Review Burger Johnny - Geelong

Came for lunch, had a Bruce Almighty $15, it hit the spot. Next time I'll try the Johnny's cheese burger. Service was good, place is small, seating for 14 inside.

Absolutely loved the quality of the burgers, onion rings to die for. Fantastic service and the home delivery option makes life easier for us whilst at work. Good old fashioned friendly service with quality ingredients. What more can a person ask for?

Pretty good burgers. Service is also friendly and customer focused. I rocked up around closing time on a weeknight, and the staff member fired the grill back up and cooked up a tasty treat. Nice.

Great food and service. The Brass Coq burger was amazing, chicken batter was so light and crispy, bun was sweet and fresh. Onion rings were great too, crumbed and not too greasy! Thanks Burger Johnny.

Great burgers in town, really yummy & pretty quick service. It's quite a tight area, so you don't want to have more than 4 people, and will only seat around 10. Recommend ordering ahead of time.

Pure burger heaven. I had the Johnny burger. The house made pickles and American mustard beautifully complimented the beef, lettuce and red onion. Their chips are super delicious as was the nutulla choc shake. Yum.

Food was good and shakes are fantastic. Delivery service was shocking. Ordered through eat now app and got confirmation text a few minutest later saying 60 min delivery time. After an hour and 15 minutes a phone call and then another 20 mins food arrived. Not the best first experience will still try again though as food was good.

Tasty burgers. Good spot to have lunch, and everything was freshly prepared and cooked right in front of us. It's a little place that does well at what it does. I recommend it.

Well - talk about serendipity. I was in Geelong on a whim and had an hour to kill before catching the rattler back to Melbs. I was thinking burger and as I turned the corner Burger Johnny hove into view. A quick Google established that it may be able to deliver the goods so in I went. It had that certain what-is-it that so my burger-sense immediately put it up its eyebrows and I realised I had stumbled onto something special. The menu was matter-of-fact and not cluttered with options which is always a good sign. I gave my order to the young sportsman on the other side of the counter who simply exuded competence. I went with the Cheese Burger, some fries and their Bloody hot aioli - more about that shortly. In good time it arrived and I was on my way. I hike as a hobby and set a pretty cracking pace, so it was a surprise that a couple of minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder and it's none other than the young sportsman holding my forgotten aioli. I unwrapped their offering in the park and my goodness, what a masterful burger! It was perfectly put together and just the right size to manage without bits of it ending up in you lap. The sauces complemented the splendid patty without overpowering it and the salad was crisp and inviting. The chips were likewise excellent and perfectly cooked. Now we come to the Bloody Hot Aioli. Simmered in the pits of hell, it sat innocently in its tub giving no indication of the torments within. Now I like spicy food, but even I had trouble accommodating its exuberance! All in all a terrific experience from start to finish.

Bruce almighty burger was too die for..! I was expecting a juicy burger and sure enough, it was delicious:))) The chips with the aioli sauce was a winner also

The hallouminati burger is to die for! Great option for those vegos out there! You can even have your burgers with lettuce leaves instead of the bun to turn it into a lighter meal & of course always service with a smile� #drools #bestburgers

Consistently cooked to perfection, mouth watering, juicy beef. Chucked in a fried chicken for a real hunger buster, did not disappoint. Good job Johnny

I dropped in to grab a meal after hearing good things about the food and was so disappointed. The tomato on the burger was white and mushy, the inside of the bun was burned and the chips were so salty they were inedible. The guy who served us was pleasant enough, but the food standards seem lacking.

Enjoyed my meal here. Everything you want in a burger place! Friendly staff and good sized portions. Would go again.

Best burgers in Geelong by far! Throw a couple gems and a shake in there and your looking at one hell of a combo. Get in there and see the boys! You won’t regret it!

One of the best burgers in town. We are big burgers fans, and these are ticking all the right boxes. Even though we have a couple of burgers joints within walking distance, it's worth a drive in to town.

Not my kind of place. Good for kids who dont want to eat maccas. For the cost cheap pub meal would have been a better choice

Flat stick, the best tasting burger I've ever had. They have a great special at the moment too, which is awesome for a quick evening lunner (lunch and dinner). 11/10 do recommend.

I have ordered burger Johnny a few times. They are so inconsistent. The first time we ordered was amazing large thick shakes great burgers as described awesome chips. I would expect this quality every time for the price. Tonight we ordered and got a chocolate thick shake that was like water a strawberry thick shake that tasted like off sour milk. Our hot as hell aoli was lumpy and looked split also so hot it was inedible... Chips cold... Chicken in burger had been left is the deep fryer to long and tasted burnt.... What a Waste of money.

Went into Burger Johnny for a quick feed on my lunch break and boy-oh-boy was i treated to a good feed! Burgers were of such high quality and very filling. The classic Johnny Burger is hard to beat. Seamus and Tom were great for a chat while i waited for my order. Definitely becoming a regular of this place!

My new go to burger place...the subtle flamed grill taste, awesome big Bruce burger with double patties was right up my alley. Not one to usually like chicken burgers but the brass coq burger was a beautiful mix of flavours with a hint of chillie. My mouths watering just thinking about burger Johnny !!!!!

Today my boyfriend and I visited, I really loved the atmosphere, design and music was pretty fantastic, I ordered the Veggo burger, I changed some ingredients and they were more than happy to oblige which was lovely, I enjoyed the burger however for me there wasn't enough sauce (I love my sauce) and the chips were slightly overlooked, however I still really enjoyed my meal, my Boyfriend ordered 'The Big Rigg' which he thoroughly enjoyed. (We'd already eaten some chips in the photos)

Burger Johnny, probably one of the best burger joints in VIC by far. The food is large and great, the chefs are friendly, there aren't any specials for the chefs to go down your throat on. Overall a really great place. I recommend this place to anyone that likes a big beefy burger. 11/10

Cool vibe, friendly staff, quality ingredients...... but the Burgers didn't work for me. <br/><br/>Johhny's Guys and Gals treat their Burger patty's with love, but the Burgers flail when it comes to ratios and construction. Way too much Meat, not nearly enough sauces and poor choice of cheese. The Burger is clean and kinda fresh, but that's not why I order a $15 burger.

Juciy Johnny! <br/><br/>Johnny's is a great addition to Geelong's burgers. The Beef patty is super juicy, the bbq bacon has a great slightly burnt flare and bun soaks up the sauce perfectly! This is a burger you eat whilst thinking about when your next available to come back for another! And for me that will be next week...and maybe the week after! And an extra tip is to try the perfectly picked homemade pickles! <br/><br/>Bring on next Friday!

Tried this new burger joint last night and was not disappointed in the slightest! I had the Johnny Burger with bacon with a side of chips. The meat patty itself was moist & full of flavour, great construction so that it didn't fall apart whilst eating and the seasoning on the chips is delicious! Super filling and reasonably priced compared with other gourmet burger places. If only I had tried one of their milkshakes... Oh well, gives me a good excuse to go back!!!
