Raj’s is a great place for a quick and inexpensive breakfast. I personally haven’t tried anything else on the menu besides the egg and bacon roll because it’s my favourite. Also if you don’t get a drink you usually get a free juice with your meal.
Raj is the best! Affordable food and large servings, always friendly service, love coming here 😊 if you’re after a fancy and expensive meal it’s not for you
The food here was amazing! Such big servings! We got a free juice with our meals too!
The staff were very friendly. The only downside is how small this place is. Whilst we were there many people were turned down because there was no room. Would recommend making a booking, if this place was any bigger i would definitely go back, but its quite claustrophobic in there!
If you're after a cheap feed with good simple food in the area, you can't go too far wrong with Raj's.
Okay, so it's not a huge place, so seating is pretty limited on busy days, and the food isn't the highest quality (bacon's a bit chewy, sausages aren't that great, etc.) you'll find anywhere, and Mr. Fancypants who wants three types of free-trade cheese on their croissant might be a bit taken about.. But know what? That's fine.
You get exactly what you ask for, the prices are very reasonable, and overall, it's a pretty great place for breakfast or lunch Definitely recommend.
Raj is the best, working to feed the people and not out to overcharge. Raj has a great story, worked in some interesting kitchens now has his own honest little place. If you haven't been to Raj's and you like a larger breakfast you have been missing out! We have been many times and only for breakfast. It is only small and don't be surprised if you have to wait for a table. It is no frills, small cafe style with basic tables and chairs. I'm also told it is perfect for the morning after a big night. Raj serves all the bacon and egg type classics, no one said it was the healthiest, fat free place and will accommodate changes (to make it healthier), but be warned it usually is a large serve and unnaturally under priced. Small eaters could easily share. Staff are friendly. Car parking is available on the street or there is a car park over the road and down a little. Go there hungry. We will be back next week, enjoy.
Amazing fresh delicious food for ridiculously cheap and with a few juice with every meal (for breakfast anyway). Ordered Four meals with my boyfriend two mornings in a row and was not disappointed. Staff service is poor but the food and price makes up for it.
We were recommended Raj's by a couple of people and were definitely not disappointed. Huge servings, tasty food and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend stopping in, I know we will certainly be back.
The first thing that hit me was the comically-large portions. The food here is excellent value for money. The massive The Lot Burger (beef patty, 2 eggs, beetroot, pineapple, bacon and lettuce) was only $10 and included a side of chips, which my partner could only finish half of. I got the Raj's Mixed Grill for $15 which included a slab of steak (albeit a bit on the thin side), 3 sausages, 3 eggs, 3 slices of bacon and a side of chips. Needless to say, we couldn't finish it all. So, be prepared to be stuffed full or share a single dish between 2 people.
The food was good but I wouldn't say that it's amazing. Everything was fresh and tasted good but the beef patty was a bit dry and crumbly while the sausage was too salty.
As for the atmosphere of the place, it could really be improved. The decor is pretty dark and could use some light and colours to spruce up the place. The tables were clean, at least.
Rajs is like my safe haven. It's nothing to fancy just simple and sweet. I always get "bacon and eggs" for $11.50 and it comes with bacon and eggs cooked to your liking, hash browns, a tomato on toast and a juice of your choice.
Some times the waiting period could be a tiny bit long however it's so worth the wait, all I can say is it's definitely value for your money, service is fine not great but nothing worth complaining about. However it's basic food cooked well.
I went on melbourne cup day and it seemed it was one of the only places open on pako, so it was super busy. Great food, ok coffee but my meal and coffee cost 15 dollars! My focaccia was chicken, pesto and avo and came with wedges and it tasted great! Thankyou!!! (Great friendly staff too)
Amazing food, service and value. I only wish they weren't so far away from home or I would be there every day. Perfect for a big breakfast with the family.
My first time here as we are just passing through Geelong and I must say, a very good hearty meal at such reasonable prices. Even came with complimentary juice which I thought was so rare and nice of them. 2 thumbs up!
This is my absolute favourite place to go for breakfast! The food is simple and consistently delicious. The poached eggs always have a nice runny yolk and the service is always fast and friendly. You can eat for less than $10 and they often throw in a bottle of complimentary juice! I definitely reccomend eating breakfast here.
I've come here for lunch the past two days and I've got to say that this place is great! $12.50 for the hangover breakfast, which comes out quick, tastes amazing, and would be $25 in any other pako cafe. Absolutely should come for breakfast.
Lovely staff and great breakfast. Never had a bad experience here! Saturday mornings can be a little busy, best call ahead for a reservation to avoid missing out!
Delicious breakfast, huge serving at a great price. Complimentary juice and bottled water included. Will be back!
Phenomenal breakfast at a phenomenal price (Eggs Benedict and Hot Chocolate $16.50)
Great service and delicious food. Even gave us orange juice on the house.
