Terrific service, comfortable spacious seating and really nice dishes.We were served by a lady called Ruby who was super friendly and attentive. Genuinely checking if we needed anything and how we were enjoying our meal . She wasn't just going through the process.Polenta chips were truly wonderful. The Gnocchi Arribiatta were spot on , and the special of the day Prawn sliders were innovative and delightful. I rarely give a 5/5 but on this day it was well deserved and ill be back with friends to explore more of their menu.
Dennys kitchen has a cosy ambience and the staff really make you feel like you’re a part of the family. Our waitress was very helpful and even spoke to the chef to adjust a menu item to fit a food allergy which was really appreciated. The gnocchi was one of the best I have ever had, the wood fired pizza was delicious and it was obvious that fresh ingredients are used. Wait time was short, drinks were well mixed and everything was well priced. Would recommend anyone in Geelong check out this restaurant for a relaxed, delicious and inexpensive meal.
Denny's Italian food located in the national wool museum, Geelong. Spacious with very relaxed vibes. Free wifi. The barramundi, calamari and salad tasted fresh enough and was overall enjoyable.

Had lunch at 11:50 am here today & chose their Ravioli (fresh pasta filled with spinach & ricotta, sautéed with mushroom, asparagus & watercress) at $22. Seriously it was just okay, flavour was nice but it lacked something to make it a little more moist on the palate. Service provision was great by Deb the waitress who I found to be polite, attentive and efficient. The ambiance was one of a busy venue with the background music at a level that could be heard over although as the eatery became busier around 12:30 pm onwards the music could hardly be heard.

Staff were chipper all night which is very refreshing in the Geelong hospitality industry. They knew the menu and offered good advice. The gnocchi was amazing! Will be back for sure.
Have visited Dennys a few times for family catch-up lunches, and I'm really impressed.
Nice Italian food, but interesting too. The pizzas are pretty straightforward, but very tasty. The dishes are not enormous amounts of food, but made with fresh and tasty ingredients, they are certainly reasonable value.
The staff are very good, friendly and attentive without being too overbearing.
For something a bit different, try the polenta chips and the insalata di tonno, it will turn even the most devout carnivores.
Pizzas were great. Thin crust, wood fired, authentic. Serving sizes are not huge but they are satisfying. Excellent atmosphere. Will certainly come back.
We had a ripper of a Saturday night at this place after travelling up from Melbs. All dishes, service and pricing were flawless and easily 5 stars. The only gripe I had was the music (bass in particular) coming through the floor / walls / ceiling, wherever from the club next door / downstairs? Really thumping and headache inducing man. I'm not some old bloke either but definitely like to keep my good food and conversation separate from my doofs. Not sure what can be done to fix but just stating the facts on that one.
More places like this please.. Denny's kitchen is super. Delicious, fresh, uncomplicated food and really good value. Best option is to share the small plates. They aren't small and they're delicious. Our favourite place in GTown.
The return of a favourite.. Thank you Black Sheep for the Chicken Saltimbocca a very tasty dish.It is hard these days to find a traditional Veal Saltimbocca this is the next best thing.Very friendly staff.All the courses were fine.The décor is a little barn-like but I guess an old Wool Store is going to be like that.
Culinary gem in Geelong. Accommodated our booking of 4 at the last minute. Every meal order was spot on. The mushroom ravioli was devine! The fish of the day was fantastic and the schnitzel very well received. Also did not take ages for the food to come out. Well done!!
My boys loved their first time dinning at Black Sheep. Celebrated my son's birthday, they will definitely go back! I've been a few times and look forward to going back again soon. The meals, desserts and cocktails are to die for, and excellent service. Perfection!!!! 🍸🍹🥂😋😋😋👍👌

Best service and best food all around Victoria. We’ve been here more than a couple times already and it always exceeded our expectations. Wait staff is nice and friendly, especially Will who’s got an excellent memory and makes sure you’re treated special. Food is even better, a superb goulash so close to the original and that mushroom sauce to die for. We’ll need that recipe Norbert! Great chef. Thank you all for being great! Hope to come back soon.
Everything is perfect! Amazing food, comfortable seating, relaxing environment and staff who smile easily and show they love their job.
We had the chefs menu which was absolutely amazing.
A substantial size lightly fried calamari entrees, super tender, melt in your mouth calli.
An entire ham hock for mains that was pull apart and succulent on th3 inside whilst lightly crackled and crisped on the outer.
For dessert was a lemon curd tart, not to bitter not too sweet and with a pastry crust the just melts in your mouth.
And I haven't even started on their amazing range of gins, cocktails, mocktails and so much more.

We loved it so much, we are going back today for lunch with the whole family.
Myself and my partner visited on 18/6/2022 and having no prior knowledge of the restaurant we were blown away from start to finish. The menu seems to have something for everyone and we chose the 'Feed Me' banquet which was a wonderful 3 courses. Stand out were the Calamari and the Roast Chicken. The contemporary menu designed alongside the Gin focused signature cocktails is very affordable and a great spot for an economical but special date night. The art-deco come traditional wool shed decor provides an in season look that captures the eye. A spot worth going out of your way for.
Staff was super friendly with exceptional service. The chicken schnitzel, I didn’t expect it’s just a piece of chicken schnitzel by itself (at least with some sauce or dressing?). Fish and pork belly were fine.
Gin tasting paddle was alright with good explanation.
But overall the whole night made me feel like the gin is the main character, foods were just decoration in addition to the drinks 😅
