Well - talk about serendipity. I was in Geelong on a whim and had an hour to kill before catching the rattler back to Melbs. I was thinking burger and as I turned the corner Burger Johnny hove into view. A quick Google established that it may be able to deliver the goods so in I went. It had that certain what-is-it that so my burger-sense immediately put it up its eyebrows and I realised I had stumbled onto something special. The menu was matter-of-fact and not cluttered with options which is always a good sign. I gave my order to the young sportsman on the other side of the counter who simply exuded competence. I went with the Cheese Burger, some fries and their Bloody hot aioli - more about that shortly. In good time it arrived and I was on my way. I hike as a hobby and set a pretty cracking pace, so it was a surprise that a couple of minutes later I felt a tap on my shoulder and it's none other than the young sportsman holding my forgotten aioli. I unwrapped their offering in the park and my goodness, what a masterful burger! It was perfectly put together and just the right size to manage without bits of it ending up in you lap. The sauces complemented the splendid patty without overpowering it and the salad was crisp and inviting. The chips were likewise excellent and perfectly cooked. Now we come to the Bloody Hot Aioli. Simmered in the pits of hell, it sat innocently in its tub giving no indication of the torments within. Now I like spicy food, but even I had trouble accommodating its exuberance! All in all a terrific experience from start to finish.
Bruce almighty burger was too die for..! I was expecting a juicy burger and sure enough, it was delicious:)))
The chips with the aioli sauce was a winner also

Fresh burger bun, zingy mustard, crisp lettuce, tasty mayonnaise, meat pattie cooked to perfection. The Johnny burger was delicious. Worth every cent
I've been to Burger Johnny a few times now and love everything I have tried.
There is a great variety of beef and chicken options and I am looking forward to my next visit
My new go to burger place...the subtle flamed grill taste, awesome big Bruce burger with double patties was right up my alley. Not one to usually like chicken burgers but the brass coq burger was a beautiful mix of flavours with a hint of chillie. My mouths watering just thinking about burger Johnny !!!!!
Today my boyfriend and I visited, I really loved the atmosphere, design and music was pretty fantastic, I ordered the Veggo burger, I changed some ingredients and they were more than happy to oblige which was lovely, I enjoyed the burger however for me there wasn't enough sauce (I love my sauce) and the chips were slightly overlooked, however I still really enjoyed my meal, my Boyfriend ordered 'The Big Rigg' which he thoroughly enjoyed. (We'd already eaten some chips in the photos)
Burger Johnny, probably one of the best burger joints in VIC by far. The food is large and great, the chefs are friendly, there aren't any specials for the chefs to go down your throat on. Overall a really great place. I recommend this place to anyone that likes a big beefy burger. 11/10
Great assortment of burgers to satisfy any tastebud. Quality meal, flavoursome. Best place for your burger fix in Geelong by far! Well done guys!
Juciy Johnny!
Johnny's is a great addition to Geelong's burgers. The Beef patty is super juicy, the bbq bacon has a great slightly burnt flare and bun soaks up the sauce perfectly! This is a burger you eat whilst thinking about when your next available to come back for another! And for me that will be next week...and maybe the week after! And an extra tip is to try the perfectly picked homemade pickles!

Tried this new burger joint last night and was not disappointed in the slightest! I had the Johnny Burger with bacon with a side of chips. The meat patty itself was moist & full of flavour, great construction so that it didn't fall apart whilst eating and the seasoning on the chips is delicious! Super filling and reasonably priced compared with other gourmet burger places. If only I had tried one of their milkshakes... Oh well, gives me a good excuse to go back!!!
Absolutely loved the quality of the burgers, onion rings to die for. Fantastic service and the home delivery option makes life easier for us whilst at work. Good old fashioned friendly service with quality ingredients. What more can a person ask for?
Pretty good burgers. Service is also friendly and customer focused. I rocked up around closing time on a weeknight, and the staff member fired the grill back up and cooked up a tasty treat. Nice.
Great food and service. The Brass Coq burger was amazing, chicken batter was so light and crispy, bun was sweet and fresh. Onion rings were great too, crumbed and not too greasy! Thanks Burger Johnny.
Great burgers in town, really yummy & pretty quick service.
It's quite a tight area, so you don't want to have more than 4 people, and will only seat around 10. Recommend ordering ahead of time.
Pure burger heaven. I had the Johnny burger. The house made pickles and American mustard beautifully complimented the beef, lettuce and red onion. Their chips are super delicious as was the nutulla choc shake. Yum.
Tasty burgers. Good spot to have lunch, and everything was freshly prepared and cooked right in front of us. It's a little place that does well at what it does. I recommend it.
