reliable. Good food, good service. We come here a lot. Usually has consistently tasty meals but occasionally we will get something that has been done differently to the way we were used to. Asked if there was a new chef once because the meal was not as good as usual and was told that the Aunty who made the sauce had not done it this time. So get back to making that tasty sauce, Aunty!
Yum! I recommend if you are there with a group to order a few mains, an share. I tried a little of each from five mains and enjoyed them all. Good service from staff as well.
Nha Trang fish soup AMAZING! Was so impressed! My stomach is so satisfied, but I can't wait to eat here again!!!! Take Away menu is cheaper so will even be perfect for a romantic night in with some wine! Must try!
Me and my girlfriend were here about a week ago. Very friendly and efficient service. Excellent food and very tasty.
Deffinetly recommend two mains they were awesome!!!! The lemongrass chicken with squid or chicken was lovely and the duck with plum sauce and coconut rice!!!
Have recommended this place to all friends and family. Will be back for sure
Like an old holden. Just good decent, always reliable Vietnamese place for dinner. Service is efficient, prices good. Hard to fault really.
Great Food and Friendly Service as well as Value for Money.
Food is good, very fresh. Very gaudy decor, watch out the the flashing coconut palm! But the food is good
Love this place!. This place is amazing! The food is delish, especially the rice paper rolls and the sizzling plate!!! Great service and great vibe!
Slow service but amazing food
Loved the set up and service, friendly staff. Food not authentic Vietnamese but very close, yummy all the same
'Truly a great restaurant'. I went out on a Friday night for my girlfriends birthday dinner to Nha Trang. When we arrived we were placed at the front of the restaurant right near the entrance and when the door opened we could definitely feel the cold. When we ordered the food we were greeting by a friendly waiter who apologized for the lack of chopsticks at the table. We didn't have to wait long for the appetizer which went down a treat. When our mains arrived we were quite impressed by the presentation of my main which was the 'Traditional Vietnamese curry'. Both dishes were great quality and really filled both of us up and so we didn't feel the need to order any deserts. It was truly a great restaurant and I would recommend in to couples.
+ Great quality food
+ Impressive presentation
+ Large drink sizes
+ Happy and friendly staff
- Positioned at front and therefore cold
- No splitting the bill
- Unable to bring me chopsticks when requested
9/10
I have been to Nha Trang a number of times with family and friends. Every time I go there the food is always excellent and the service is also good. If I have one thing to say against the resterant is the last few times I've been there, the card fpos machine doesn't work..
Dined here last. Food was excellent, probably the best Vietnamese I've had. Unfortunately the service was a shambles... We were seated and 15 minutes on no drink orders taken and we had to seek out the waiter to place our orders. The food was delicious when it did arrive which was in dribs and drabs. After waiting 25 minutes and still no mains, we had to settle the bill as we had a show to go to. Entrees were tasty and fresh and highly recommend the rice paper rolls. If they could get their service right it would have been awesome...
Highly recommend. This place was buzzing with families and friends enjoying the food and relaxed atmosphere.and service was good considering the place was packed. Started with spring rolls we wrapped with lettuce and two types of mint yum...main was a curry fish very tasty small serves but this left room for dessert...dessert menu was limited to banana fritter or ice cream...ordered the fritter and it was the second best banana fritter I ever had!! Left feeling content and not overfed...walked past the indian restaurant next door and it was absolutely empty.
Would definitely agree with the hit and miss. still happy but service was poor and food only comes out in dribs and drabs
More hits!. Love the kitschy décor! I have always had really great food here - once I've had an ordinary meal, but this was bland rather than awful. But that one strike is after many thoroughly awesome meals. The rice paper and spring rolls are really good - for mains my favourites would have to be the lemongrass chicken and tamarind pork. I love that you get crispy rolls with the jungle curry. We'll definitely be returning (hopefully without any other misses!).
Surprisingly good. I did not expect much from a Vietnamese restaurant in Frankston, but was pleasantly surprised with Nha Trang. The decor is kind of tacky, but the service and the food is well worth the visit. Recommended.
Surprising. I've read the other reviews of Nha Trang, and agree that sometimes the dish quality can vary but in the main our experience has been that it is excellent, so good in fact that most of the dishes we've tried from here are as good as (probably better than) any Vietnamese we've eaten in Melbourne and better than some we ate in Vietnam. Rice paper rolls are lovely, chicken curry good, BBQ beef excellent and the Vegetarian coleslaw beautiful.
Great food and service. Lots to choose from on the menu and the steamboat is a great way to feed a family cheaply
Rice paper rolls are to die for. Entrees are the highlights. Pick your mains carefully & the curly red things are NOT radishes!
This place is my favourite restaurant in Australia, it cannot be topped. The decorations are top tier, food fantastic & staff always so nice. I go here ~once a week. There is not a single other place that can top Nha Trang (Frankston) - not the place in Vietnam.
My recommendation: satay vegetarian layer pork
I only like to eat Vietnamese occasionally ,but they definitely have a great selection to choose from ,my meal was average but that's because I was not familiar with the food
This a great Vietnamese restaurant. You should go here! The staff were very helpful, polite and attentive. The restaurant looks great, they've gone to great detail to decorate the space and really give it an atmosphere. The dishes we tried were really great, fresh and hot and brought out quickly. The menu is extensive and everything sounded good. We will be back to try other things for sure.
Thanks a lot 👍
The food was amazing! So many vegetarian options and the mock meat tasted so real!
Service was great and very friendly staff.
Great pricing for food and drinks too.
wonderful restaurant, absolutely beautifully decorated and always super clean. the food was delicious and i would definitely come back again! service was so friendly and quick. :)
Staff were great and for vegetarians there are amazing options. Something I don't experience too often going out to eat. It was also very fairly priced!
