Review Valley Inn Hotel - Geelong

Wow! This place is definitely worth a visit for Sunday lunch. 18 meals and every single one was perfect! All the food came out together, no one was waiting for their meal. Ollie was our waiter and he was fantastic. Plates and glasses were cleared without a fuss. I am so full! Cannot speak more highly of this bistro. So, if you want a decent place to have a function, the Sunday lunch kitchen crew are amazing. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I take our grandson for dinner every Thursday. The staff are exceptional and just so friendly and welcoming. Keeley is a pure delight. We often have our family get togethers here as we find its child friendly and such a happy vibe and the meals are always delicious.

Staff are always friendly. Meals have been consistently enjoyable. We always elect to sit in the bar but they have a dining area. They have pokies. Toilets are always clean.

Had a lovely lunch. Chicken schnitzel was delicious. Great service,and value for money. Had a great time Definitely recommend

Great meal decent portion ,variety on the menu something for everyone food cooked just great and staff very friendly ,and cold beer ,telly to watch the footy what more can one want will be going again soon

Another excellent meal at The Valley. Had a great roast lunch with a beautiful glass of Merlot, good service from Ruby and Ollie.

Love the venue and the staff. But this time wasn't really happy with my seafood risotto they put to much Parmesan cheese on the top, which over took the meal. Would of been better to put it into a bowl so you can put it on the meal yourself.

Nice reno's on the old Valley Inn indeed. Went in for a feed tonight, can't fault it at any point. Ordered and got a pint, was maybe half way through it when the food arrived, great turn around from order to eating. Got a Parmi with Garlic Sauce on the side (no, really, make sure you order the Garlic Sauce. A friend recommended the Valley Inn on the back of it and it did not disappoint!). Generous portions, piping hot, reasonable price, friendly bar and wait staff. I've seen a couple of "not the best sports bar" and i can understand the complaint, but if your after that sort of sports pub i'd be recommending Sporting Globe. 5/5, would recommend.

Love the new refurb! Just called in for a drink to check it out, was a bit surprised there was no light beer on tap and disappointed the only cider on tap is Mercury (Bulmers is so much better) :( I had planned to come back for a meal after checking out the menu, I didn't think the prices were too bad but I didn't realise that salads and vegies were extra, that puts a bit of a dampner on it, shame they're trying to make an upmarket restaurant out of a pub, probably explains why there's ever only a handful of people in there :(

The place looks awesome!! Well done!! Great menu and at great prices!!! And the beer well let's just say it's the coldest & best beer I've tasted in a while!!! Well definitely be regulars there for lunch and a few drinks!!! Keep up the great work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great service, fantastic meals. They even looked after the little ones giving them colouring books and pencils while we waited for our meals which wasn't a long wait. Highly recommend and will be back.

I would highly recommend the new Valley Inn. We went for lunch yesterday and were very impressed with the new renos` and the new menu. Lunch was very good and reasonably priced. Will be back.....Good Luck :) :) :) AAAA+++++

What a great meal we had Cheesy Garlic Bread Lamb Cutlets Mixed Grill Steak&Kidney Pie Chicken Kiev and kids Snag&Mash... Everything was hot fresh and yummy. Staff were friendly knowledgable and service was prompt and efficient.

Terrific food and service , been a few times since the new renovations, very nice friendly relaxed atmosphere, plenty of variety on the menu and all good quality food .

A little bit dissappointed that no salad came with our main meals meals but when we ordered entree calamari I came with a side salad, shouldn't a main have the salad not the entree? Also there was way too much garlic sauce for one person, I would hate to think what wastage there would be in the kitchen, but overall the food was nice �

Great refurbishment of the Valley Inn. Food is fantastic, staff great and the new beer system is very impressive. Will be back!

I would highly recommend the Garlic Prawns and Expresso Martinis, good size serves, great value and friendly service.

Wish I could rate this place less than 1 star. I used to love coming to the valley inn with my family on a monthly basis HOWEVER the food quality is now disgusting and inedible compared to what it was months ago... <br/><br/>On many occasions, on the Wednesdays night we used to attend the valley inn for dinner. An older man looking about 60 years old standing around the kitchen looking like the manager or boss constantly walking around serving food to tables in thongs/sandals and board shorts. DISGRACEFUL. <br/><br/>The staff working in the restaurant were all lovely and seemed under so much pressure constantly which would not surprise me from someone who thinks its acceptable to run a pub wearing thongs and board shorts. Also, on occasion, a manager whom resembles a sad old lady whom I only ever saw in two outfits was always rude and mean to the staff and to customers. She would also deliver food to my family and dump the food on the table, turn her nose up and then walk away. Nothing but rude. <br/><br/>Surely you should get both chips and salad included in a meal and not having to pay an additional salad on top of an already overpriced meals. <br/><br/>I feel nothing but sorry for the young girls whom are staff at this establishment. Poor management and poor food needs to be improved. My husband is a chief and was thinking of applying for the head chief position at the valley months ago for 90-110k a year. FOR THAT MUCH MONEY YOU WOULD EXPECT MORE THAN A LUKEWARM MICROWAVE HEATED MEAL THAT HAD SOME TASTE. again, DISGRACEFUL.

The service was excellent and the venue is beautiful. The beef vindaloo was very tasty the rice had big lumps through it though. The Flat Head was dry and the salad only consisted of lettuce with no dressing. Overall was ok and yes I would come back

Food and service good, noisy, lighting very bright exposed globes modern but needs mood switch, multitude of tv's, must like football, pokies room.

Love this place! Been going here for years! Great customer service and tasty food. Plus the prices are decent and the portion sizes are massive!

This old style pub is one of the best I've been to.The food is Great and served well. One dish I recommend is the Super Mixed Grill.I think any fans of mixed grills will love this.Served with Egg,Steak,Bacon,Hamsteak,veg and I think more you have gotta try this.I love this place and think that everyone in Geelong have got to go here. ;)

Went to the Valley before the Geelong Sydney game, food was nice and the frothies were cold. Would recommend for good pub grub. They did have a limited footy menu on the day<br/>

Gone down hill!!. One meal given to the wrong table, one overcooked to a crisp and the other very undercooked. If your thinking of a meal here do yourself a favor and visit any other pub in the area

Great value for money!!. Been here a few times. Hubbies favourite is lamb shanks and parmi.. I've had the prawns and kids spag was very tasty. A little dated and prices went up not that long ago but overall great value for money...

Food addict. This Pub has the best counter meals ever. Hubby always has the Lamb Shanks<br/>I try something different most times and i love the Vics Pies the pepper one is best x

Can always count on a good pub meal here.. good for the family and even better for the dad who likes to punt while tucking in to an $11 parmy .. also love the old school slice of buttered white bread with every meal :D

Mensday Evening at The Valley Inn. The 3rd edition of Mensday Evening ventured to The Valley Inn for a chin wag, few pots and a feed. It was a busy night in; given the grand final of a local pool competition, which meant that the meals took a little while to present. This wasn't an issue though as the staff had thoughtfully posted a sign a the counter advising that meals would be around 40 mins - but to our surprise were only 30. Steaks were the food of choice and could only be described as spot on. The half slice of bread on the side was the toast of the evening and something that is sorely missed from good pub grub. <br/>For punters, the venue would be high on the list of must go hotels in Geetroit, but for eating, we would have preferred not to have sat below the Bendigo dogs.<br/>Vibe 6.5/10 <br/>Meal 8.5/10<br/>See you next Mensday.
