Great food and great Bourbon. Lads behind the bar were helpful and accommodating but the waitress was obviously not enjoying herself. Clearly didn’t want anyone in the venue, maybe just an off day. Didn’t ruin the night though. Great place. Cheers!
Wonderful array of slow cooked meats, spicy sauces and tasty slaws. Plenty of crafty beers, and not forgetting the Coopers ales on tap! You will see me again!
Got to be one of my favourite places to go out to in Geelong. Great food, friendly staff, local owners and located in one of the best districts in the city.
Great restaurant with delicious house smoked traditional American barbecue. Go with a group so you can try everything! Good for families too, kids loved the sharing trays.
I have been to this venue at least a dozen times for lunch or dinner plus a few other times for a cheeky drink or two. Erin, Steve and the rest of the team put on an amazing feast and always have the best atmosphere. Whether it's it's the intimate setting for a live band, a delicious meal or just a quick drink your trip to Workers Club is guaranteed to be the best experience you can have. I'll be back whenever I'm in Geelong.
he Worker’s Club Geelong is the southern outpost of the popular Fitzroy live music venue, and brings much of the same to Geelong, albeit with a local twist. Located in a former auction house, the building has been stripped back to it bones to reveal exposed brick walls and wooden rafters.

Have now been here 4 times and will definitely be back again. Heaps of food is gluten free, and meat is simply amazing.
The bar also has a great range and both Steve and Erin (staff behind bar) are both very knowledgeable and we're big helps when trying to choose what to eat and what to drink.
I simply lov this place and will definitely be back again.

Very cool, chic bar in the laneway off Lt Malop St. Food was yummy - we had 2 assorted platters full of brisket, ribs, pulled pork, scotched eggs, etc. Loved it all apart from the ribs - I'd pass on them next time. Service was excellent. Will definitely return.
What an absolute feast! Everything was done to perfection beautifully cooked meats, crispy french fries and the broccoli with cheese sauce the icing on the cake to the ultimate comfort food binge. Service was quick and staff helpful and attentive. Highly recommended if you are coming to watch a band or not! The eatery is sectioned off from gig room so you will still be able to hold a conversation (without getting a sore throat from screaming at one another) once the band has started.
Came here after this years beer festival. Three blokes on a weekend away from the wife and kids, what are you going to eat! American Style BBQ that's what!
I have tried a few of these places over the past couple of years and this is one of the best! Definitely worth the effort of coming to Geelong to give it a try! You won't be disappointed.
Such a great venue for live music. Attended the 2019 Ska Nation festival here and was really worth the travel to Geelong. Food is good, along with nice comfortable bench seating, conveniently located outside of the band room. Really enjoy going to this venue for gigs.🍺

Been a while since I had eaten here,had to book as it's a popular place with great food,wasn't dissapointed with the food or size,great value..pretty sure they cook with love as the pulled pork was so tender,& the chicken breast just right,the slaw had a bit of bite/tang that went well with the pork.will be going back for more :) friendly staff just to top it off..
Great outdoor seating with shade, perfect with children as they could practice golf out the front and play at the playground after dinner, great burgers my fav was the cheeseburger and fabulous coffee. Definitely recommended.
Fantastic atmosphere, I went with a group to see a friend of ours perform at one of the bars solo sessions.
The operators should give themselves a pat on the back for creating a venue that supports local up and coming artists as well as one that promotes respective culture with posters around the venue reminding people about consent and gender neutral bathrooms.
The drinks are also well priced was $6 for a beer.
Food here is great. Beer selection here is great.
As a live music venue it can be a bit hit and miss. The stage is quite low which is great if you are at the front of the pack but if you are near the entrance you will only be able to see the top of the performers heads. I recommend that if you want to see an act here get here early or don't bother.
I have eaten BBQ and smoked meats all around Melbourne and Geelong and this place is the first I will recommend. The owners and staff are always polite, friendly and the service is always speedy. The meats are flavoured and so damn tasty. One of the best restaurants around. The live music is always entertaining and the selection of drinks is quite varied. Honestly if you want the best you need to come here first they set the bar very high.
