“Get ready to be blown away” First time eating in a Greek restaurant and we just LOVE it! The portion is just generous. The flavours marvellous. Definitely will return for more with more people to share it with ❤️ Ah! Also the staff are amazing! Definitely a place to keep coming to. #bulgogi_n_rendang

Amazing food! Surprised my partner by going here as a treat after his continues complaining on how we only manage to find average dinners together. He was shook with how good the food was, reminded him of when he use to live overseas. Snapper was to die for, happy smiling owners, perfect atmosphere, can’t wait to see the new store open! Definitely will be coming back :))

We wanted to have a good hearty meal when we are at Geelong. A good Greek meal was what we craved and Mavs didn't disappoint us. A good lovely staff who was always happy to suggest. We decided to try local Greek dish along with our regular favourite Souvalki. The slow cooked lamb shoulder was perfectly cooked with meat falling off in harmony. It was good size too. Souvalki with its tzatziki n pit bread was awesome too. Highly recommend this place for both food and its service.

Staff were great, very welcoming. Prices were adequate, the size of the dishes were pretty big. We went in a group of 4. We loved the greek oysters, very tasty!... but other seafood from the menu were just ok (saganaki seafood and seafood pasta): too much tomato sauce for our taste, covering all of the other flavours. Traditional meats like the biftekia and especially the kleftiko: wooow! The lamb was soooo tender and so flavourful and juicy!

Had a beautiful tasty lunch at Mavs today. Friendly service .Tasty greek food the grilled calamari beautifully presented.The succulent lamb gyro was delicious and reasonably priced worth a visit .

Yesterday I had lunch with my friends and ordered a Seafood Platter. I shared it with my partner and we were so full at the end, we struggled to finish it BUT it was so fresh, we did not leave anything on the plate. Service was outstanding and We tried an Greek wine which to my surprise was outstanding. Highly recommended!!!! I will try the Meat Platter next time..........

I would give minus if I could. It would have been fine, nothing special, but fine, if the manager acted with any sense of decorum. We ordered the salmon, pork and snapper with tzatziki to start. The tzatziki could have come from the supermarket, nothing special at all. The salmon was over cooked. The pork was nice, mostly due to the fig. The snapper was however over cooked to such an extent that it was dry and had no flavour, I spoke to what turns out was the manager at the time and handed him my plate and explained extremely clearly that while the sides where fine the snapper was severely over cooked. He took the plate and never said anything, then when the bill came I disagreed with paying full price for over cooked snapper he became belligerent. I generally refuse to believe racist stereotypes that Greeks are argumentative but this man was determined to embarrass himself and ensure that not only our party but those seated at tables around us would never return due to his aggression and refusal to take responsibility for the food. All in all what could have been a mediocre meal with lovely service turned into a horrible meal due to the attitude and behavior of this apparent manager. As an aside, he only offered to reduce the bill by $10 if we didn’t leave a bad review.

well i'll start off by thanking all of the people who have left such poor reviews for mav's... clearly your "constructive criticism" has been well received by the team... kylie and i had nothing but exceptional service and an awesome meal... for us to have a share plate that we couldn't finish is a little unheard of... i ate, i ate... then i ate some more but couldn't get through it... delicious tucker... to be honest i did get the feeling the bad reviews were weighing both on the owner/manager and his staff... who were always quick to make sure everything was ok every time i looked around (was honestly only catching my breath before digging back in)... conclusion is, don't be put off by a few reviews that aren't favourable... we loved mav's and would recommend it to friends....

Absolute BEST seafood platter I have ever seen. It’s worth visiting Geelong, just to eat at this restaurant! Amazing service, great wine, lovely atmosphere and the freshest most delicious food! 10/10 ����

First time last night for a date night with hubby and wow! Service was amazing, always making sure we were looked after, food was delicious, size of meals were huge and couldn't finish the mains. Restaurant staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable! Highly recommend this restaurant �. Keep up the great service and food guys!

We enjoyed a great evening out with friends sharing the banquet. The food was so tasty and more than enough for all of us. We could not have had better service, attentive without being "in your face". I'd highly recommend Mav's for a very enjoyable place to eat.

The food was outstanding but my Mojito was clearly NOT a Mojito. Lemon instead of lime, no mint. Just ice (like service station bag ice) and rum. Not at all worth $17. I felt a little duped.

Yes just ok... the meal was late... about 40 minutes, the meal was cold for one dish , they did take it off the bill and the salad was good, otherwise I would say it was just average.... won’t be going back or recommending to others

1st time there this evening, with my Husband. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Being Valentines' Day, it was rather busy- but the staff were ever so attentive and the service was excellent!I I Highly recommend this place.. thank you!

I came here for dinner with friends some nights ago, and had a wonderful evening. The manager was very attentive and our meals came surprisingly quickly. The food was delicious, and the portions were great as well. We had a sharing plate amongst three of us, and we even had some left in the end. Hope to be coming back soon for more.

Had a beautiful lunch and enjoyed greek wines with my best friend today at your lovely restaurant. The food was amazing. Would love a bit of warmth put into the place as it felt very cold with the concrete floors and lots of tiles and rendered walls. Some material chairs table clothes could soften it up and soft curtains. But apart from that ill defiantly be back with my family as the food and service was 10 out of 10. the manager was very hospitable and friendly and helped us understand the menu.

As an ex chef and ex manager of a restaurant I generally don't like to complain but my party of 6 had one of the worst meals I have ever had!!!!!!! 1 of my friends had a dead moth in her salad both our moussaka were served cold and $29 for barely a salad and a slice of cold moussaka plus $7 for chips, my sister's chicken for her souvlaki was not cooked we were told we would be compensated and they only took off 1 moussaka in the end we also refused to pay for the raw chicken but still a $300 Bill when only 1 of us actually finished the meal! I will not be back nor will I recommend. Only saving Grace was our waitress who was lovely and apologetic. In summary extremly over priced lack lustre food!

The food and service amazing always been to mavs a few times now and they never fail to impress !! A++++

Honestly the best meal I've had in Geelong. Great customer service and absolutely amazing food. Will definitely be back!

God the manager was awful to his staff. Yelling at them while he sat and gorged himself. Disgraceful. The poor staff looked miserable.
